It's a very busy Publix everybody likes it. The food is fresh and the staff is very helpful. Very kind. And they go out of their way and above and beyond to help I've been there three times so far I have had a great experience. I feel safe and I enjoy the specials . The cashiers are excellent they remember you and they're fast , the lady in the seafood department is so professional and kind. She knows a lot and shared a coffee with me , the butcher is great and helpful , the ladies at the Deli are fast and keep the deli clean the guys stock the shelves know where everything is and are helpful and friendly ,the shopping cart guys and the bag boys are so kind and helpful. The manager is professional The male and female managers are good team leaders because their staff is happy friendly, which is a reflection on the Manager .I wish I could remember the names of everyone that helped me, but Fatima went above and beyond to make me comfortable while I waited for my car to come pick me up. Another time ,A beautiful young black lady maybe she was a manager helped me during the first storm of the season. I believe it was June 1 it was thunderstorm, when one of my grocery bags ,the one with the fresh shrimp and spinach, disappeared somewhere between paying for it and going outside looking waiting for my ride , there was a lot of customers huddled up outside in front of the door due to the storm. When I got in the car, I realized I was missing a grocery bag , the one with the main course of that evening's dinner ,lol so I I asked my RIDE to turn around. We weren't more than a block away, and I went back in the store with the receipt . This very beautiful young black lady must've been a manager too, patiently listened to me because I was distressed and helped calm me down. She went above and beyond to rectify the situation and return to me what was missing. I am very grateful to that Queen . Another time when I was the last customer and it was night time, I was waiting for my ride , a polite young man, that was pushing in the shopping carts insisted on staying with me so I wouldn't be alone outside and then helped me load my groceries into the Lyft ride. So I finally had my Publix experience in Florida: I got a pub sub and it rocked my world! The sandwich artist, Anthony, was the best I have ever met! So much passion!  He made the best sandwich ever and spent 20 minutes making my sandwiches with so much love!  He walked over to the fresh produce section to pick out fresh avocados for our sandwiches.  He also got the freshest bread ever.  All of the veggie toppings were bursting with flavor and didn't taste like plastic or air.  They were just so dang flavorful!  When I told him that I thought this sandwich was fantastic, he responded with, "that is just the Publix standard."  He was probably thinking, calm down, lady!   I was so happy that my friend Kinal suggested this place - I will miss it soooo much in California.  Bummed we don't have Publix there!  But I am going to max out on these while I'm still here! read more

I would give this Publix a 3.5 rating because of the first problem you run into the PARKING. parking is horrible at this location. The park lot doesn't offer enough parking. When the church preschool next door is closed you can park in their lot. The layout of the store is also a problem. When you walk through the doors, you may run into the customer service line. The deli and bakery is another crowded area. They have these stands of bakery items in the middle of the walkway, making it difficult to walk through with the people and these stands. The good thing about this store is that they are always fully stocked with items. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The older baggers are always willing to help you to your car. read more

I come to this unit very often. I had the most horrifying experience today.I was with my daughter and use the self checkout . It was four customers checking out . A Publix employee standing there in the middle . it was a gentleman before me which had over 30 items or more. We had 10 . My daughter started and didn't see the hand scanner to scan the 24 case of water before we can finish she ran over saying did you pay for the water. My daughter looked at me and said we not finished I told the employee were not done yet. I don't like to feel this way and I didn't realize what was happening into she didn't say anything to the guy with a whole shopping chart. Being racially profiled in front of my child. Back when I lived in Hialeah around 3 years ago, this was the Publix nearest my house and one of the two Publix I most frequented (although I preferred the Publix Sabor on E 2nd Ave). I had been going to this Publix location for many years. Sometimes I had good experiences, sometimes bad. One thing is that this is a smaller Publix, so it doesn't have the variety of much larger Publix especial when compared to Sabor. I found myself in here because I was in the area and needed to buy flowers and water as I was going to the cemetery in which I have family members buried in. When I come to this publix it's because I'm near by and need something quickly. This publix location has a major issue with the parking. There usually isn't any available and when there is, people are trying to squeeze their way into one before someone else. The parking spots are narrow and it's hard to get out of them as well. The selection at publix is great but I would suggest that you check everything you buy. I saw some strawberries that had gone bad still up for sale. So please double check before you purchase your items. (This has only happened to me today.) I do like that they have a good amount selection of cakes. They have a nice little flower section with reasonable prices and they always have rotisserie chicken available for pick up! read more

Every time I come to this publix I always have an issue with expiration dates. I went to buy some yogurt yesterday and couldn't buy any due to them being all expired. All these yogurts (picture attached) were expired over a week. I ended up not being able to buy any because they were all expired. We told an employee and they didn't even apologize. ALWAYS check the dates when buying food from here, this is not the first incident. read more

