It was my first time coming to this particular Publix, and I had a great experience. Centrally located in Mint Hill in a santalone building with plenty of free parking, this Publix has just like any other of its kind has, including a variety of products to choose from, fresh produce, clean aisles and good ambiance and friendly staff. I came for milk, bread, cheese and fruit, and found everything I needed with decent prices. Overall, 100% recommended. read more

DONT ORDER ONLINE FOR SUBS. They will always put the people in store first for orders. Ordered my subs at 4:30 - said they'd be ready at 5:05. Watched for half an hour as my order continuously got pushed back even after stating that I had been waiting. The one person who checked on me, mentioned something to the sandwich maker and then walked away and I never saw him again. Mostly the boys working just seemed to be giggling and unconcerned about making any orders. ALSO, the Asian bar was a mess - and coming to Publix, I expected a higher quality of service - otherwise I'd just go to food lion. The rest of the deli staff needs a lesson from the staff at the bakery section. They are the reason I continue to be here. Always going above and beyond for people. read more

I ordered a ham salad sub on their rosemary bread and the bread was so tough. The ham salad was good, but I could not eat the bread.

This Publix is alright. Definitely a hit or miss with employee help. There seems to be no one at the registers working anymore, so you have to go to self checkout. Ordered some subs here before at the deli market and they were alright...The lil freckled girl behind the deli counter got some type of attitude every time though. Are you that annoyed that you have to do your job? Aside from all that, the Publix is in a good location. Hopefully they can try to improve some things. read more

So disappointed in the bakery section at Publix in Mint Hill. Workers tend to be rude and not very helpful on several occasions. I love their fresh baked bread however it seems they are always out of flour or some ingredients therefore the bread isnt made daily like advertised. When asked to have the loaves sliced they act like it is so annoying to them and are rude. The man that works in the bakery isnt helpful in assisting with anything. I asked for a large cake box so I could transfer 10 packs of cupcakes to carry into school for my child and he refused. Customer service is below professional standards! read more

I shop and order sandwiches at this Publix at least once a week, and am always met with great customer service and no issues. Today I decided to stop in and grab 2 wraps and was met with the worst customer service I've EVER experienced. Every time I go in here I get a chicken tender Caesar wrap, usually they do not have the dressing behind the counter since it isn't used a lot and go grab it from the salad dressing isle, today I decided to just grab it for them and brought 1 caesar dressing and 1 bag of caesar croutons ( like they usually grab anyways) to make it easier on the employee and faster service. The employee named " zen" or " zeen" proceeded to tell me that they don't make chicken caesar wraps and looked at me insanely when i told her I get them at least once a week and there are never any issues. After telling her that she proceeds to start screaming for another employee to come " deal " with me. The new employee helping me gave me no issues and the great customer service I'm used to receiving at Publix. As he's finishing my wrap, she proceeds to come back up and tell me she " asked in the back" and that I am apparently lying and that if I wanted the dressing or croutons in my wrap I would have to purchase them first ( which is clearly a lie, makes no sense and many other customers in line made comments about how that is simply untrue) so I told her I am good without the croutons and that she is more than welcome to walk them back over to the isle since it's such a big deal and she just smirks at me and walks away. I truly wish I took a picture of her or maybe a video to add here and show everyone how INSANE and rude this individual is. I'm honestly in shock that Publix would employee someone so disrespectful to their customers. She absolutely needs to be fired and I will definitely be reaching out to corporate as this is unacceptable behavior. So disappointing. read more

The weirdest grocery store i have ever been in. Every section in the store is miss placed. Paper products is across from beer. Toilet paper is not in the paper product isle it is another aisle. Candy was across from milk and bread, fruit was across from wine, and prices that should have been lower for their name brand items. No organic meats, medicines for children, or variety of items in various sections. I understand the fried chicken is great and so are there sandwiches. Unfortunately, I was trying to help a sick child, feed my bride, and eat healthy. Go to the Harris Teeter! read more

