The minute you walk in you can tell this is not a normal Publix, this actually use to be a Albertsons. This store is huge and offers everything you find at any other stores. The layout is different from other stores and there is a lot of space to shop and the deli is right when you walk in on the right The service is great just like any other store and this store is also very clean.the food is very good and the deli has a good selection and so does the meat department and bakery. As far as Publix grocery stores go, the store itself is average & basic, it could use an upgrade for sure. All of the employees are really friendly & helpful, if you ask an employee where something is they will walk you right to the spot. But the real reason I'm writing this is because the Pharmacy at this store is amazing. They are all extremely helpful, the pharmacists are knowledgeable, they've held my hand through multiple insurance changes over the years. I have Good RX & they never have a problem checking whether my insurance or Good RX is cheaper so I can save money. read more

Bad service and people tend to service the white and black people only. I had confront the manager but she said I cussed so walked away, luckily I had other witness nearby. They lied and being unfriendly towards Asian. Spending more than 20 min to help the customer that they like and ignore if you are Asian. Manager and employees there are needed to re-train and re-learn. Caution to all Asian people, do not let this go if you are being treat like bad there. The shelves are usually fully stocked and I can find what I need here when I can't find it anywhere else. Bakery and deli always have fresh products and a nice selection. BOGO deals are nice. Parking can be a nightmare depending on time/day you go. Best time is during the week mid morning or afternoon. Publix employees are friendly and helpful for the most part. Self check out is nice when you've only got a few items. Would not recommend if you have a full cart. read more

Why did they change all the self-checkouts to pay with card only???? It doesn't make sense. I only use cash and now I have to wait online with only 1 register open!!! Ridiculous, I had to wait on line for over 20 minutes for 2 items to pay with cash and I look over and see 6 empty self-checkouts!!!! Go back to taking cash at self-checkouts or hire more cashiers that work every time of the day especially at night!!! read more

I worked at Publix 1394. 1700 34th street North. I worked there for seven years and never had an issue with management.. so I'm posting this Because of PUBLIX illegal activity at that store. I was on FLMA. And fired for false allegations 3 weeks after I returned from a 5 week leave of absence. I was fired for a domestic battery that I had said was a big misunderstanding. And I told them that these charges would be dropped.. the fact of the matter is the state of attorney investigated the case. If the state had a case they would've proceeded with charges against me. Never had a case that was dismissed. And now the case has been removed off of my record. But it's OK for the same PUBLIX 1394 to have an assistant manager that has a domestic battery on his record while he was working for PUBLIX. PUBLIX won't give me an answer as to how he wasn't fired, but yet PUBLIX wants to standby their termination on my domestic battery that was dropped.. Ian is no longer on my record. So that leaves it to that I was technically fired for an illegal matter of being on FLMA. I had tried to contact Kelly Miller back in September 2023. Kelly Miller said she would come in and talk to me and she never did.. so when I was terminated, I never even spoke to HR but HR went to make the decision to terminate me. My wife who worked at the same PUBLIX was charged with a DUI. That goes to show when I said she had a drinking problem.. and I was trying to get her help professionally. That's how I wound up with my domestic battery. So it doesn't matter what you say when you're intoxicated. But yeah, I get fired for it. my wife was arrested in charge with a felony in PUBLIX did not fire her. So until these managers are held accountable, I will continue to keep expressing my freedom of speech. And standing up to a bully like PUBLIX.. PUBLIX states they can control you by modern everything you do outside of PUBLIX. so PUBLIX want to be in my personal life? I am now in PUBLIX life. Disrupting their legal activities. So they need to start holding these managers accountable starting with Andrew the store manager at 1394. Becca was his assistant store manager. They both wanted me out there because I had a foot injury. They were trying to cover up. You also have Theresa the deli manager. Who wanted to go around showing everybody in the store? Both of our arrest records spreading rumours without knowing the facts. And then Kelly Miller HR. Who wanted to terminate me without even talking to me to hear my side story? so there's no telling what Andrew and Becca even told Kelly Miller. But in my termination papers, it also states that I said from the beginning that my case would be dropped. And it was dropped and it's no longer on my record anymore. So you can't say my termination was because of my domestic battery because there was no domestic battery. Start holding these managers accountable. Because I was a role model associate and it can be proven. Along with me being on FLMA. read more

