I love Lowe's Foods! They've got a fantastic deli counter, they tend to carry a lot of hard to find items, great cheese selection, and a fantastic beer and wine section! The butcher is also top notch. We like our steaks cut in a very particular way and they're always willing to help us out.They They have a pretty incredible selection of sausage as well for some reason. If sausage is your thing, this is your place for sure. Best part is that you can grab a beer at the little bar area to make your shopping experience all that much more enjoyable! read more

I hadn't shopped at a Lowe's Food grocery store in years. As I was shopping at a nearby store I noticed the parking lot was PACKED so I decided to stop by to get a few things for a salad. Well I walked in to a WHOLE party! There were at least 100 ppl at the wine/beer bar drinking, talking, laughing and just having a great time! There's were others like me shopping but I particularly liked the produce section. This will be my new grocery store for shopping. They have better prices than the competitor and a lot more to offer. I'm always so late finding out about things. Well now I know. Club Lowe's on a Thursday night is the place to be!! I got breakfast, lunch, dinner snacks and dog treats all for $60!!! The produce selection reminds me a lot of the quality found in Wegman's found up north. This makes me happy. read more

For a grocery store, this place is really cool! The closest thing I could kinda compare it too would be Whole Foods or a Fresh Market but this has so much more personality and way better prices, not to mention that they have a Beer Den where you can get a beer and sit there and enjoy a cold one right there. My niece brought me here because she wanted me to see it, knowing I like unique, had the been den and that they had a good selection of local beers that we could look for anything to take back to Florida with us. They have the usual things like a deli and bakery but then they had so much more. The part of the store that had all these areas made it almost look like individual towns or shops but each were different and super cute. Honestly, there was a ton of things that I could have bought to bring home with us but we didn't have room in our luggage so maybe if we take a road trip up here. Their meat area even has it where they have cooked steak for you to pick up, kinda like chicken or ribs and they have an area that if you want a bottle of wine that you can take it there and it will chill while you're shopping so it is cold for you when you get home. They will also take any produce and slice, dice or whatever you need to it so you don't have to. How awesome is that? If I lived in the area, I could see myself shopping here often. Has no idea that you must take the protective skin off pepperoni before slicing and adding it to a sandwich. 3 years, 40 odd stores (due to work) and 1/2 of the time my meal is interrupted by biting into the skin sealing pepperoni. Out of every Lowe's foods I have been to, this one exceeds all others. There is a bar here that serves wine, beer on tap, and sometimes even a mixed drink. You can shop while you drink or relax in a decent sized sitting area. During Christmas, they even have a harpist playing Christmas songs. Their wine and beer selection is massive. There's so much to choose from. The bakery, deli, meat departments, etc are set up like their own little store front. It's such a neat grocery store to set foot in! Everything is high quality, from the food, to the drinks, to the flower shop, and so on! The employees here are also friendly, and always helpful! read more

I stopped in because I love a local gourmet experience. This store is fabulous. My first stop was produce, deli, meats and cheeses. Wow! So much to choose from. So many time savers. I happened to stop in on a day where they had BOGO throughout. I had to purchase the BBQ. The smoke smell practically drew me too the area. I must have been hungry. They smoke it all. I placed sandwiches in my cart. I then hit the bakery. HAND PIES. I bought Apple and Peach. And the giant double chocolate cookies. I then stopped to get coffee and bought buckeyes. As I drank my coffee, I shopped in the beer aisle. So. Special. My whole experience. You should visit if you are in the area. read more

