This is the WORST Publix I have ever been to. I've been in Gwinnett Co. for over 23 yrs & this location is by far the worst. I stay away from it for months or ebern years at a time & whenever I have popped back in out of sheer necessity it never fails- the customer service in on par with Walmart, the produce never looks inviting & the "managers" tend to be useless. I went in last week after months of avoiding that location & some things just aren't going to change! We came here because it was quicker than going to our normal: Sprouts. It wasn't good lol. They do have vegan options, but you can clearly tell there is neglect. Three of their items (tofu, pice de gallo, and just eggs) that I saw was literally super out of date like January this year out of date and it's almost May!! That's disgusting. I love Publix. I really do. But this location frustrates me. The deli line is always really slow. I asked for a rotesserie chicken, the lady said it will take another 18 min until it finishes. I decide to wait the 18 min. 20 min goes by, I'm told they're taking it out now. Ok, so I wait longer. She asked me what kind of chicken I want, I told her "ANYTHING" just to make it easier. Literally any rotesserie chicken will do. Another 10 min fly by and now it's been over 30 min waiting on this chicken. I walk around the area and I'm told "oh you walked around so she didn't see you so just wait by the deli." I go back to deli and now I'm in the very front. No one acknowledges me. It's been 45 min now and still no chicken. This ordeal was exhausting, frustrating, and it was all because I wanted to wait 18 min for the chicken that was promised. read more

I stopped in Publix for a couple of items. I was in/out in 10 mins. I paid for my items and walked over to the deli to order a sandwich for my daughter. 4 people ahead of me. Customer 1 was being helped. I got in line at 6:20pm (Sunday) and finally got my sandwich (hot) at 7:05 pm. *** 45 mins *** There was ONE person working the deli. *** Pauly (Deli) did an AMAZING job all by himself! *** As it turns out if you order your sandwich online... you are serviced FIRST! There was a person that was cleaning a sandwich station and watching us on line. Someone walked in and said she ordered online... and the person cleaning the sandwich station immediately made her sandwich. DO NOT STAND ON LINE... in the Publix Deli. There is a certain standard that I expect from Publix. This has been cultivated by numerous experiences at multiple Publix stores where customer service and product quality have been priorities and it shows. At this Publix, I have experienced nothing less than the expected as it relates to the employees. Everyone is always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help and often offer to do so with a smile. My problem is with the products. Someone has dropped the ball, let it roll into a gutter, and there it sits, all deflated. At this location I have to be super diligent about what I pick up. I have to check and double check expiration dates (something that I have only had to do at Kroger) because this location will have expired and/or nearly expired items on the shelf. I had to return some A1 sauce that I found was expired when I wanted to use it within a week of purchase. When I went to exchange it, I found that all of them on the shelf were expired and I lugged them all up to customer service. The shame! I have seen off colored meats (like bacon or ham). I want them to do better in the meat section. Packages of chicken breast or chicken parts will be slimy and disgusting with chicken juice everywhere. I've experienced this on numerous occasions and I can't buy it (even if it is BOGO and I want to real bad). Other stores don't have this problem. What has really upset me on this last visit, though, was the produce section. First of all, the selection is lacking. I couldn't find regular parsley, only organic. That might be my fault, but I looked pretty hard and this produce department isn't that large. Worse is the amount of spoiled products that are out and displayed. I can't with that. They've got clearly passed due and rotting pears neatly sat out like its all good. I saw gross eggplant. If you want onions, you'd better be ready for a full on battle with fruit flies. All of this is unacceptable. I wish that somebody (management?) would get it together because this is my most convenient Publix and I love the BOGO sales. I also really like the employees. However, I will just have to drive a little further to go to a Publix that is able to give me what I've come to expect. This is not it. read more

As a chain Publix has gotten everything right. I appreciate that they make customer service a priority and when checking out they always ask if you found everything ok. The store is always clean and I can usually find everything I need And if not I'm always able to find a help associate. They do have the best baked goods. Their pies and cookies are great. read more

Waiting for the sun to heat, etc. horrible customer service. Donovan is complete trash! Avoid this place like the plague. Would give zero stars if possible. These people have zero urgency and know they are hourly and could give a damn about how efficiently they are with "helping" you. Once again, Donovan is trash. Publix has gone down hill. Today me and my co-worker order a 12 inch sub and a 6 inch sub for lunch. My co-worker was so disappointed with her sandwich she just instantly trash it. It was not what she order she basically had lettuce spicy mustard and ham. She order a Italian sub with pepper jack cheese lettuce cucumber banana peppers and regular mustard. I order jerk turkey Spinach tomatoes black olives jalapeños pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo. Both Sandwiches was suppose to be toasted that didn't happen either. I thought it would have been busy upon arrival, it wasn't we just walk right up to the counter for the food, so that wasn't an excuse. This was an awful embarrassing experience Because I suggested to eat here. This is the worst set of sandwiches I ever had from Publix. This was absolutely garbage. read more

