They have a growing selection of craft beer and little to none of the Major 3 beer distributors. Thank goodness! Ken (the manager) is a great and knowledgable person when it comes to beer. Every Wed from 5 to 7pm they have a weekly beer tasting. Only $5, for unlimited beer for those 2 hours. We love going there. It's become our weekly outing. Every Fri from 5 to 7pm, they have $10 wine tastings. Have not had a chance to go there yet. This was the first place we went to find beer within our first 3 days there. The WINE selections and prices here are great! They have unique wines from all over the world and this is where i bought my very first bottle of PROSECO a few years ago before it became popular and before I had ever heard about it. I also found SOFIA, a wonderful little "champagne" in a 6-oz. pink can that comes in a 4-pk. Wonderful for the boat rides and carry-on plane trips. This is hard to find locally. This place also has the greatest selection of craft beers in the area! I love discovering new beers at WINE WLORLD. I called the other night looking for a particular wine and they were so nice about going to look for it...and hold 2 bottles for me to come pick up next day. That's great service! I go here for my beer needs, they carry a pretty good craft beer selection, and liquor too. They usually have my scotch brands in stock, and I can find most of the wines I want too. If they don't have it, they'll work their best to get it for you. There's weekly tastings too. read more

I live in the neighborhood near this store's location, so it's quite convenient. Not a huge selection but they have the labels I like. Staff won't go out if their way to be super-nice, but by no means are they rude. Nice in a pinch but I go to Beach liquors when ever I have time. read more

Last night on 6 Dec shortly after 8pm I went into Wine World to find a particular brand of Cider that I liked. Upon walking into the store, the employee (older white male, balding, with glasses) never once opened his mouth to greet me or assist me in anyway. Shortly after I came in another woman walks in (older, white woman) and he greets her as soon as she walks into the store. Not only did he greet her, he asked her did she need any help finding anything in which she declined. All the while I'm still walking around the store looking lost not being able to find what I was looking for. He continued to make small talk with the lady as she shopped until she checked out and then he wished her a good evening. The store because super quiet again. Meanwhile, I'm still walking around lost. The employee then comes from behind the register into an aisle, walking past me and still did not speak or offer me any assistance in finding what I needed. Once I realized this employee was not going to speak to me or assist me in anyway I decided to leave because I was not going to spend my money where it was obvious that I was not welcomed. As I walked out the door to leave, the store was still quiet and the employee still didn't offer any type of salutations and the door just closed quietly behind me. I'm not not sure if these events transpired because I'm a black woman, but I've noted that Wine World or any of its chains will never see a cent from me and this employee needs some type of customer service training because customers come in many different colors and sizes and should all be treated equally. Especially since we're all spending our hard earned money at this establishment. read more

Not really sure what happened to this place...It's kind of like The Entourage of liquor stores now...you know..started off great, but then has steadily gone down hill...a year ago at this time it was the best place in Fort Walton Beach for Craft Beer, but they have ceded that Crown to Beach Liquors by far...they probably carry half the stock they did at this time last year and what they have now is unorganized..spread out haphazardly over the back half the store...fairly dirty(dusty) and in the cardinal sin they are selling a lot of beers long past their expiration date...they seldom have any of the rare releases anymore either, because the main store in Destin(which is well run) seems to keep all those out there for themselves...something about the store just seems "off" to....a lot of empty space with no product in it kind of gives it a weird warehouse type feel..kind of feel bad for the guys that work there, because I think they feel bad about the decline in the store, but know there is not much they can do about it with The Destin Store clearly being the focus of the Chan's Empire...Chan's is worth a stop if you are in a time crunch only ,because if not keep heading down the road for a couple more miles to Beach Liquors for a far better selection and store layout read more
