Look at ALL the bakery products INGREDIENTS; cookies, cakes etc. More than 50-60 ingredients!! I counted 70 or more ingredients in one of them! WHY?? Only the greewise mini muffins have a bit less. They stopped carrying GreenWise rotisserie chicken. They won't carry organic, why? O do t like buying meats from there anymore either. And prices are too high. read more

Very convenient, clean. This is a smaller "neighborhood market" type of store, so they have a smaller selection than the big ones, but they have all the things I need and it's usually easy to find. Deli is very busy; chicken is great! Their custom cakes are tastier than most other places. Prices are higher than competitors on many items, so shop around if you're buying a lot - BUT their BOGO deals are really good. Pretty quick if using self-checkout; if you buy a cart full, they have very few attended check-out lanes so it's slower - but much less crowded than bigger stores too. Pharmacy is very convenient; again, they don't stock everything but have most needed items. read more

Pretty standard Publix store (I speak from the experience of having visited a number of Publix stores between Tennessee and Florida.) This specific store is brightly lighted, reasonably wide aisles, fully stocked shelves (except for current items that have been held up due to warehouse or distribution issues - Ritz [Nabisco and Gatorade [Pepsi] ). Otherwise, the store is stocked with lots and lots of fresh veggies, fruit, and plenty of canned goods. Customer service is fine...helpful and friendly. This is not going to be some "I love Publix and if you don't you're wrong" post. Publix is a good supermarket. It's closer for me than Wally World, although for some items Walmart crushes Publix's prices. I can never find anything in Kroger. So, I do Publix. I want to speak to the deli. Specifically, chicken wings. We have often rotated BWW through the weekend takeout cycle. We pay a lot and get wings at BWW that make me wonder about the nourishment the chicken got before they separated it from its wings. When you open that box and just sigh...it's not a good feeling. Publix chicken tenders and wings are by far better than BWW. If you can catch them fresh, it's a bonus. If you have to order, it's 24 hours to call ahead, but 50 wings are pretty cheap. Would leave zero starts if possible. These a-holes routinely overcharge on produce. Price says something - register rings something else. Happens 8/10 times. When you point it out they show attitude. The customer service desk is a joke. Deli has zombies working behind the counter. Overall this crew is full of hot air and needless attitude. Buyers beware. Pay attention. Demand recheck on prices. I've been shopping at this Publix for a few years but recently I've noticed an increasing problem. More and more often, items on the shelves are expired. This past weekend I picked up four different items including a meat product that was past its expiration date. Needless to say, this is unacceptable. So I can only give the store a maximum of three stars at this time. read more

We do most of our shopping at the McKay's Mill location. The store is clean, the shelves are stocked, and I've always had excellent customer service. They added self check within the past year and it helps speed up checkouts. I'm happy to have a grocery store in the neighborhood and will continue supporting. read more

A bagging clerk came out into the hot parking lot today after patrons who had left their cloth shopping bags behind. He didn't have to do it but he did and that's the Publix difference. I don't know their secret but hats off to Management. Publix's customer service and product knowledge are excellent and in marked contrast to their competition: Whole Foods and Kroger, where my customer services experiences make me feel like I've been grudge shopping. My Publix is in McKay's Mill on Liberty Pike in Franklin, TN. I also shop at the Publix in Murfreesboro, TN. Both are excellent. Since moving to Franklin almost 3 years ago, I've shopped almost exclusively at Whole Foods, each visit over that time brought a wince out of me and squeaks, squalls, and death rattles from my wallet. Publix's organic produce offerings are still too skinny, so I supplement at Whole Foods. The straw that truly broke the camel's back that made me consider Publix for all my grocery needs were the multiple shoulder shrugs at Whole Foods over several items that were stocked, followed by nonchalance and then topped off with incompetent customer service. And frankly, the customer service just isn't at the same level as at Publix. But, no need to waste space on Whole Foods here. There's plenty of good stuff to say about Publix. read more

This Publix location has some customer service training needs. I had the worst customer service interaction I've ever had here. I grew up in Florida so Publix has always been "my grocery store". The reason people pay a little more to shop here is because of the customer service in my opinion. Unfortunately, this location could change my mind. After having several items ring up incorrectly. Then re-rung incorrectly. Calling, coming back for the correction and being spoken to incredibly rudely, I was ultimately given a gift card for their mistake rather than the refund I requested. Sad to see such a great corporation dropping the ball. read more

This Publix is my go-to .. never had any issues with them or their service... I'm a regular here ! I love them so much. They are great and even this morning I broke down at my neighborhood entrance and it's right by publix so I called up there and one of the managers came and jumpstarted me! Publix is one of the best grocery store chains in general as far as customer service, cleanliness, and quality. I normally wouldn't Yelp about every grocery store I go to, but I feel the need to if one exceeds or fails. This particular Publix is located in the McKays Mill neighborhood of Franklin and is just 2-3 miles from my house although I don't live in that neighborhood. I've never been so impressed by a group of employees of a grocery store as I have at this place. I've been shopping here for close to three years now, and I love this place. Most of the employees have been here the entire time I've lived here. Very little turnover of employees. I know several by name and talk to them on a regular basis. Every employee you pass by asks you how you're doing and if you're finding everything OK. They will walk you to something you can't find as opposed to just telling or pointing. This location is smaller, but typically has everything I need. And it's never very crowded, unless there is a threat of a snowflake, or it's the day before Thanksgiving/Christmas. In those cases, you're part of the problem! This location is also located next to the wonderful Franklin Wine and Spirits, and on the weekends, I walk next door and do their free wine tastings! read more

This is my neighborhood Publix and I absolutely love it. The size is a bit smaller than your average Publix but the customer service and friendly atmosphere make this my first choice. I have lived in the neighborhood for 6 years and I am pretty sure that at least half of the employees are still there - how's that for positive work environment? The store manager at this location is definitely doing things right. This place is definitely worth a short detour if you don't live in McKay's Mill. read more

This publix has the worst produce action of any grocery store. First the selection is very limited and secondly the the old men who work in that section are just plain rude. It's getting to the point that I just drive out of the way to go to the nearby kroger. At least their produce section is big enough to have stuff stocked. read more

I am impressed with the deli and produced sections at this unpretentious suburban grocery store. The deli offers Boars Head meat and cheese products, including prosciutto. I ordered some on my most recent trip, looking forward to some prosciutto-wrapped cantalope. Adorably, I think they forgot to put plastic sheets between the slices, or didn't know to do so, so I had kind of a "prosciutto patty" to work with -- still delicious but a little awkward to eat. Note to self (and others) for next time, just remind the butcher to use plastic sheets between your prosciutto slices. read more
