Let me tell you, it was hard to get me out. First of all, I love the owner! She's the coolest lady with a wickedly intuitive insight for spotting out exactly what you need. The aisles are packed with tons of herbal remedies for literally any ailment your body can throw at you. Vegan? They got you. Vegetarian? There's an aisle for that. Overprotective mom who passed her Vicks VapoRub stage? Say no more. Dude, they even have avocado honey and some groovy migraine drops for when the Palmetto Expressway fusses with your chakras. Herbs, spices, tinctures, and supplements galore is what you'll find on your visit here. I'm surprised more people aren't flocking here like wild geese. Hipsters, come get your mangosteen on over here because this is where the wild things are. Let's put it this way, I walked out of here with a higher awareness of the whole idea that my body is a machine, and that sometimes, that machine cannot solely survive from croquetas alone. Wild, but true. I've never seen artichoke tea but on my next trip here, I'm grabbing a box of it...because why not? Miami Lakes has character and it's found throughout Hale's Health Food so throw yourself Herbalife away and wear your best leggings because this one is a gem worth celebrating.

This family owned farmers market is in it's own small building. It was very interesting to me because this is the first place I found that sells raw milk. It is not something I personally drink but advocates claim that the pasteurization of milk destroys the nutrients, enzymes, and good bacteria. Benefits of raw milk may include more nutrients, improved digestion, and enhanced immune function. Others believe that the benefits are outweighed by health risks associated with consuming raw dairy products. The raw products sold here state they are not for human consumption. In addition to raw milk they also sell raw milk kefir, raw yogurt, raw cheese, raw butter, and raw milk ice cream. Other products they sell include organic produce grown in Southwest Ranches, local honey, hormone free and grass fed meat and seafood, farm fresh eggs, bath and beauty products, bread, and fresh made key lime pies. Staff was on hand to helpfully answer customers questions. I do believe that food is medicine and that it can heal you. This market subscribes to that philosophy. It is a niche for people who don't mind paying more to know where there food comes from, want clean ingredients, or are into a particular lifestyle choice. If you are looking for a large selection or inexpensive prices, this is probably not for you but I enjoyed my visit.

Extremely knowledgeable Oriental Medicine practitioner!…read more Very clean and professional facility is not particularly noticeable on Taft Street just west of Douglas (Pine Island) Road. I drove by all the time and never noticed it there. However, it is a great place for acupuncture and on the spot, custom herbal remedies. The Herbalist was a commercial research microbiologist and is intimately familiar with how various components of whole foods interact with the body to treat a variety of circumstances. Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years as a treatment modality for aches, pains, and chronic conditions. While western medicine has developed extraordinary acute/emergency care that has saved many lives, the western approach to chronic care is symptom management. Nothing is designed to treat or cure the source of the symptom. The conventional medicine to treat one symptom creates several others (side effects) and the requirement for more and more toxic meds. Acupuncture helps break the downward spiral of side effects to actually get better and maintain this through the body's own mechanisms. With Lupus, refractory hypertension (blood pressure not controlled by 4+ medications), and renal disease; I have benefited profoundly from acupuncture. It is a powerfnul tool in my arsenal to prolong my life and reduce/avoid the number and quantity of toxic medication and permanently destructive procedures. I am greatful to have a practitioner I can depend on.