I have not been to Publix since I lived in GA. Which was about 15 years ago. I did not realize that I had one so close to me. I told my husband about it and we decided to do our grocery trip there. The area was super neat and clean. Upon walking it, I was amazed on the spot. Great lighting, fresh clean smell and everything was perfectly displayed. We met a staff member named Bruce. He was working the bakery area. He was beyond friendly! He explained to me about all the good deals that were available, when samples are put out and he told me about how most of the bread in the bakery was made on site! He was very friendly and it was nice of him to talk to me about the store. Greatly appreciated it. I was on the hunt for jackfruit... canned or in a bag... it didn't matter... I was busy looking for the stuff and my husband decided to take initiative and track down an employee. I didn't have high hopes for that because it's such a random item... but the man he asked knew exactly what it was and where they had it. They didn't have it canned but they had it in a bag. Which didn't matter to me! I didn't catch his name, but I was glad he knew what we were talking about. We walked around the whole store. Check out was easy and quick. They only had 1 registers open and then a section for self checkout. We spent about $80. Over all it was worth it and I will be back! Having a nice and clean place to shop for food is very important. I ordered a birthday cake for my son through Publix in Mint Hill, NC. I am uploading a picture of what the design was supposed to look like and I am uploading a picture of what I received. My husband picked up the cake on Friday afternoon, looked at the cake, and asked if they were sure that was what I ordered, they assured him it was. When he arrives at home and proceeds to show me what we received I was appalled. I called Publix immediately and was told, they do "their best" and "they're not professionals" and I could bring the cake back and they would see if they could fix it. This was 1 hour prior to my sons birthday party and there was NO way I would have time to drive 30 minutes back to Publix for them to try and fix it. My major compliant is if you're unable to complete a design, that you advertise, contact the customer and let them know! This cake was close to $80 and was no where close to being worth that. I will never order another cake from Publix and I want to make sure everyone else is aware of how I was treated and what product we received. read more

This place usually has the best subs in town way better than Subway or Firehouse subs,but not anymore. The little old lady working with the subs cannot speak English and got everything on my sub messed up. It took her 20 minutes to make each sub and did not understand what I was saying. This is a problem by the time she got to the second sub she was so confused and I paid for her mistakes. This is front line position and she needs to speak or at least understand English. I think the gentleman working with her in the Deli may be a relative because he always fills in and just to her defence when she gets behind which is often. I purchase these subs often but she has made it a losing battle. I have to use sign langue to communicate .She should not be there. This has hurt Publix reputation and customer service is rare because she just does not understand. Something needs to be done. Not a Happy Camper and .Employees need to speak English. Most Publix stores are clean, shiny, and packed with friendly, helpful employees. Being that this is a brand new store, all of those things are true to an extreme. I popped in really quickly today during the grand opening to see what the store has to offer. I'm glad I opted not to get a cart or attempt any actual shopping; it was crazy inside. I'm not sure if there were more customers or employees. There's a sizable parking lot, and there's a traffic light that makes getting back out to Matthews-Mint Hill Road nice and easy. There are also a lot of new buildings nearing completion in the area. I'm really hoping for some unique, non-chain stores and restaurants to open, but that might be a fool's hope in Mint Hill. The bakery, deli, and produce areas are all very nice. The wine selection is quite good, but it's comparable to the Harris Teeter across the street. The beer selection was sad. There was a decent selection on the shelves, including a decent number of good bombers, but the cold beer selection was limited to craptastic beer and all those fake craft brews. The Harris Teeter across the street doesn't have a great selection, but its selection puts Publix to shame. Like Chad said, the nicest thing about Publix opening is being able to bounce around to different stores to get the best items at the best prices. Just like Harris Teeter, Publix has some great deals, but it also has items that are ridiculously overpriced. With the two stores right across the street from each other, and with Aldi right down the road, there's no need to do all your shopping at one store. I'll definitely come back to this location frequently. However, I doubt I'll ever complete an entire shopping list in just this store. read more

I love this grocery store for all my produce, dairy, and meat. They have a wide variety of produce as well as a whole cheese section. If you are buying name brand things ie. pop tarts, cereal, etc. you should go to food lion around the corner because it's a few cents cheaper. But this is always my go to grocery store! read more

love the service from the moment you walk in to when you get back to your car! The deli and bakery are incredible! The bread is so fresh and the assortment of boar's head meat and cheese is excellent! The selection throughout the store is much better in comparison to any other store in the area! And they also cater to my ocd needs because the store is pristine and neat! The prices are slightly better than teeter, I could do my specialty shopping there but the non essentials or bulk will be saved for the lion for sure.. It's rarely ever crowded, the people are friendly, prices are good, shelves are stocked well. I like Publix more than H.T. and think prices and deals are way better by far. They have my NY garlic pickles! More expensive than in NY but I love my pickles, they're by the cold deli meats section,not the deli.