If you are handicapped & have a Service Animal, be warned, they will harass you if your small animal is in the upper part of the cart. Even the cart that has the plastic molded seat for children. They just gave me crap even after I told her I was diabetic and needed my service dog who is older up in the cart so he is closer to me. I chose the child seat cart because a wipe with a Lysol cleaner and it would be sterile. I am shaking that officious manager upset me so bad! I will NEVER SHOP at Publix again! They stock expired food. They blame it on the fact that organic and healthy items do not sell well at this store. I would check your dates if you really feel you must shop at this place. Managers just make excuses. I have purchased expired bacon many times, expired eggs, and expired chicken. They do not throw out old food. If you must shop at this place double check your dates. I almost drank an organic juice that was 6 months expired. I hope they re do this place or shut it down so another grocer can take over the space. this message is for all the publix's in the tampa bay area. i usually get online to view the weekly ad then pick up a flyer when i am at the store. i recently noticed that publix's made another change to their web page. i am no longer able to click on weekly ad. i contacted them about this. well they use "cookies" i guess selling your email to many other companies. i was told in the response that i have to accept their cookies. guess publix does not care how many emails you will be receiving from them selling your email to make more money for themselves. sad that one of the many good grocery stores in this area has to stoop to selling emails. read more

I b ought Jimmy Dean sausage a few days ago. I was going to make some this morning and they had mold. The date on package said 04-21. Now this is second time in a month that meat was bad before date was up. I know could have brought it back but I'm 71 and didn't feel like it. I am solely writing this review for the great service that I got from ANNA in the pub station. I believe she deserves a promotion or a raise at least. I came to order subs for the family and I forgot my wallet. The line was pretty long and as I waited in line I knew why. You had Anna who was cranking out customers left and right and doing all the online orders where her coworker was doing one customer for every 6 orders Anna was getting done. Since I did not know if Publix accepts Apple pay, I decided to order my subs online and pay for them while waiting in line. I ordered around 7:45 with a pick-up time around 8:20 since that was the earliest possible pickup time. I chose to just wait in line and see if I could get my food faster. As you can imagine with the diligent speed Anna was working at, I ended up getting to her quickly while the other worker was still on her second person since I entered the line. I explained the situation to ANNA, and she quickly grasped the situation without me explaining it further. She told me that she will crank it out and if I need to get some shopping done, I should go ahead since I already paid for the subs. Since I didn't need anything, I waited there for 5 mins and she finished all four subs and they looked great. So thank you Anna for being an efficient hard worker and I hope you get recognized for your efforts. So if you ever visit this location, please look for ANNA she is awesome!! read more

Check your packaged meats!! I just paid $7 a pound for a round bone lamb steak. There were two pieces of steak in the package and I asked the meat clerk to repackage me just one of the steaks. He did and the lamb looked perfect and meaty. Got it home, seasoned it and placed it into the pan. That's when I saw the underneath side of the steak - it was all FAT. The difference in the two sides was unbelievable. Yet, the "better" side was the one that they showed me in the package. It was really a bad steak. Almost inedible, trying to get around the fat and find the meat. I personally feel that if they cannot show the WORST side of the meat to the customer and have them buy it, they shouldn't sell it at all! read more