Although I have driven past numerous Publix stores during the past few years that I've lived in Georgia, I haven't shopped much at any of them. Kroger has usually been my go-to grocery store, mainly out of convenience. But I have come to know that Publix super markets are really awesome! This particular Publix is located less than a mile from my parents' house, so I've shopped here a couple times. Their parking lot is spacious, and I've never had problems finding a spot close to the entrance. The main thing I don't like about the parking lot is that there's only one cart-return area. That means I have to walk a little further than I'd like to return my cart. I love when they have cooking demos and serve samples of their latest recipes. I'm not sure how often they do these, but the last two times I went, they weren't serving anything up and I was a little bummed. Their food samples are always delicious, and although I always take one of the recipe cards thinking that I'll make them someday, I still haven't actually done so. Since I don't do a whole lot of cooking (YET!), I usually just buy snacks, frozen foods, drinks, and wine at Publix. Prices on these items usually aren't necessarily cheaper here than other places like Kroger or Walmart, but Publix generally feels cleaner and more well-organized. I have purchased meals from their deli a few times, and the chicken items area generally very good. I've had the Rotisserie Chicken Dinner which includes two thighs and two drumsticks, two sides, and a Hawaiian roll for $5.89. This was so much food that I had leftovers to enjoy the next day! For my sides, I usually get the potato wedges and mac 'n cheese. The potato wedges are well-seasoned and pretty good, but the mac 'n cheese is pretty plain and bland. I still order it since there aren't really many options in terms of sides. Recently, I ordered the 5-piece Chicken Wings Dinner which includes your choice of five wings, two sides, and a Hawaiian roll for $6.39. Per my request, they let me choose two different types of wings, so I got two Orange Glazed wings and three Lemon-Pepper wings. The wings are pretty large in size. I liked both flavors but thought the Orange Glazed was a lot tastier. It was deep-fried and covered in the sweet glaze. I highly recommend it! The lemon-pepper is not deep-fried so it's probably much "healthier." Although the flavor was good, it was a little dry. Overall, this Publix gets 4 stars for its nice, clean, and organized store environment, decently-priced products, and friendly employees. One should consider themselves lucky if they live close to this Publix since it's so easy to get in and out of here. This is for the pharmacist! Waited over and hour for my Prescription and I was in so much pain!! Plus they wasn't that busy!l like Walgreens or CVS. I wanted to try Publix was told by a friend they were great!! I feel they took their time in filling my medication!! I waited patiently for over and hour and my Patients has run out cause it's been 2hrs. The pharmacist on duty his name with Shilmar are something like that!! He wasn't rude or anything he just didn't care!! He had smirk on his face!! I work in the Healthcare industry and if we see people in pain we work them in right away!! This wasn't the case with Mr.S!! The Prescription was filled accordingly but if he did care he would just ask them can you fill her prescription she needs it as soon as possible!! Nope he didn't!! One of my favorite stores for groceries, location and it's never overly crowded. It's well stocked, clean, and it has a wonderful deli. The employees are always polite, helpful and welcoming. The bakery is pretty much my favorite department. If you haven't tasted a Publix cake by now then you "might" just be a little bourgeois. (I kid) Whenever I have to provide an impromptu dessert, to Publix I go. Don't sleep on the cheesecakes and brownies either because they are equally good. SPACIOUS! The one word that immediately struck me as I entered this store was spacious. I have never seen a more open, clean and spacious Publix. They are usually small and crowded and not very inviting. This space looked as if it once housed a Walmart. Although I don't shop my local Publix on a frequent basis, I would actually shop at this store and enjoy every minute of it. I came here to get a snack from the bakery. The bakery snacks are not self serve but the very nice employee was immediately available to wait on me. If you purchase snacks or lunch here, there is a nice dining area adjacent to the deli and bakery for you to sit and eat. I wandered around the store and I fell in love with the meat department because it is all glass so you can actually see employees and easily get their attention of you need help. There was a big open window available if you needed to have your meat sliced. I was immediately transported back to my favorite store in New York, Wegmans. They made the best chicken sausage and it was prepared fresh each morning. They were also available to slice or cut your meat if needed. I miss that level of service in my local stores. The entire store was just immaculate and I found my face turning green with ENVY! Ugghh! Here we go again! I just feel that every single store is always better than my neighborhood store. Ok, back to my stated purpose, I went in to get a snack and purchased two sour cream donuts. My local Publix does not carry them and most of their snacks are usually packaged so that you have to purchase in bulk. Those donuts were absolutely flawless, soft, perfectly glazed, no heavy, greasy after taste and just pure joy. I could have eaten two more easily! I am glad that I waited until I was already in the car before tasting otherwise, I might have run back inside!. Poor customer service. While in line behind 3 people, a caucasian lady over 50 came to the line stating she had to get some other stuff. The cashier took xtra time to pull up her order and cash out. No issues thus far. After my items had been entered, I noticed I had left my cards in the car. I went out to get them and when I waited for the next guest to be cashed out. While waiting, three other folks got in line. After the cashier cashed the last out, instead of pulling my order up like the lady before me, she just kept skipped me and kept working with the other folks. So I just went to the Kroger around the corner and saved a little for the same items I was going to pay this brand. If Service is the reason Publix wants more money for the same products, Publix stores needs to offer the same equal service to all guest read more

