This one star is solely for the pharmacy. We got a prescription for an antibiotic, and a inhaler steroid with spacer for our son. No call from the pharmacy. My wife went in person rhe next day to see if the scrip was filled. The antibiotic was, not the inhaler. At this point, we were thinking, why not call us and give us the option to go to another pharmacy. They told my wife the inhaler would be ready the next day. She went back. They got her rhe inhaler but then told her that they do not provide the spacer. This is TWO DAYS after the prescription was received! This is just useless customer service. Now supposedly we have to track down a pharmacy that sells the spscer on our own, and rhen have the prescription switched to that pharmacy. Useless! Don't buy meat and seafood here!!!! I just bought lamb. It was in a tray package. The package looked fine. The lamb color looked red and looked normal. But when I opened it at home. Smell was so bad. It was totally spoiled. Also the other time I bought shimp here but when i opned it. It was not fresh and smell terrible. I'll never buy meat and seafood from them agian. I don't live close to this Harris teeter but just so happened to be in the area! I find it funny how every Harris teeter in the Charlotte area is so different. The one that is a kid 3 minutes from me is super small. Probably the smallest Harris Teeter around. It's crazy to see how little our store offers compared to the ones surrounding it. This one is great! It's huge and has lots of different sections with more than just groceries. I think I will be coming here more often. I have my review 4 stars because of check out. I don't know why lots of stores do this but there was only one person checking people out. Then in the self check out, only a few registers were working. read more

Don't do your online grocery order here. They messed up my order EVERY SINGLE TIME! And most of the time, I get produce that's already going bad. How hard is it to shop for someone else's grocery. I order literally the SAME thing every time! It's like they need a class to graduate grocery shopping first before they should even provide online grocery pick up. Manager is rude and didn't apologize when they over charged me for an order that was DOUBLE the price of my grocery. My husband had to pick up grocery and didn't know. Another time, I was charged for express lane when I went inside to paid for my order. What a joke! Most employees have attitude there too. I pass by no less than 4 Harris Teeters between my work and home drive, but would go the extra 5 miles to use the pharmacy services here. No longer will I be doing that. Since Diane moved on due to a promotion, this place is just not worth it. I have stood at the counter for no less than 10 minutes, closer to 15 while the male pharmacist carried on a personal conversation related to darts or pool-Never once checked to see if there was anyone standing at the counter. Recently my spouse added a new medicine and of course, we had questions. However, we were pushed twice to sign off that we had no questions for the pharmacist, when in fact, we did. When we did ask for clarification on the meds, we got an attitude. Yesterday, I went to get a prescription refilled and the assistant just looked at me. No hello, no greeting...just looking and then she finally ambled over and gave me attitude. I was perfectly ok with the hour and a half wait...but then, I decided...you know, if I want attitude, I can just go stand in line at Walmart. If Harris Teeter wants to be my Neighborhood Food Market, they need to train the employees in the pharmacy to be friendly and helpful, not grumpy and curt. I came to this Harris teeter during super doubles. I was exited to use my coupons because I haven't couponed in a while I got my things went to the cashier line waiting patiently for the lady in front had a lot of things. I get to the register and the register woman asks for my coupons I give them to her, she didn't ask for my phone number to put in. Right away she start checking that my coupons match the products , right away she says the coupons don't match the product because it's supposed to be a larger product I tell her no the coupon specifically says 8oz or smaller, she doesn't listen to me and asks another lady if it's the right product the other lady says yes. Ok next product she says these don't match and gives me the coupons back for some razors I check the coupon she was right. The next coupon she says it's the same thing it's not the product for the coupon. I tell her yes it is there's even a picture! To show that it's the same exact things I'm trying to get. She still says no, So now I'm standing there thinking what do I do now should I ask customer service ?. All of a sudden my coupons aren't scanning she calls customer service and tell the girl the coupons aren't scanning, the girl told her she hasn't even put the phone number in, once she does the coupons she scanned start showing up, since the customer service girl was there I asked her personally if the coupons matched the product? It even shows a picture and it's the exact same thing , the cashier woman is trying to talk over me telling her it's not for that coupon, I ignore the cashier woman because I know I'm right and I'm asking the girl, I guess the cashier got frustrated and snatched the coupon from the girls hand and said I'm not gonna argue with her I'll just scan it. After that how hole time she starts mad dogging me and throwing my things in the bag , she gets the bag out the bag holder and throws it in the cart! The hole time I was in shock and couldn't believe how rude she was being. After my checkout I told a young man what had happened and how I could write a complaint ?, he said he'd talk to her. I wasn't satisfied with that answer I didn't even know if he was even the manager to start off, so I called corporate and told them what had happened, the girl told me she would tell the manager and he should know what to do about warning the cashier. This was a very bad experience for me and I hope that nobody ever goes through this like I did, the only reason I didn't go over the top is because I'm not that type of person, this woman should be let go because she didn't even look like she wanted to be there in the first place, once she saw me with my coupons she started to be rude. read more

