This Publix is huge, and that was a pleasant surprise! Since it's located in Celebration, it's open until 11:00 p.m. instead of 10:00 p.m., which worked out perfectly for us. We were staying in a condo with a full kitchen and refrigerator, so we stocked up on everything we needed for our stay. The store had an excellent selection of fresh produce, groceries, and prepared foods, making it easy to find exactly what we wanted. After another grocery shopping experience elsewhere that wasn't nearly as enjoyable, I especially appreciated how clean, organized, and well-run this Publix was. Shopping here felt relaxed and efficient, with plenty of fresh choices and a civilized way of doing business. Thank you, Publix! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. I was staying nearby during the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend and stopped in here a few times to buy food, drinks, and snacks. The store was bright, clean, well-stocked, and well-maintained. Each time I was here, it was easy to find whatever I needed. I liked that they had ready made hot food on the days where I didn't feel like cooking. It was very convenient to pay for my items using one of their easy-to-use self checkout kiosks. I found their prices were very competitive for a big supermarket chain. read more

Needing groceries for our stay and the chain came highly recommended from coworkers who had lived in areas with a Publix & had shopped there. We arrived found a parking spot near the door and went inside. We were hungry - hungry & grocery shopping not a good combination. But found a deli counter serving sandwiches to order got a Roast Beef, toasted with creamy horseradish hmmm delicious & hit the spot. The Mrs got the after Thanksgiving Day. Turkey Breast, Cranberries and Bacon (we ate out - no leftover turkey sandwiches this year). Another delicious selection. Now to shop. Clean store, wide aisles and friendly employees. This is the Publix closest to our Wyndham timeshare so we go here regularly when in town. My brother had an extremely helpful check out register staff who told him that the precut watermelon he bought was buy one, get one free. Then she went out of her way and got him another one! That is what I call A+ customer service!!! I went the next day for more items and picked up some mini cannolis from the bakery which my teenage son says were outstanding! So another shout out to the bakery! They were even on sale and I knew my husband likes them, but he never even got to try them because my son ate all four Guess it will be time to head to Publix again! A newer Publix which was nice and clean. However, there was slim selections on the shelves as items were not restocked. We bought some apples and the sign said .99/1lb. When it was wrung up, we paid full price. We were told to go to customer service for a price check and refund. Instead of giving us the difference, they gave us what it was worth which means we still overpaid. We went to 2 different workers and they couldn't figure it out. Also, as clean and new as this place is, they're still more expensive than the store down the street. Unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant experience. read more

Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. Came here to grab a pub sub for lunch and was surprisingly pleased that there was no line for subs at 12pm. I found everything I needed and the location was clean. My favorite part about the trip was I saw two managers at different points of my shopping and both were complimenting team members on their good work. To see that happening twice in one trip made me feel good that the workers were being valued. Great job, publix team! read more

Even though Publix is a pretty massive chain in this region, I'm blown away by the customer service at this location! Another winning factor is that I do my grocery shopping on Wednesdays to take advantage of their weekly $5-sushi deals, and this store always has the best variety of sushi (including nigiri and extra options without shellfish). Unlike other Publix's, they don't keep the BOGOS in any particular section. You'll have to rely on their printed catalogues or go aisle by aisle. I don't particularly mind since it keeps me from spending unnecessarily, but it is a little more work to find the best deals. Their clearance rack is usually hit or miss as well, but the items are very random, which I find to be a pleasant surprise! Other miscellaneous info: This location has self-checkout and normal lines. It also has occasional sampling tables! My family enjoys grabbing decorative pots from their seasonal selection just outside of the doors, which sometimes turns into a large stack of pool floaties. I have been in this location before but I don't shop in Publix very much anyway. This location is a good distance from our home but we were looking for a specific item and this was the closest location of any kind that showed it in stock. We had to ask for some assistance to find the item which was located in the pharmacy area but they were very friendly and helped us quickly. On the one visit we just picked up the item we needed and when we went back today we also did a little other shopping in the store. If you shop at Publix before they are all pretty much the same for what they carry with some variances. We found the items we were looking for and something else along the way, which is pretty normal. We tend to use the self-checkouts most of the time which actually work very nice. They don't have them at every location I've been to but I tend to find the more convenient when they are there. Employees are always friendly and the store itself is clean and well lit. They have a good size parking lot and plenty of handicap parking available. read more