Very nice Publix with an expanded hispanic section near the produce area with some relatively hard to find or unusual ingredients like Ibarra chocolate, authentic Cajeta (dulce de leche) caramel sauce, mango puree etc as well as plenty of savory ingredients like specialty sauces and spices. This store is never terribly busy, so check out times are quick and there is a full service SunTrust bank in the store...very much appreciated as my office is about a quarter mile away and I often stop in at lunchtime. Speaking of lunchtime, this location also has a nice 'eat in' area with microwaves, cutlery, and probably 20 tables with its own dedicated register and even a separate entrance/ exit right near the deli, so you can stop in and pick up a fresh sandwich and eat onsite rather than in your car! Oh, one last note, for singles or smaller families, when Publix features an item on sale in the weekly specials as Buy 1, Get 1 free, you can buy a single for half price! Most other stores will not allow this, and it is one of my favorite things about Publix, as I don't necessary need two giant boxes at a time of Honey Nut Cheerios! read more

I usually go to the mini Publix because the parking lot is so easy to navigate and the store isn't packed with people (and I like saying mini Publix), but I went to this one recently because I was in the neighborhood and it really is pretty great. My favorite moment - I stopped to look at the Srawberry Cherries (never heard of these!) and one of the employees in the produce department stopped to refill the cherries while I was there. When I asked him if they were any good he opened up the package and handed me one to try. Obviously I never would have done this myself, but I appreciated that he'd done that. 4 stars for excellent service! read more

And with their new(ish) Buy One Get One Free and 10/$10 promotions, I've been saving mucho $$$. I've turned it into a game. FYI, you can look up Publix weekly ads on their website and create electronic/printable shopping lists from it. If you find yourself needing to pinch a few pennies, believe me, it's worth the effort. The pharmacists are nice, too, and the store's always clean. I usually shop here on my lunch break and stick stuff in my office building's fridge/freezer, because I like this Publix so much better than the one in my 'hood. read more

This location is very busy than most Publix I have been to (probably since it's on Pleasant Hill?) They have plenty of parking out front since there are other stores in the plaza. In the evenings, it's not lit very well so it becomes a dark parking lot; if I need to stop by this location, I consciously visit before it gets dark out. Inside is very large and spacious. Like most Publix, it presents a clean and open feel. While you shop, it feels like you're the only one there. When you arrive at the registers, however, you will see long lines. read more

When you travel you tend to find places that consistently provide (inject...service, food, lodging etc...) and once you find them you tend to go back to them. Years ago this shopping center was hopping, now years later there's not much left here except Publix and a handful of other stores........ do not let this deter you from stopping in. "Is that blood"??? I went in today to pick up a prescription at our local Pharmacy. This was during the lunch hour and lucky for me, they were not busy. I called in the morning to check on transferring my prescription to which I was assured, it would take about an hour or so since the pharmacist on duty was the only one there. I waited until noon to go in but to my dismay the prescription was not yet available. I stepped aside to let the next customer go as I waited. Once the pharmacist let me know that my prescription was ready, I stepped up to the register and there on the counter is where I spotted the drips of what looked like blood. "Is that blood?" I asked the pharmacist. "Uhh... I don't know..." she replied. Now I don't know about you but my immediate thought was, "OMG did i get it on myself??" which was followed by, "why didn't she just wipe it up??". I mean, there has to be some sort of healthcare violation code for this right?? I mean this IS the Pharmacy after all. I disappointed me that the pharmacist replied with a nonchalant "I don't know" as opposed to saying nothing at all and had taken a wipey, which is carried in their "home cleaning" aisle, and just cleaned it up. If even the pharmacist could care less about the cleanliness of the space she worked in where germs are innumerable what's to say the rest of the store has better ethics? read more

Clean store; parking lot was a bit troublesome to get through. The travel toiletries were not in the same aisle as their full-size counterpart so it took a while to find those.
