First off, plenty of parking. Bonus. When you walk into the store, everything smells clean and fresh. The grocery section is well organized. The produce section is overflowing with fresh veggies that are well-priced. You can find most everything you are looking for at a grocery store. In the back of the store, they have a deli and a little taco shop. There are tables and chairs, so you can eat there or take your food to go. My husband got two Quesabirria Tacos and a side of rice and beans. I ordered three street-style tacos: Carnitas, Barbaco and Pescado, which was grilled. I also ordered a side of plantains. Throw in a bottle of water and the total bill was $31. There was so much food that I had to take the rice and beans, 2 tacos and my plantains home. I just could not eat any more! They have housemade salsa that they sell in pint containers. The Salsa Verde was so delicious that I have been putting it on all my food this past week. It's spicy but not overpowering. I'm going back just to get more of that salsa! Reading the comments from the Instragram post, people told the IG poster not to give away locals' secrets. This definitely is a hidden gem!

I would like a bit more selection of pre-packaged/bulk meats on the shelves as the lines for the meat counter along with the line for the cocina can become overwhelming. While the store is packed with goods, this is a great thing, but also makes it hard to maneuver as the aisles and spaces are pretty small. A lot of "excuse me", "my bad" while shopping. Speaking of the cocina...in the back of the store you will find a small counter where they are slinging the freshest tacos, quesadillas, birria, nachos, tamales and more! While I may not pick up groceries on each visit, I do always make sure to pick up a taco or three to go! If you want to eat in, they do have a few tables as well. Service is always friendly and they are staffed well, notably for the busier times...which is more times than not, especially on the weekends! Condition of the store is decent. This store is a larger footprint, and features a separate and dedicated entrance for the pharmacy/little clinic. The store is well laid out, well kept and clean. Shelves were stocked and easy to navigate. Service was friendly at the register and on the floor. They do have a gas station, however it is oddly located across Main Street where the old Kroger used to be. Overall, if I was closer to Hendersonville, this would definitely be my go-to Kroger location!

While I do majority of my shopping at the nearby Kroger, this Publix is always our go-to for those delectable pub subs! With that being said, I have shopped around the store when a sub is not the only thing I am after. The store is always well stocked, clean and staffed well. Conditionally, the store is showing its age in places, so a refresh would not hurt. Service is always stellar here from the registers to the deli counter and even the cart attendants! I usually get spoken to by majority of folks I encounter. Overall, this Publix location always treats us well and will remain our go-to in time of need!

I do not normally shop here as my go-to Kroger is in Goodlettsville, but when I make my weekend Costco runs, popping into this location is a solid experience. Love the layout, shelves are always stocked and aisles clear. Can usually find what I am looking for without issue. My only concern with products I have picked up here would be the freshness of the fruits/veggies. My latest trip I picked up oranges and cucumber, and had to plan to use them on the next evenings dinner. When I went to use one of the oranges was moldy and the cucumber had started to become soft. I don't expect fruits and veggies to last for weeks, but I do expect a good 24 hours. Service is okay here. They have a healthy amount of self-check, but I have found the self-check cashiers are not super attentive and tend to get caught in conversation with each other. When the lines are not wild, I prefer to go through a standard check out lane. Service is always a bit better there. Overall, decent Kroger. Not my go-to, but that is mainly due to location. Solid 3.5 stars, so I will toss up to 4 for them.

Several times I've purchased the day old rotisserie chicken that is marked at about 1/2 price. I get home, and they've rung it up at full price. Today, I purposely put the two marked down items at the very end of the check out belt with the marked down stickers clearly showing When I mentiond that the chicken didn't ring up right, she said it wasn't marked. I know it positively was marked. She asked the bagger (a manager) to look...he quoted the full price. So, either the cashier (an older lady) removed it, or the manager went along with her and removed it, but it definitely disappeared in just a few seconds. I have been shopping Kroger less and less lately. The aggravation is not worth it.

However, one employee only allowed me to purchase 2 items, even though there were no other customers waiting and plenty of product available. I understand limits are sometimes needed, but the situation felt unnecessary since the store had a large supply and the limit was already in place. The employee could have handled the situation in a more customer-friendly way. Hopefully, future visits will be a better experience because the store had a great selection of products available.

While I remain a Kroger loyalist, I do enjoy popping into Sprouts for a few specialty items, mainly their fresh breads, pastries and cheeses...and a few great frozen items. Speaking of, their selection of frozen fruits is second to none! This new location has all the stuff you are accustomed to at Sprouts. Name brands, house brands, local brands and a few in between. This location is well laid out, staffed well and clean. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Cashiers were great, floor staff was helpful and the counter staff was friendly. If you are not familiar with Sprouts, don't let the "Farmers Market" part trick you...pricing at Sprouts is a bit more than you would think. It's a middle ground between Kroger and Whole Foods from a price perspective, and a combination of Trader Joe's and Whole Foods from a product point. Overall, great to have Sprouts in the area!