Publix saves the day!!! We have been shopping at this Publix since they opened and the customer service is always fantastic. This time they literally saved the day. For over a week we had been searching everywhere for Cocktail Rye Bread. We even had been to another Publix close by so I wrongfully assumed that this Publix wouldn't have it. While checking or last ditch efforts I made the decision to call and see by chance if this location had any in stock. I spoke to a very sweet lady in the deli, salt I didn't get her name, but she knew exactly what I was looking for and asked me to hold to see if they had any on hand. When she came back on the line she was happy to tell me they did indeed have some and asked how many I needed and she would hold them until I could get there. We were so excited that Mom and I left the store we were at and headed over. The deli was a little busy but I patiently waited and when it was my turn the nice lady art the register helped me connect with my bread. Thank you Publix for being a super hero! I typically do not get too excited about the grocery store Publix, none of them have had the wow factor until this one. Even the newer one by my family in Naples is kind of grimey looking and the ones I have been to in Fort Lauderdale look dated. This store however, is probably the nicest one I have been to in this chain! This store is very clean and kept up quite nicely. Some things that stood out to me here: -Nice bakery section -Fresh looking salad bar -Quality produce -Grab and go veggie section (convenient items for visiting the Orlando parks) -Fresh cut fruit variety -Good assortment of cheeses and coffee Is this a Wegmans or the flagship Price Chopper in my hometown? No, but it's still nice for this brand. There is a liquor store next door to the supermarket, but they do sell wine in the grocery store. We were able to check out quickly too. read more

This Publix is absolutely stunning. It's huge and the outside is country looking and pristine. When you walk in it appears they have everything and also look super well staffed. Being from Miami I always wish they had croquetas which they don't but hey not all supermarkets are perfect. Like I said great Publix. However... the staff I felt is so rude and dry. The only person I found nice was the woman making our sandwiches. Other than that everyone else gave us some sort of bland face. So disappointing. At the bakery we stood for a good 5 minutes (no one is in front of us). Literally bakery staff walking by us not even acknowledging our presence. No one wanted to help us. We had to wave down someone that was right in front of us to help us. Obnoxious. I would come back just because they are so well staff but not coming for anything that has to do with service. read more

This Publix is located in Kissimee in the direction of Lake Buena Vista. It is (sort of) located behind a Joe's Crab Shack and Cold Stone Creamery. The store was organized and clean. It was easy to find the items that we were looking for although this was our first time there. The cashier was very nice and rang up our items pretty quickly. read more

This is a Publix that I frequent very often. Unfortunately, the place is always swamped. I always feel like it's utter chaos and it seems like they need about an additional 3 or 4 lanes open at any time of the day. The place was so busy that I wasn't even able to find an employee able to help me. It's quite discouraging when you can't find something and no one is able to help you. I went here for just 2 items (a specific sunscreen and a certain type of mascara for my wife) and this location had neither item. We were quite disappointed with the options available in both of these products. We checked Walgreens beforehand and they had a much greater choice in both items (but alas, we were still unable to find what we needed). If you are to go to this Publix for a meal or just any shopping needs, I would go towards either open or close. The weekends are always hectic and the 5 o'clock rush is quite real. They normally have great options when it comes to food options, but they lack in a few other areas. read more

I supposed that after four years, my original review may not be looked at as valid. I also supposed that would be right. Sadly, this Publix is no longer a pleasure. The two stars are solidly because this place has a bunch of good employees that have been around for years, even since the old location. Publix in it's own is not a bad store. They are a solid 2nd to Wegman's. This store though gives me anxiety. Rewind back to the fact that this store was a smaller Goodings back in the day. It was converted and perhaps they decided to add a few extra aisles. This store is too tight, and barely has room for more than one cart to pass another in any row. If you plan on actually shopping, you cannot stop and look, because you will be holding everyone up. They also recently rearranged the whole store (again) to make it "easier." This did not make it easier. The deli is about the worst place on the planet outside of comcast for customer service. They are always grumpy and do not care if you ordered your food two hours earlier (to avoid the chaos and grumpiness). We have had countless issues. Prices keep going up and up as well. I tell my wife every time that I will not return here. I always do. Self inflicted wounds I suppose. read more

I try to avoid this Publix when I can even though it's my neighborhood one. It is ALWAYS busy, no matter what time or day, because of all the tourists it accommodates. Expect to wait awhile for a sub, even if you've ordered ahead of time and are picking up within the timeframe. People will bump into you or push you to get what they need. There are also usually lots of Instacart shoppers who are rude and pushy as well. There are always very long lines, even for self-checkout. The layout of the store is also kind of odd and not what I'm used to personally. Just skip this one! read more