If you like cooking, eating or drinking this is the place for you. Before you even get started looking around head to the bar and grab yourself an adult bevy. Pro tip: buy a bottle of wine, champagne or beer and just pay the corking fee. They will recork your bottle and keep it chilled while you shop. Awesome bar staff. Plus you can't beat some of the prices! I got a specialty 12 pack of the same beer for the price of a 6 pack. Every area has a ridiculous amount of items in a variety of flavors. The cheese area alone gets me stuck. The produce is always fresh. Same for the meat and seafood. I haven't given into any of their prepared foods but I can tell you they look and smell delicious. It isn't open before noon but not for a lack of requests. Nice deli to the right of that; with a wide variety of meats, cheeses, and ready-made sandwiches waiting to be fast-blasted in the paninizer or whatever is popular with young people these days. Across from that is the bakery where it looks like they bake things made with real ingredients! not packages... and if it's a special sort of day they's got a slew of genuine simulated candles and musics that goes on just a little too long. and so it goes around the store: meats, spices, dairy... all of it fancied up just a bit for your distraction. The store is immaculate. Everything is in its place and everything has a place. The staff is courteous, helpful and proactive to make sure you are getting what you need. The selection is excellent. I noticed that portions of smoked fish and other items were twice as big as Whole Foods for the same price! The floral section is gorgeous! My only complaint that makes this not five stars is that I purchased shrimp to make my famous shrimp scampi. I've traveled all the way from California across the USA picking up my brother in the Midwest with our kids to visit our mom. We decided to celebrate our birthdays together and the main dish would be the scampi. The shrimp I purchased was so fishy that no one could get through their meal. I'm not willing to spend an hour driving back there, dealing with the situation and coming back because I want to make the most of my limited time with my family. In short, I would definitely go back there for anything but seafood. read more

Yes, it is pricey but I shop here every week even so. They have EVERYTHING. Yes literally, in the food, wine and beer department. My friends and I ate there after church. We went through the various prepared food lines- again everything your heart desires. Unfortunately I can't give them the last star because you are required to take your food through the final checkout and then return to the eating area. It was an unnecessary inconvenience. We could have just as well purchased it at the coffee counter. But the surprising thing was the very low cost to do this. And for seniors, we were extra happy. read more

I go to this store to pick up certain things - mainly spiralized veggies, salmon, sausages, organic burgers and ground beef, sushi and breads. The employees are fantastic, esp the ones that have been there awhile. The sausage master is a lovely man and the guy behind the seafood case is always so helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is always so comfortable in the store. I always get my meat for Thanksgiving and Christmas here. They have the best selection and I can always count on one of the butchers to help me find the right size for the number of guests I'm serving. I won't go anywhere else for my holiday meat. The only downside is the very limited selection of dairy free cheese, milk, butter and frozen and prepared food. Also I really wish they had a grocery app. It would make shopping a little smoother. read more

Lowes Food really lucked up when it moved from its Brawley School Rd. location, to its new home on Town Square Circle. More space, stand alone, & much more modern & inviting. The aisles are wide & the lighting is bright & the store itself is clean. Lowes reminds me a lot of Harris Teeter...they have a customer rewards program, have "Lowes to go" online grocery ordering, self checkouts, an awesome deli / bakery section, salad bar, & they offer sushi. I think some of there prices mirror Harris Teeter, but not across the board - I noticed some things actually were more expensive than the Teeter. They have a pretty good sized parking lot, so you won't have to fight for parking. They also offer free wi-fi. read more

My Lowe's Food store off Timber dr and the store is great. The food is the best quality. The people outside the checkout are great. Unfortunately to get it home requires them to bag the food. This is where the quality falters. They will put anything in any bag with any other food. Wonder where your hand picked tomatoes are. Find the bag with the largest collection of cans. You wonder why your package of ham smells fishy. That is because the fish are wrapped and then put in an unsealed bad into the bag with your sliced turkey, ham, or any other sandwich meet. Maybe I should ask them if I can bad my own groceries. This would be great the times I personally shop. But what about when I asked them to shop AND bag for me??? read more

I love Lowes Foods. The selection and ambiance are second to no grocery store around. On service, however, it is a bit of mixed bag. The staff at the coffee shop are, let's say, a little unpredictable. I merely asked about the Mountain Morning dark roast and the attendant acted as though I had asked her to part the Red Sea. The shop's sign showed it as a brew that would be, presumably, available that day (this was the week of January 10th, 2023 - Thursday maybe). The attendant said "I can't do that", and I asked why not? Then, she said we're out of it. Now, the response wasn't unreasonable, really, but just the tone and demeanor was totally rude and condescending. I mentioned what the sign said, listing Mountain Morning, and they said they didn't maintain the sign. (Well, who does then?). It just wasn't the best experience. Look, the Starbucks around the block was closed, and i usually go there. I went to Lowes Foods, expecting good service and great coffee. Lowes Foods has a nice coffee bar. If store wants to pick up business for its coffee, then try and pick up business for the coffee - don't let someone who obviously needs to work on people skills run the place. read more

