We love this supermarket. There are at least 9 grocery stores we could shop at within 20 mins but this is our go-to. Everything is so fresh I want to wash its mouth out with soap lol. Seriously, very fresh. And everyone is so fish darn friendly, courteous, and helpful. It is such a joy to shop here. We especially give kudos to the bakery, wine section, sushi, and meat departments. read more

Publix is convenient if you live in Indian Land, and that's about where my recommendation ends. Also, the cookie club for kids is nice. The produce is a joke, especially the organics. They refrigerate a lot of the organic stuff at what I assume is an attempt to make it last longer. Who wants already refrigerated apples or nectarines? Not me. Want already moldy strawberries at a premium price? Head to Publix! The organic clam shells of greens like spinach are always so close to expiring that I can't buy them and use them before they go bad. Same with yogurt, it's often either already expired or about to. The Greenwise organic whole milk is a good price and I'd like to buy more of it, but so often they only have 1 or 2 gallons stocked. I won't stop gping here because it is so easy to run to versus fighting traffic up Johnston especially at peak times. But I avoid buying produce and meat here unless absolutely necessary and only come here for supplemental shopping trips or small purchases when convenient. read more

Waited for the grand opening euphoria to die down before I checked out the shiny new Publix in Indian Land. We've been to other Publix in Florida and have always had positive experiences so I was curious to see how the new one would be. Positives: 1. Giant store with excellent produce, seafood and wine department - large variety of organic options and very airy (even with a full store it seems spacious). 2. Great prepared foods selection - stir fry bar, deli counter, salad bar, big bakery, and daily cooking demonstrations, just to name a few. Highly recommend the mojo-marinated rotisserie chicken! 3. Excellent customer service - above and beyond the usual. At one point I simply couldn't find a couple of things so I asked one of the army of service people that were roaming around. This gentleman literally walked me around the store to show me each thing I was looking for and special ordered one thing for me that they weren't stocking yet. They actually walk you to your car even if you want to carry your own groceries (a little odd but still. . .) 4. Unique products - the granola bark is addictive and many others have their "Publix fave." Negatives: 1. Unusual store layout - while the produce on the right, meat along the back and dairy along the left is still the same, Publix tends to mix in "stations" throughout. Also, the wine is in the back of the store which is not handy. 2. Prices - while Publix doesn't compete on price and clearly is competing with Harris Teeter, Fresh Market and Whole Foods and not with Wal-Mart or Aldi, it would be nice if their prices were more competitive because then they would be the clear winner in the Charlotte Grocery wars. Overall Publix is a great addition to what is becoming a really good food and grocery scene in Charlotte. read more

My new favorite grocery store everyone's always very helpful and polite always willing to assist

Ok, so here I go on a Sunday morning around 10:30 figuring I would avoid the initial hoopla of the newest grocery store in the area. I thought about the old Starbucks mantra which states that they wanted a "Starbucks on every corner", such is the grocery scene in the Ballantyne vicinity. The parking lot was mildly crowded at this hour, and there were a lot of NC plates in the lot, no doubt others have heard about this second coming of the almighty Publix. Walk in and notice the nice flower section where the flowers looked fresh and inviting. The bakery was well stocked with in store baked bread which, upon pressing a few loaves to test for freshness were all soft and doughy. I picked up a loaf of the famous Cuban bread that I have heard so much about. The sandwich station where they were making subs was packed and I saw on the menu the Cuban Sandwich which I also heard was very good. I needed some cold cuts and like the other grocery stores in the area, they carry Boars Head which is a plus...I picked up my standard rare roast beef and horseradish cheddar. I then walked around for my standard litmus test for grocery stores. Meat section was well stocked and they did carry lamb which is a plus for me since it's hard to find in this area. The meat in the case didn't look like anything special and was decently priced along with the Harris Teeter level of store, not Wal Mart. They had a nice seafood selection. Dairy was also, well stocked and priced in accordance with Harris Teeter. What I will say is that they have Publix Brand, private label on most everything in the grocery store and they were priced very competitively and in most cases cheaper than a Harris Teeter which I can see as a plus. They have a pharmacy with a drive through which is very convenient and will be utilized by my family when prescriptions need to be filled. That is something that the other grocery stores didn't think of in the area which is welcome. In an effort to do all of my shopping in one place that is a great idea! I will also mention the service which was abundant and helpful. There was associates everywhere! Smiling, saying "Hello", asking if I needed anything. At checkout they will even carry your stuff to your car for you. Now me, being of sound mind and body I didn't use this service, but I bet the people in the "55 and over community" down the road will like it. The cashier even gave me a coupon at checkout to save me $5.00 off my bill because I left my coupons at home. She even sold me more on their services like stamps at the register, and the fact they don't have a "Loyalty card" because they don't need one, the savings are up front. One less thing on my keychain makes me happy! One final thought on the service. They just opened this week and I heard a lot of the staff say they were in from another store to help out. This is common, and I hope that when everything is operating as normal and they don't have all the extra help that this store maintains it's service level and cleanliness as exhibited today. Look, people talk about the influx of Publix as if the Messiah was making a daily appearance. I will grant them that it's a nicely stocked, well organized store with a few things to separate itself from the others. I will shop there because I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off and it's closer to my house than the Harris Teeter down the road. read more

Not enough great things to say about Publix Indian Land. Awesome service. Much better than the competition. The service alone....Publix wins hands down. I would pay a few pennies more just for the world class service. Publix is awesome. read more

I had to pick up a cake for a birthday party at work and decided to grab a bite to eat while I was there so i wouldn't have to make another stop. I went to the deli and OMG! The food was delicious. I had the chicken fingers, and double down on the onion rings....what can I say other than Keep up the good work and the great quality for a quick lunch! read more

Never disappointed with the Indian Land Publix! Staff is always friendly and helpful; store is always clean; shelves are always stocked.

It's new and clean, but prices are too high and I'd rather go to Teeters down a few miles away. First and last time I'm at this place.