A nice clean place to shop. We frequently buy groceries here because of the convenient location. I like that they offer to carry your groceries to the car, because I have my infant with me when I shop and it's a really nice service. This just reflects my personal preferences, but I don't like how pushy they are with their 'help.' There have been a couple times I did not want help to my car and the bag attendant refused to hand me my bags. Those were uncomfortable moments. There was also an instance when the bag attendant (I don't know that 'bagger' is a word) started loading my groceries onto the belt and was so busy talking that he dropped 5 things on the floor-- not exactly helpful. That being said, I love their bakery, their friendliness, and their selection of produce, ice cream, and protein bars. I'm a fan! read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Mint Hill, NC Publix this morning. I fully expected to encounter grumbling staff and rude customers on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Instead I found responsible customers in masks and trying to social distance and kindly waiting for others to finish. I received extra help from Trevor with finding styrofoam coolers and bags of ice, even taking them to customer service for me. Dennis kindly assisted me when a bottle fell out of my cart and broke. He cleaned it up and assured me that this wasn't the first time. He has been with Publix for 18 years. Karen bagged up my groceries and assisted me to my van since I ended up with 2 carts. I will definitely return and just wish they would open a Publix near my home in Louisville, KY. I left smiling and happy! read more

Well, the bloom is off the rose. When Publix first opened, it was fabulous, Specifically, the fresh bread, deli sandwiches made to order, unusual gourmet brands, and produce. Now, they've cut back on the deli sandwiches, and not only do they take forever to make, they're not as good as they used to be.The premade pizza dough used to be great, now it's hard and old. The produce used to be fantastic, now it's simply overpriced. Can't get a decent tomato there to save your life...the grape tomatoes inside those little sealed containers are always soft and gross. And a bag of granny smith apples last week cost $5.99 at Publix and $3.99 at Food Lion, and I think those were the regular prices. Honestly, Food Lion has seemed to up their game to compete. They've got a lot of new specialty items in the deli. The quality of their produce, which used to be a very low grade, seems to have improved, and the prices are much, much lower than Publix. I was never in the habit of going to Harris Teeter, but I think I will. Publix is so ridiculously overpriced, and it just can't be justified anymore. I don't care how nice their employees are; there are nice employees at FL and HT too. read more

If I can't check prices online like I can at my local HT, Publix will almost never win. But as they way things go with supermarkets you do seem to have to make the circuit to get everything you need. Stopped at Publix for a sub for lunch. I love Publix subs - the bread is awesome. I usually tend to stick with the regular white but they also offer wheat and an everything roll. You have the option of regular meat or Boar's head. It depends on what I am ordering, but the regular meat is fine most of the time. Sometimes I will spring for more expensive Boar's head. The subs are a little more expensive at Publix than other places like Harris Teeter or Jimmy Johns but totally worth it once in a while. I think the subs at Publix are way better than any sub I have gotten at Harris Teeter. read more

Every Publix has a good bakery, but this one really stands out as being superior. The rest of the store is what you would expect from a Publix: clean store, great selection, a real meat market with butchers to cut what you need, and of course world class service. Love publix. The location by my house is amazing. This location not so much. Went to get a sandwich and waited 5 minutes without anyone even acknowledging the fact I was standing there. There was a gentleman standing two feet from me behind the counter never said a word. There were two woman at the deli case not a word. By this time three other customers were behind me still no service not even I'll be with you in one second came from anyone. I'm from Florida and grew up going to Publix. I have to admit, this Publix is better than the South Florida Publix. Everyone here is friendly and knows my families name. Katie always greets you with a smile, Eric the store manager is always smiling and helpful, the baggers like Winston are friendly and Amanda the Pharmacy manager is like family. Everyone WANTS to be there. Its like a warm hug when you walk in that place. Just don't get too familiar with their employees as they tend to move them to other stores like previous managers Franky and Trevor. Clearly mint hill brings out the best! read more
