I love to support local and they are usually very fast to fill scripts. Unfortunately, after my…read morelast experience we will never use them again. I had to have jaw surgery and my husband went to pick up my prescriptions two days before, which was a Saturday and they are closed on Sunday. The liquid anti-biotic prescribed had to be kept refrigerated and he wasn't told about it, so it got left out went bad (I do admit I should have checked the bag). However, I have also always been told by other pharmacies. I did call on Sunday and there was a number to leave a message for urgent matters, which I did. I figured at the latest I would get a text or call Monday. They never followed up. I would not care too much if it was not something major, but surgery is pretty important. I am not trying to be cruel or hurt their business, but I hope they see this and change how they handle certain things, because it was very badly done, and the last thing I want to worry about right now is chasing down medicine I need that I should have had.

I appreciate the convenience of this Walgreens location as a downtown resident; it's nice to have…read moreone within walking distance. However, the spotty customer service makes me hesitate to recommend it at all. I've been here numerous times and experienced really rude and unprofessional service (e.g. I've personally been and seen others be judged and berated at the photo counter when picking up items "late" i.e. within a week or less of placing the order). Sometimes customer service has been nice or fine, though (e.g. one time the photo department called me when they found my photo order, which I appreciated - since when I went to pick it up the first time, they didn't find it). I return here for the location only, but I wish for a more consistently cordial (if not friendly) and efficient experience.

The Downtown Nashville Walgreens…read more In my estimation, this is the one and only Walgreens in Downtown Nashville that is accessible to Broadway. Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." My "Real Time Yelp First-hand Feature" elucidates that the Downtown Nashville Walgreens deserves Three Stars.

I use to be a Kroger / Walgreens type of customer believing they were the elite along with CVS and even Hollands. I rarely spoke with any pharmacy tech or pharmacist while filling prescriptions at these locations and always seemed to be an ID number instead of a customer. Not to mention the wait time is horrendous up to an hour or more. Now this isn't bad if you're feeling fine and need to do some grocery shopping while on a routine medication refill, but factor in if you feel terrible and all you want to do is go home and sleep off whatever sickness you have. Shopping for an hour then becomes awful and times that by ten if you're in a drugstore looking at overpriced odds and ends. To add to major chain pharmacies, I've was only ever met with rude, snobby and compassionless people. They really don't care what you're filling (unless it's a narcotic then you become a drug seeker) they want you out and sigh when you tell them you'll wait in the store. Enter Target Pharmacy stage right and only speaking for Spring Hill, TN; WOW! Each Pharmacist is fast and courteous and seem to enjoy waiting on you. But no need to wait long (less than 10 minutes most times) because it seems like I drive from the Doctor's office to Target and my medication is there ready to be picked up (Driving a half mile from my Doctor). If you can receive text messages then you get auto refill messages, messages when a prescription was received and ready to be picked up, and finally the 5% off purchases just by becoming a member and filling prescriptions. Personally I would rather wait an hour at Target than in a grocery store any day. I've asked why they are so fast and the answer I get is a better computer system and more organized. Pros: Fast Polite Efficient Compassionate Cons: None Do yourself a favor, switch pharmacies and enjoy fast service and pharmacists that know you by name rather than an ID number.
