I had to transfer several prescriptions from my compounding pharmacy in Virginia and they took care of everything! They even made my compounds better by dosing them differently which meant less cost to me (as insurance doesn't cover them) and less to apply (they are skin creams). Whoot whoot! However, I don't go here for the bad service or crying children, no I go here for the wide range of items, the lowest price and aisles and aisles of merchandise. The pros are always the same for any Wal-Mart, good prices and the large quantity of items. This one is lucky to have a grocery section which makes it more unique however most Wal-Marts have this now. The cons are again all the same. Poor service, which I can't blame due to the horrible way Wal-Mart treats it's employees. Then there's the people of Walmart, I mean there's a website dedicated to the many characters that frequent this place. If you are self sufficient and can keep your eyes from wandering from person to person (unless you enjoy people watching like myself) then you can overcome these downfalls.

I had to have jaw surgery and my husband went to pick up my prescriptions two days before, which was a Saturday and they are closed on Sunday. The liquid anti-biotic prescribed had to be kept refrigerated and he wasn't told about it, so it got left out went bad (I do admit I should have checked the bag). However, I have also always been told by other pharmacies. I did call on Sunday and there was a number to leave a message for urgent matters, which I did. I figured at the latest I would get a text or call Monday. They never followed up. I would not care too much if it was not something major, but surgery is pretty important. I am not trying to be cruel or hurt their business, but I hope they see this and change how they handle certain things, because it was very badly done, and the last thing I want to worry about right now is chasing down medicine I need that I should have had.

I typically drop by here for emergency food needs (if I forgot my lunch-on-the-go or needed to get something for a group, like candy or chocolate). The hours are really pretty long here, so I opt to go here when other places aren't open yet. There's a pharmacy in the back, and I think they do flu shots at this location. Don't be fooled by the small storefront; the store extends within down the length of the building, and you'll get all the amenities of a normal CVS, from different health and beauty supplies to the pharmacists on call. I do think, as with any convenient store like CVS or Walgreens, you pay slightly more than a big box store. However, there are very few stores like this within walking distance, so the price is justified by its location. Pretty standard store, but the staff have always been polite and the aisles well stocked.

Ever since they…read moreinstalled the self check-in screens at the counter (on which everyone in line behind you can read your full name and date of birth), and have only one cashier "helping" two people at the same time (multitasking does not work -- It is proven), service has been nearly nonexistent, the pharmacist doesn't feel the need to even address you. It is impersonal; but what is worse is that it is incredibly more delayed than it was before. The multitasking is not saving anybody any time . This was a horrible change to make, and I hope they aren't thinking of doing this at their other locations.