Delivery service just doesn't work. I purchased a year subscription to online ordering. I purchased it because I could get the 5 gallon water bottles delivered to my home. The first order I placed I got the non-exchange price. I knew the extra cost was to get the bottles so I could then have some to exchange. The next order I placed I ordered the bottles at the exchange price. The delivery people are just DoorDashers, Lowe's simply uses them, they also don't tip these drivers so they are always looking for a tip. When the bottles came on that second order, I had the exchange bottles ready to go. The driver said "I don't have to take those back!". I placed several more orders and received the bottles at exchange pricing. I figured Lowe's must just be writing this off, but it also left me with bottles to recycle, which I have been doing through the town. Today's order came, and I was charged $30 extra, for which I did not approve. Any extra charges have to be approved, this is noted on their website. I called the store and a rude woman named Candy, told me that they weren't doing the water bottles that way anymore. I persisted, and although she had identified herself as the store manager, she then told me she would get him. He had more of the same information, and told me that if I brought the bottles in, they would exchange them. I paid $100 for the year subscription to online shopping, and an additional $9.95 for the delivery service each time. This is not a delivery service, this is them using a service, with no way to return items. This needs to be figured out. Spend the $10 per delivery to buy a van, and have a employee actually deliver the items. I look forward to hearing from corporate with a solution to this issue. read more

They have good produce and decent sale items but in Hickory, it seems like they have no common sense. For instance , I love the sausage sandwiches and asked the guy why they stop selling them at 4 pm, he said because lunch is over. And not every Lowe's sells sausage sandwiches off the grill; each store is different. They promptly close the deli at 9PM. My biggest beef is the overabundance of employees who say hello but no real conversations after that. - I like to bag my own groceries and have to explain this to at least two baggers each time I go. Now I just go through the self checkout lane, which takes forever. read more

I'm not saying that every grocery store should have cup holders on the carts where you can put the beverage you just purchased at their in-store craft beer and wine bar, but Lowes does and it capped off a top notch experience. I could go on and on about how the store is spotlessly clean. Or, I could talk about how each department has its own theme with exhaustive work put into defining the motif. If you need to find the bakery, look for the giant birthday candles. The cheese department has a roof over it supported by columns made from wheels of cheese. I could also speak at some length about how friendly the associates are. They don't just ask if they can help and move on, they actually try to engage with you to make sure that you're finding what you need. And how could I leave out the generous selection of goods? We had our choice of a variety of anything we needed. And then, of course, the fact that you can buy a beer from one of several taps that change on seemingly a day-to-day basis and enjoy that beverage as you walk around choosing your other items. I love going to Lowe's From the rotisserie chicken, ( get the chicken salad ) it's amazing ! Their Mac and cheese is my favorite ! To the fresh herb garden and the amounts of cheeses they sell ! You'll be in heaven Their meat and seafood department is amazing !! My husband is obsessed with their pulled pork ! It's absolute heaven ! Their bread is always fresh and delicious ( so many selections ) and their bakery / cakes are so nice and intricate and reasonably priced ! I love that you can have a beer and shop as well !! We love this store. A store with a bar to grab a glass of wine or beer to keep your shopping experience fun - genius. Moving from California, this quickly became our favorite place to shop. Everything is clean and organized and the freezer section is huge. Great pastured egg options, variety of butter and non-dairy milk. All the staff members here are very friendly and helpful. One star less for the following: fancier cheeses are priced a bit on the steep side, organic produce is available, but the section is small, hard to find many grass fed beef options (just packaged ground beef from what we could find) and would like to see organic/humanely raised labeled chicken and pork. I still need to ask their butcher if they do in fact have some that just isn't clearly labeled. I've been spoiled by Whole Foods and feel guilty when purchasing meat if I don't know the source. Anyway, we've checked out Harris Teeter and Aldi, but this is still the favorite. They even have live music and battle of the brewery nights! read more