We love Publix which we don't have where we're from so every time I'm near one I gotta go in and get my sub and iced tea. I usually get my ultimate sandwich which is so delicious. It's a little pricier than subway but everything is so much better! While the lady was making our sandwiches my daughter said she was hungry so she gave her some cheese. I thought it was so nice. I must be missing something here. I'm not sure what the big deal is with Publix. I did not enjoy it too much. I do like the wide variety of products, but the prices are too high for my liking. I paid $4 for a bag of carrots. I can get organic carrots at Sprouts for half the price. It was hard to find someone to help us. We had to go to the meat department to have someone answer a question. It is a little tight in the aisles as well. I guess I was going in all excited too much because of how people spoke about Publix. Maybe this just was not the Publix to go to. Publix Pharmacy was just so extremely rude to me over in Celebration,FL. My doctor called in my prescription for Adderall and they've been out of stock so I called to check on it to see if they got it in and the pharmacy tech got really snippy with me and said my doctor should have called it closer to where I live and they don't normally take prescriptions from doctors down in Palm Beach. I explained this was my doctor and although I have seen her in person we do Telehealth mostly started because of Covid restrictions, and also for convenience since I've been so sick. She was very rude and said Publix doesn't take Telehealth prescriptions. I told her this wasn't just a Telehealth doctor and yes they do as my Plant City one does it. The only reason my doc called the prescription over there was because she had several patients that have gotten their adderall there because it's been on backorder for a year. She was just being a good doctor and trying to get my my prescription at any place that would have it. YOUR TECH SAID this and I QUOTE "You don't need to tell me how to do my job" and then flippantly said "have a nice day" and slammed the phone down on me. WOW! I've never been treated so rude by any pharmacy in my life. I'm a lifelong Florida native and have always had amazing experiences in Publix. I grew up in your stores getting cookies from the bakery when I would shop with my Mom. I always buy. my groceries with you. This seriously bothered me. Her name, I did not catch, but it sounded like a name that wasn't easy to pronounce and she sounded very young. I own my own business and if I had someone like that working for me, I would definitely like to know. With the way our medications in the US are mostly all on back order now these techs need to have a little sympathy towards this situation. I've called 15-20 pharmacies at a time just trying to see if my medications which I require, are in stock. I spend full days doing this. It's so tiring. I'm a survivor of Covid after being on the vent for almost a month and I was not expected to live. It's a miracle I'm even alive and I need this medication for energy so I can continue to heal. In general, I am a big fan of Publix, but this one is absolutely outstanding! It's larger than any other Publix I've seen and it's just so nice, new, and clean with the usual wonderful customer service! It's located right off of 192 making it very convenient if you are staying in the area visiting The Mouse House. When we don't stay on Disney Property, we usually stay in one of the hotels on this strip of 192, so we frequent this Publix on almost all of our trips to Disney. There's also a Publix Liquor Store connected with a separate entrance. They don't have the largest selection in the world, but it is decent and prices are comparable to other places like ABC. They always have the liquor/liquors I'm looking for, then again, I drink the norm. Customer service here is also top-notch! read more

New, big, bright, clean, organized supermarket on Route 192 near Celebration and really close to my parent's vacation spot. Large wine shop area with good prices. Shelf after shelf of merchandise. Super organized. Terrific deli, produce, hot food bar, salad bar, baked goods area, and more. So easy to grab everything we needed for the fridge, and the employees here are super nice and helpful. It's a Publix, higher end than a Shoprite for those of you NY Metro Area folks. They have a decent selection of organic products. The area off the pharmacy area has a large selection of ointments and a huge bandaid section ( the reason we were there). We were in and out in a matter of ten minutes, but the layout of the supermarket was clearly marked and easy to navigate. The cashiers were friendly and lines were short. Why am I so excited about a Publix? Well, I will tell you. This place is nice, new and close to home! I no longer have to leave my bubble to get my snack on. The best part is that they kept all of the staff from the old Publix. Cool new things to note at this location: Hot food bar, salad bar, olive bar, wine bar (with free sampling..I know right), cheese station..and a fish monger..wtf!!! I can actually talk to the same person about fish and get recommendations on how to prepare and cook my fish. This location also has a Redbox. It just keeps getting better. Sparkling new Publix in Celebration. I was surprised to see a Publix here when there is another right up the street but it is a nice one. Not sure what was here before but they kept the celling duck work and by painting it brown it makes the store look modern. Like any other Publix it has all the produce, meats, grains, bakery, seafood etc.... My favorite area was the wine section, first time I see a wine chiller at a grocery store. It shares the plaza with several other stores so it can get busy at times. And yes you will find your stuffed Mickey and Minnie here!!. read more

Continually, I have faced the same challenge with Publix's deli department. They are slow and often have employees standing around allowing a line to form. While, these employees might be doing other minor roles for the operation, the priorities must be reexamined. I have never waited less than 15 minutes to acquire the items I wanted. Even if it is like today, a pound of corned beef. It is very sad, when you reach out to a company on multiple occasions about the same issue with no measurable result. Do not get me started with the sandwich line. I am currently standing with about ten people in line waiting for sandwiches and one person assisting. read more

If we're going by the star rating descriptions, then I think this is as good as it gets. A one stop shop for groceries, prescriptions and all of your alcohol needs (with attached liquor store), this Publix is conveniently located in the Water Tower Shoppes near a SuperCuts, several restaurants and even an automotive service center. It's relocated from the shopping center on South International drive and, I think, is going to benefit from a much improved locations. Celebration residents are no doubt pleased as well, since they can now take their NEV to the grocery store. Bottom line is that you could park once and knock out a days worth of errands.