This is a very nice place to grocery shop and pick up prescriptions. They do everything they can to help you get what you need. Sometimes, just like any other retailer, they will have days with set backs, but they don't let that ruin your experience. I even get my vaccines here and I'm nervous with needles. Like the more upscale sense of this store similar to what I had at McCaffreys Market back in NJ. Am actually surprised at the reviews as I've shopped here for 6 months now w/no issues. The meats are excellent at the specialty butcher counter which has the long bone Berkshire pork chops which are leagues above normal grocery items. I've also grown fond of the harvest bread which has little pumpkin seeds on it. Meiomi Pinot Noir goes on sale (seems to be on Thursdays) for $17 a bottle fairly often. Staff will offer to help you to the car when the cart is loaded which is a lovely service touch. I would like to see a) improved and more upscale cheese selections and b) real cream (no ultra-pasteurized for longevity and c) food tastings especially at holiday times which showcase prepared items via samplings. Same for wine. Holiday decor needs to be introduced for a cheerful touch. Staff has always been pleasant to me. read more

This is where I do most of my grocery shopping, with Aldi and Trader Joe's filling the gaps. I thought this location was fine enough (three stars) before HT remodeled it, but it is much better now. The store is clean, well-stocked (except after eVIC deals, etc.), and the employees are friendly. I mainly come here out of convenience. The prices are hit or miss. Sometimes there are incredible deals, sometimes mediocre, and some items are horribly overpriced. With the remodeling came an expanded deli/pizza area, flower/gift area, and one area that is still under construction. I'm hoping that the Publix that is under construction across the street will further force HT to have more competitive pricing and more extensive offerings for customers. The beer selection has slightly improved, but it is still lackluster as far as craft beers are concerned. Get on that, HT! read more

If I could do zero stars I would, I came to the deli for a breakfast sandwich croissant with Turkey and as soon as I mentioned that I wanted Turkey the lady Terri took a big annoyed breath like it was bothersome for her to do her job, she immediately said with an attitude that it would be extra and its not on the menu when I always get this on every other Harris teeter, she did not even bother to ask if I wanted anything else on them and started wrapping them when I mentioned I wanted lettuce she kept breathing heavily so unprofessional and no care for the customer, it's sad that for one employee the whole store experience gets ruined and give the store a bad reputation. read more

This is a fantastic new addition to the HT presence, and much better than the previous occupant of this space. All departments are present (save a Starbucks), including the salad bar, specialty cheese shop, and full service fresh foods market. The layout is still very "Lowes" but it's obvious that you are in a Harris Teeter. Very grateful to have one so close to my house, and one that has everything I look for. read more

Had to wait over 15 minutes just to get two sandwiches. The associate kept going back and forth helping someone else while I was waiting for my food to be fixed. When travelling in the South, I've always been impressed with Harris Teeter. I moved to Mint Hill a year ago and have had my ups and downs with the pick up service. For many months, it seemed like it was a channel for disposing of the old/past date perishable items. I quit using the pick up. I went back and it was great until the most recent month culminating in an absolutely horrible experience yesterday from both a service and a food quality perspective. I truly believe the issue lays with individual employees and management being hands-on. Some weeks it was just fabulous, but Brian cost Harris Teeter a customer yesterday. Thought I was going to have to wait in a massive line today to check out with my few items because I had some fruits and veggies that couldn't just be scanned at self check out (I know there's a way to ring them up just don't know how), and the gentleman running the self check out came over to the line and told me he could help me over there. Already feel the Krogerzation at work after being away from Teeter's home turf for awhile. Tons of end caps and aisle displays make for a junky disjointed experience. Tells me they are relying on vendors to do most of the merchandising. What with Lowe's had been an expansive beer selection has been choked down by at least half. How many different packing options of Bud Light do you need to stock? Not huge deals but indicative of a downward slide that is underway, I think. read more

Really disappointed with HT since they now are owned by Kroger's. They stopped carrying many items I used to get (Parkay Butter) and did away with my favorite cookies by HT Traders. They stopped selling my husbands brand of beer and their produce is always rotten. You would think Mint Hill's g stores would sell fresher items. Guess I'll have to drive 1/2 hour to get to a better grocery store that carries fresh produce like the Ballantyne area. Can't wait for farmers market to open!! read more