I'm going to have to give my beloved Publix a bad review. I came in this morning to get my Essentia water because it's on sale this week and was able to get it. Yay! However since it's cold outside I wanted to get some soup and Publix had a good turkey sausage and Kale soup. Yum! I went to the deli section to get it in the cold cup because it's for lunch anyway so it doesn't matter if it's cold or hot because I'll have to hear it up anyway. They didn't have any. No big deal. Asked what the hot soups were going to be and when were they bringing them out. Not only couldn't she tell me what the soups were going to be but she then informed me that they weren't coming out until about 9. I asked the cashier who them asked the manager and she simply just said "let me ask". No willingness to accommodate. However even she said that they should be out which they should be as Publix knows they have their faithful early birds who 10 times out of 10 are coming in for their lunch and/or their kids lunch. Not to mention, it's cold out soup should be ready sooner than 9am. read more

This publix is terrible! Not only is it ALWAYS packed but you can never find any parking whatsoever and when you do manage to find parking you are busy fighting over the space with someone else. The customer service at this location is also terrible. This place should be called Little Spanish town because No one here speaks any English at all. I asked one of the ladies working in the seafood department/sushi area where I could find Gari (pickled sushi ginger), she looked at me confused and said "Que? No lo sé mami" WOW Then The sushi in this publix is also a hit or miss. Some days it's fresh and other times it's food poisoning waiting to happen. I came here and bought some sushi and then came back the next day for some more and they had the same 'Spicy tuna roll' from yesterday still sitting there and you could tell it was old because the Tuna inside of the roll was starting to change colors. Are you trying to make people sick? The biggest problem is that the employees are too busy gossiping and talking with one another that you don't even exist to them. The only reason I still occasionally shop at this publix is because of how close it is to my house but other than that this place is a mess! read more

This publix is not that bad! It has everything you need the cashiers have gotten a lot faster than before. However what is really bad in her is the customer service section! Is always busy and they only have 2 people working here. The line is way to slow. If you have to return something you are better off going somewhere else, unless you are willing to wait for at least 30 minutes or much more to get it done. read more

This Publix is always packed and everything just seems so stressful when it comes to grocery shopping here. I only go to this location, because it's near my work, otherwise I think I would drive the extra mile or two to another store if I lived in the area. I went there today for a sandwich, simple enough right? NOT. I was in the store for no longer than 5 minutes when two customers in front of me began to argue with the women behind the counter. The customers were so mean and rude to these women that both of the women were on the verge of tears. It didn't feel good to see people behaving that way over sandwiches. It's really not that serious. I believe in treating others with respect, and there is nothing wrong with complaining about a service, however the delivery of the consumers there is ALL wrong. I walked in before 10:30 to get deli meat from the Deli and I asked if I could get sliced ham and cheese the guy who was on duty closing on August 21st, 2018 told me that the deli was closed. Then I asked when did it usually close he then said when the store closed. But he was already cleaning. Seriously???? So you're going to deny a client a high end deli meat and make her buy a cheaper brand because you are cleaning before the store closes so you can go home a little earlier?????? Actually this review is for the NEW PHARMACY at this location. I don't have prescription insurance and it so happens that Publix accepts GoodRx. Thought I'd give them a try but it ended up being a big mistake for several reasons. First they only have 1 employee working there at a time and that's the actual pharmacist therefore they take care of everything drop offs, pick ups and phone calls. When they go to lunch the pharmacy is essentially closed for one hr because of this reason and there's a long line of people that waited when they come back. Secondly they may not have stocked what you need because its small/limited therefore they must order it. In my case I had 2 prescriptions and one they ordered the wrong medication therefore I had to wait an additional 2 days. If these don't improve not worth the hassle and going elsewhere. read more