On April 8th 2019 I went too this Publix's and went too the Deli and ordered a 12 inch Tuna Sub and she puts everything on like I ask her then I go outside and open my food because I'm starving I look down and in my sandwich was a bug and the ONLY thing they can say too me is "sorry " and asked if I wanted another sub "Hell no" Would you?! This review is in regards to the deli department. 03/07/19 today I went to buy a chicken tenders sub and I am utterly unhappy with how it was made today. During the process of assembling my sub, midway after cutting the chicken tenders, the food line worker - Jimmy, digs into his pocket to check the time on his phone and continued to put the sub together. To go from assembling food to going into his pocket for his phone and back to assembling food with the same glove, that is cross-contamination. I've worked in the food industry and I know that this is not okay and goes against the code of food handling safety. Although the quality of Publix foods is of the best around, the food that was served to me was tainted and this could have been easily-avoided if the worker did not reach into his pocket with the glove he was using put my food together OR the worker switched gloves before continuing his work. This goes to show Publix needs remind their food workers about food safety and handling because cross-contamination is not a joke. read more

This is smaller than most of the other Publix stores, but definitely just as busy. My only complaints are the parking (what else is new) and their packaged meat sizes. I like buying one pound packages of ground beef and it seems like the smallest they have is always 1.3-1.4 lbs. Other than that, like most Publix, the lines are short, the staff is friendly and it's very clean. I continue to be a loyal Publix customer! read more

Made a trip to the grocery store Sunday and Adam in the bakery was very rude. I felt like I was discriminated against. I was told to return in 15 minutes, waited patiently to get 12 loaves of howie bread, and watched 2 white women walk into store after me, walk up to the counter and was served immediately. I even brought it up to the manager and he said he would fix it. Go to any other publix and the pharmacist has no problem checking you out with a few items, but it seems this location is too lazy for the normal good customer service you'd expect at Publix. "IT'S JUST A WALK IN THE PARK," JENNIFER. 10/17 P#19 Thirty-six years ago, I bought a house in Pinellas Park and have lived there every since. And in the first twenty years or so which I lived there, I shopped at the neighborhood Winn Dixie. But that chain of stores including the one in my neighborhood, seemed to "loose it's luster" with me during that time. And during that time, Publix stores seemed to "rise to the top." And it is funny that while I started going to Publix stores around my home and work, I ignored this store at 4701 Park Blvd in Pinellas Park. Probably, because I just happened to turn the other direction for church and work and so forth. But, on my "Pinellas County Publix tour," I bumped into JENNIFER, who made me realize that this store could probably become one of my favorite stores, and wouldn't that be convenient. In light of this, I have made a few trips back to this store "in the Park." In Pinellas Park that is, and it is not a bad thing to support a business located in my own town. And, on my trip through the store one day, the first thing I noticed was a "super cool" arrangement of pumpkins in one of the isles. I asked JODY how some of the pumpkins looked so different and so "totally cool." Even though I could tell that she was too busy to stop for idle chatter, she explained very nicely, and to my satisfaction how that was possible. "And Jody, I do plan on buying one of your pumpkins once we are a little closer to the holiday." And then I wandered over to the fish display and bumped into STEVEN. He was so nice I knew that after asking him a few questions, I just had to buy something from him. "Steven, the salmon patty which you suggested was very good, thank you!!" And a special thanks to LAURA and DANIELLA who were very kind in helping me choose the right tomatoes at the cash register. Is that possible?!?! To choose the right tomatoes at the cash register?!?! Well, it worked!! And a special thanks to JEAN and BETTY at the deli counter. Jean is always so hospitable, while Betty is the only person in the last 44 Publix stores (which I have visited), who I noticed always has a friendly and happy look on her face. And both of them "Hustle" better that "Minnesota Fats!!!" Yes, I'm afraid that this store may be one of the friendliest Publix stores which I have ever visited. Or, from any chain for that matter!! Not positive this is the Publix I went to, but I'm sure they're all the same. I ordered a sandwich from the deli. I think it was called mojo pork. The deli clerk weighed the meat and it looked like he put three thimbles full on the scale. When he saw it was under he loaded up the rest with onions. So what I was getting was a bread sandwich with a minuscule amount of meat cowering in the corner. I guess I'm used to New York-style overstuffed sandwiches. Five bucks is cheap, but considering you're paying for mostly bread, not so much. read more