Had a big problem checking out and posted my negative review earlier this week. I have since taken it down due to the upmost courtesy Justin, the Store Manager, gave me when he received my complaint. He insisted on making my experience a better one. He handled the whole situation himself and made sure I was completely happy and satisfied. What terrific customer service that I rarely encounter. This Harris Teeter was just opened today to replace the Lowes foods that was in the location as recently as a couple months ago. They did a fair amount of remodeling work in the inside and noticeably in the deli section (to the right as you enter) where they added a few food "kiosks" to display a myriad of items. It also appears they remodeled/improved the floors and the isles even seem to be a bit longer. Overall it's one of the nicer Harris Teeters I've visited. Good beer selection also. read more

Only 1 live cashier with 5 carts of groceries and customers in line. Seems to force the issue of using self check (which I really hate). Not to mention the self check out only had 2 of the 4 registers working. No one to manage the check out and not a single employee to be seen at the customer service desk. You really do pay more to get less ! Scaling down the employees and cheapening the management of the store might save the Teeter money. I was a loyal HT shopper for years when we lived in Charlotte so naturally I was excited to see a HT around the corner from our new neighborhood. I can honestly say I've never seen a more disorganized store. The home shopping has always been important for me since I work crazy hours. They are ALWAYS out of stock of something I need. There are also a couple of times they have forgot to give me a bag or given me out dated food. I will probably be shopping the Publix across the street from now on. read more

My wife and I just moved to Charlotte recently from Ohio so we needed to find a new local grocery store. We tried both HT and Publix directly across the street. We learned of a fuel rewards program that HT offered and that pushed us to frequent HT over Publix. Recently we have had problems with products being out of stock or discontinued regularly. We have been disappointed about the out of stock situation but continued to use HT because of the fuel program. HT has since decided to discontinue the fuel program as of Nov 2916 so we have now decided to discontinue using HT as our local grocery store. Publix across the street is just as convenient and seems to have comparable prices and quality. Nothing now separates HT from its completion. read more

Recently relocated from another state and have only shopped here a few times. Tried to return two items without a receipt and was unable to do so. CSR tried to look it up with my VIC card and could not find the transaction. She said only the last 90 days are traceable, well I haven't even live in Charlotte 90 so I did not understand why she could not find the transaction. I was even unable to obtain a store credit for the two items. I then emailed corporate and was told the same thing and basically left with these items that I do not need. Disappointed that the only solution - nothing. Not good customer service, especially not even to offer store credit. Not a good first impression, won't be back. read more

Ever since Harris Teeter announced they were selling out, I've noticed a decline in customer service at many the stores, as well as their products. This Friday afternoon was not terribly busy. First, the selection of ground beef was pathetic. There were hardly any stocked. Really - ground beef?! For such a large store, I was shocked. Did they run out? Is there a ground beef shortage? Anyway, I made my purchase with an associate and a bottle of wine was left behind. When I returned home, I noticed it missing. I called the customer service line and no one picked up. In fact, it continued to ring until I decided to call on other line. I selected the pharmacy who kindly put me in touch with the manager on duty. Meanwhile, the customer service continued to ring. No one answered. No one. This was well over 20 minutes. After reaching Heather - the MOD on duty - the phone to customer service still rang. Heather was kind but didn't verify that my missing item was there or not. Nor did she make any apologies. She told me to return and all would be handled. Since it's not my "home store" I asked if I could pick it up there. She said she'd contact that store and make sure I get the missing item. Props to her for offering to do so. Still, it was not the usual Harris Teeter standard. This is at least the handful of visits I made to this Harris Teeter. I'll stick with my home store while I anxiously await the opening of Publix. I'm sure the customer service line is still ringing. read more

Half the time I buy an item on sale, the sale price is not in the system. I have to show the clerk the sale price. I get the sale price, but no response from the clerk. This has gone on for 9 months or more. I have to always be on alert during checkout. read more

I love shopping at HT! Stores are clean and the employees always helpful and friendly. We recently moved and don't have a HT anywhere near us but 4 stores equal distance from us. I started shopping at this location due to location but this past Friday was the last time. My husband and I were shopping at this location two weeks ago, where we came across boxes of frozen items on the last row, no one around, and ice cream melted. We went and found someone to let them know and they started putting away the items?? Really! On Friday, I went to the bathroom and as I was washing my hands, an employee walks out of a stall and straight out the door! And finally I went to the deli to get lunch meat. I am not sure if the gentleman helping me was new as I had never seen him before. I asked a question about the special and he replied with " I will do this once because I don't want to argue with you!" Really asking a question is considered arguing? That was their 3rd strike! I will not still shop at HT but I will pick another location. I am not sure if they kept the employees from the lowe's food.