My mother, sister and I were in the area since I had just dropped off my vehicle for body work, near Brownsville, which isn't too far away from Hialeah. We were about to head off to the cemetery for Valentine's Day and wanted to bring dad flowers. The parking at this Publix was a bit problematic, as the spots are narrow and tight. The aisle is barely wide enough for a car to back out without backing out into the building that houses the Publix. Their plant and freshly cut flower inventory is pretty decent, much better than in other Publix locations. We got a lovely, large, colorful Valentine's bouquet with assorted colorful flowers, and were out the door pretty quickly. The lines were not long, there were lots of registers open, and the cashier was friendly. Before grabbing the flowers, we used the restroom. Now I am not sure how often they check the bathrooms, but one of the stalls was locked though no one was in there, and the other stall had no toilet paper. While using the bathroom is always an issue when it comes to the female gender (check out the restroom lines for men in comparison to women's, and you'll see what I mean), when only one toilet can be used because the other one has no toilet paper, it compounds the problem. Whoever is in charge of janitorial duties needs to step it up! To wrap up my review, I do have to chuckle at the people complaining in their reviews about the fact that the person helping them spoke in Spanish. There are literally hundreds, maybe even thousands, of Publix locations throughout Miami...you pick the one in a community where over 92% of the population speaks Spanish because 74% of it is Cuban, and then get upset about it? It's as if I go into Chinatown and complain that people around me spoke in Chinese. Sorry, but what do you expect? I am willing to bet that if you had spoken to the person in English or told him/her you don't speak Spanish, the employee would have responded in English. In addition, it is understood that in a place where the majority of the people are Spanish-speakers, you will be assumed to be a part of that community as well and spoken to in the language that they think you feel more comfortable and fluent in, unless you speak up. read more

This is the worst Publix I ever went to! I ask the baker can she bake a custom wedding cake and I showed her a picture! She said no very rudely and walked off! I went to look in the cake book and I noticed there wasn't any wedding cakes! Nothing but bland and kiddie cakes! The other bakery employee was helping a customer and she heard what I said! I love Publix. This specific location not so much. Most of the emoloyees are friendly which is why it got 3 stars and ofpod coarse the bogo deals but that comes from corporate. The parking here is always a mission!! Any time of the day anyday you will have a problem parking here... Then the wait at the deli another 20 minute wait... So a grocery spree that would usually be 20 minutes may take an hour just from parking and deli wait, oh and also checkout line wait. read more

Publix is Publix obviously they have some of the best subs you can buy if it's on special and if the food is fresh but I have gotten the subs really bad sometimes but when they're good they're better than any other place like seriously for six or seven dollars you can't get a sandwich with this quality anywhere but sometimes it's not consistent is specifically the Italian it's very greasy sometimes or very fattening also the customer service could definitely get an overhaul I think that the workers are overworked so you can see it comes out so some of them are really nasty or they don't really want to help you either take a long time when you're in the deli. Also there's very questionable people that walk into this Publix one time I accidentally bumped into someone and they slap me and I called corporate and they didn't do nothing about it. I come to this publix all the time never had a problem until today while I was getting my baby milk and other supplies for wic . I couldn't get something so while I kept taking items off from the baby food the young lady kept telling me to swap my card so after the fourth time she looks at the receipt along with a young man I guess he is the supervisor they takes off 2 items so when it was time to pay the card wouldn't go through so she told me to try again card said not authorized I knew I have funds on there so they called the manger I guess she tells me to pay 150 for all my items and when I get in touch with wic .... first of all lady it's your employee fault how there you tell me something like that there wasn't a apology or anything .. while walking out i here the lady saying I know costumers always right but..... she pause when she saw me that's just crazy I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE !!!! read more

today me and my aunt bought five publix wraps because we thought it was a beautiful day to eat some. i went to go pick them up (as i usually do) and went back to my house. when we started eating, my aunt notices that we got four wraps instead of five. so i had to go back, and deal with the situation. when i tell the lady who usually gives me the wraps, she claims that she gave me the five wraps, when in reality she gave me four. me as a civilized person, corrected her once more and with such a disgusting and unnecessary attitude, she told me to leave the store (when the store ain't even hers) like if i was gonna steal something. after her vulgar self told me to leave the store, i went directly to my aunt to fix the situation and we went back to the publix. we saw the manager and we explained the situation. the manager was very nice and polite and told the sub employee (who was working at the time) about our situation with the wraps. the sub employee asked us for the name and we said the name of the order. then, the rude, vulgar lady came to the sub place (first of all no one even asked her for her assistant) and and opened her vulgar, unnecessary mouth and said with such a disgusting attitude "what's the problem". the manager told this lady about our situation and she said with such a loud disgusting tone "i give him the five wraps already" and my aunt stoped her and gave and my aunt gave an attitude back with the evidence that we did order the five wraps and we received four. after that, the rude lady gave us the fifth wrap(which in fact she literally it this whole entire time) and we literally had to argue with her to get the wrap. when we came back to the house, we check to see if it had the name of my aunt (which it did) and the funny thing is that apparently the rude lady wanted it herself because the wrap didn't even had the ingredients that the receipt on the wrap had. never buying wraps in this publix no more that's for sure. very bad experience. read more

This Publix can't make a correct sub for it's life! I have ordered many subs here (I must be a glutton for punishment) and 80% of the time they are wrong. They don't heat the Reuben's or toast the bread. Today's ordeal is that they gave me spicy mustard instead of honey mustard! read more