Since the remodel, they now have fresh coffee, fresh baked breads, handmade cakes, cut your own herbs, spice barrels, and beer you can drink while shopping. I mean, they had me at coffee, but beer is a nice touch too! Absolutely love their smoked meats and sausages! Everyone is super friendly here and they are always eager to help you find something or get you what you are looking for! The seafood/meat counter has some great selections as well. For a grocery store, I am beyond impressed. They have really gone above and beyond to make grocery shopping a unique and interesting experience! Quite simply the greatest grocery store we've ever been to. This place is designed like an amusement park. Each department has a charming and unique decorative them. Staff was friendly and eager to engage our kids, seriously like Disney level. The cake department has a giant birthday cake with fake flaming candles, the bakery manager comes out with a remote control and had our boys pretend to blow out the giant candles and then reignite them. The extensive BBQ section has a fun steam-train theme that makes noises when kids push buttons. You can order beer in this grocery store and we loved the selection. Their veggie prep area worker was happy to make us fresh Guacamole even though there was some already made from a few hours before. This is a silly sounding recommendation, and not one I'll make often, but this grocery store simply can't be missed! read more

I think I prefer Lowes over HT for their produce a little more. The store is always clean and fully stocked, and there is a retired gentleman that works in the meat dept who is so very nice and helpful. I also like that they have a gas station here and they give you a discount on gas after you spend enough on groceries. Parking is also well laid out - I never have to walk far. Unlike HT across the street, they do not have "customer with child" parking. However, I appreciate the diaper bag hooks at the changing tables. read more

I had a great experience at Lowes - under unusual circumstances! After a long night, entailing a long story I won't go into here, I absolutely NEEDED a box of Wheat Chex cereal asap - and went to Lowes precisely at its 6am opening. It was pitch black outside and pouring rain, but the large store glowed like a warm clean beacon from the parking lot. Huddled and speckled with rain, I ducked into the supermarket and was instantly greeted by a surprisingly chipper guy cleaning the floors, who assured my the vast and sparkling clean store was indeed open. I was in a rush, but the clear layout let me find the cereal aisle within seconds, and as soon as I turned the corner, I was met by an employee! She asked if she could help me find anything as I anxiously scanned the shelves and when I let her know, she walked straight to the right spot, and pulled out a box of Wheat Chex cereal and handed it to me. Total relief! Time saved, and super friendly service. Might I remind you the store had been open for less than a minute? Rushing to the only open cashier, I looked at the empty space behind the counter and thought "Oh GREAT, I wonder how long it will take before someone actually notic---" And before I could finish the thought, a young blonde woman strode right out of a front office and helped to ring up my item. I didn't have a card, but she didn't hesitate to offer and use the store card, which saved me a $1.50 -- great, considering how pricey that cereal is. In less than a minute she'd finished the transaction while still managing some friendly small talk and getting me a nice discount. Thanks, cashier! As I rushed back out into the rain, I thought in wonder how alive and awake everyone in the store had been, even though they'd all probably been there since 5am to get ready, at the latest. The store itself was immaculate - clean, organized, and easy to navigate. The shelves were all stocked. And there was a wide selection. If Lowes could help me in this highly unusual predicament, I'd definitely trust them on a daily basis. Only drawback? The items I passed by seemed somewhat more expensive than the norm. But if you're looking for quality and customer service, this is the place. Love this Lowes Food location. I might be a bit biased since I live next door, but I truly think Lowes food has a great thing going. Every Thursday drinks are half price and the first Friday of the month, a band plays at night by the beer garden. From the smoke house, deli, bakery and the entire grocery is very well set up. Always an amazing collection of food and there's a lot of options more than just groceries, like coffee, beer, and great bakery snacks. But one thing I've found in the past 3 or so months is that everything that's packaged is old. But not like 1-2 days old, I've seen some chips that have been a little under a month old. There's been coffee where the fresh by date has been 15 days gone. The old food can range from crackers and cookies to yogurt and eggs. Not sure what is going as of late but kinda getting annoyed having to check all the dates before I buy the food and then putting it back and trying to find one that's not old. read more
