I like this Publix! Although it has dedicated free parking in the parking garage across the street, to the south of it, pro tip - you can almost always find a spot on the small-ish lot on the north side of the store. I've frequented this store a lot pre-C-19, when my sorority sisters got together every Wednesday around the corner, in 5 Points, for a meal and to "solve the world's problems." I always counted on this Publix to pick up something I forgot or was told we needed to complete our dinner. Items like a greeting card, a gift card or helium balloon, a bottle of vino, cheese, cupcakes, or salad mix and dressing. The associates are always friendly and helpful here, but isn't it like that at all Publix stores? I've never found the checkout lines to be too long. Why no 5th star? This is really not this Publix's fault: overall this store has a small footprint and that means a decrease in selection, or "a tightly edited selection" of produce, wine, dairy, and meats. This is not the best Publix I've ever been to, nor is it my usual haunt (that's Aldi). With that said, I give this Publix some kudos for maximizing every square inch of what is--for a Publix--a TINY store. It's clean, the staff are nice (is someone really giving them one star because OMG they don't have a particular brand of sugar free cream soda like that is their fault?!), the produce is better than some I've seen, and the parking is free. Bonus: I've found their flowers/plants to be in better shape than other stores' wares. read more

3 TRIPS TO PUBLIX SO FAR: 1st. Bought some expensive exported cheese with an expired 'best by' date (a minus). 2nd. Found Cashew Butter and Almond butter without additives (a plus). 3rd. Went go get Ginger Beer and only found those with preservatives and without real Ginger (a minus). Overall: Compared to Trader Joes and Sprouts where I am from pretty pi** poor. Relative to all the stores that only sold Golden Flake potato chips 30 years ago when I lived here, better than average store in the area. I'd say that in Alabama the bar is still set pretty low. Sorry, but for the money they charge here I can't give them more than 2-3 stars based on my 3 trips there. Since the service is so nice I'll yield to 3, but just barely. Lots of high quality goods and groceries, stocked shelves, and friendly cashiers and clerks. No complaints whatsoever.

I always get a sub when I go to Publix! They have the best, freshest ingredients! Today my girl made the version of my sub to date! She made sure to get my ranch and honey mustard on both sides of the bread and peppered it to perfection! Just had to give a shout out! This review is for the Publix pharmacy. Big shout out to all of you and your staff for the amazing work you do. Twice I've had a nearby pharmacy that could not fill my prescription and we're just downright rude and mean when I ask them questions. Getting tired of this I transferred everything over to this pharmacy. I know now that no matter what I bring in you will fill it for me quickly or offer me an option. Your staff are courteous and kind and always go out of your way to make me feel comfortable when I'm under the weather. Big thanks for all you do. read more

This Publix near the Hospital is small, not a lot of people go here so your in and out. Super friendly Employee's from the Meat n Seafood Dept as well as the Cashier. I do like the fact it's clean and your in and out and not crowded. I don't like that you have to park in a garage across the street but it is free. read more

Went in today at around 13:30 hours to grab a sandwich. There was one lady making sandwiches and about seven other deli employees milling about... I wait, and wait, and wait for one to come forward and take my order. Finally a lady comes up and I tell her what I want. She askes what kind of bread I want and I said wheat to which she responds "we don't have wheat." Would it not have been easier for her to tell me what type of bread she had instead of having me play 'stump the chump?' I knew right there and then that I should leave but I was hungry. I asked for a falafel sandwich and she commences on making the sandwich, pulling out three falafel balls and cutting them up and covering them up with an onion skin thick piece of cheese. As I watched, the falafel balls seemed to disintegrate, as they appeared super dry... So she continues with the sandwich and starts asking her coworkers what goes on it? Finally, after standing around for almost fifteen minutes waiting, I just asked her to put lettuce, onions, and tomatoes on it with some pepper. Simple right? Anyway the lady finishes making the sandwich attempts to roll it up and shove it in a bag, all the while the dried falafel pieces are falling out. I grabbed my sandwich, paid and relayed my experience to a Manager who was standing in the cashier area. I grew up around Publix being from South Florida and I cannot remember ever seeing such a sophomoric display of ineptitude. The good; place is clean and most of the time service is timely. Maybe it was an off day because of, you guessed it COVID. Just keeps on getting crappier... Bottom Line: It isn't the end of the world but a little attention to detail and pride in your work, what ever that maybe, would have gone a long way. read more

This it's just about the most modern Publix I have seen. it is really fancy and really nice. across the street there's a private garage you can park your car in the shade unbelievable and it is free! read more

I usually love publix but I will never go back to this location. I asked the lady working at the deli for some turkey and she told me it was already pre made and I told her that I would rather her cut it cause I wanted it thin cut. She gave me the worst attitude about it and then when I got home and opened the turkey she had cut it very thick and I only had about 4 slices of turkey, I mean since I'm paying for it I should have gotten what I asked for. read more

During road closures and being forced to spend the night at the hospital as a healthcare worker for Huntsville hospital, I felt immediate relief to see Publix's doors to be open. Unfortunately, I inconvenienced them by my presence. I only needed emergent supplies that were not supplied to me by my workplace. I only needed dinner, socks, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Fellow healthcare workers were scattered and trying to scurry for things. only to find the manager holding his hands up and yelled we are closing in 10 minutes. Background: we called and were notified that they were closing at 10p.m. some other nurses were locked out of the building at 7:50p.m. I understand they were needing to leave, but the disrespect is not tolerated. On top of that the deli worker/manager was using profanities towards us. read more

Meats, veggies, and eggs... oh my! Publix has all the groceries that you can think of. They even have an aisle dedicated to international cuisine for those days you feel like spicing things up. I felt like a kid in a candy store, except replace 'kid' with 'adult' and 'candy' with 'food'! The staff greets you with a warm and friendly smile. The staff here is SUPER friendly. This is not a full sized Publix, so don't go looking for that specialty Thai seasoning, but otherwise your fine 99% of the time. That said, the floor plan is unlike any other Publix I've been to and sometimes I get lost... so don't be afraid to ask for assistance, because again... the staff is SUPER friendly. read more

Deli manager very rude. I ordered a gluten free wrap, which they do offer. It isn't my fault that the gluten free wraps don't wrap up well because they aren't as stretchy. But this was fine with me. The last time I got it, the nice deli lady told me that they don't wrap well and she folded it more like a taco. Also, she gave me two small ones instead of one because those wraps are smaller. This time, the manager tells me, "I'll do it this time, but we're aren't supposed to." She had an attitude. All I was doing was ordering what I had last time because it was delicious. Then they were out of chicken and had to cook some more. She tells me about 6 minutes (again with attitude). I stood there for 6 minutes and then they say another 5 minutes. So I left since I already was made to feel bad simply for ordering what is enjoyed before. Won't go back. read more

I would give Publix Twickenham Square 5 stars for convenience, short lines and great selection. But I cannot because they do not refrigerate their salami and pepperoni. They are just hanging out on a rack of MEAT at room temperature. I would routinely buy these products if they were refrigerated like in every store I've ever seen them in, ever. I asked the manager about it and he said "well, they come in a refrigerated truck..." EXACTLY my point. If they fix this bewildering little nugget I'll give them 5 stars. read more

Small, urban Publix unlike any I've been in before. So friendly and helpful with good sales and choices.

Right next to my work. So this place is super convenient for me to stop at before going home. The store is small. The organization is okay. If you are looking for a wide variety of items, you might want to try a larger publix at a separate location. The homemade breads are excellent from the bakery. Service is exceptional. Whenever I have trouble finding something, the staff is quick to help. I would recommend this store. read more
