This is easily the best Publix I've been to. The one on Nova Dr takes about half the time to get to but whenever I need more than 2-3 things, I go to this one. This Publix is considerably larger than most and is very well organized with a huge selection of "BOGO's" right at the front of the store. They have a superb selection of wines, fine cheeses, meats, produce, and a great bakery and deli. The only drawback to this Publix is that to get back on University going south, you have to turn right, then get in a short turning lane and make a U-turn, competing with people leaving the adjacent Whole Foods parking lot . But since this is a busy intersection, the turning lane fills up fast and causes a backup into the parking lot. Bottom line: If you're coming from south of 595, this place is a big hassle to get to but the cleanliness, organization and selection at this Publix makes it worth it. read more

I love Publix. It's clearly the best grocery store in Florida. This Plantation store has nice amenities, very clean, and nice people work there. But I've noticed time and time again the misleading signs they post on supposed sale items. I don't mean the BOGOs they offer, but items like in produce. Yesterday they had squash and zucchini packaged together on a shelf with 5, yes 5 signs saying $2.49. However the middle sign also said $2.49 per pound while all the others were identical but did not say per pound. I know this probably sounds like nitpicking but you can find this kind of trickery every week. It would be nice if they eliminated the similar signs for products that must either be sold out or nonexistent and keep the pricing more clear. I guess what I'm saying is double check the signage before you grab items off the shelf. It's very clever how they purposefully mislead you. read more

One of the newest Publix' in the Plantation is by far the best Publix I've ever been to. Having been recently open this year, this Publix seems to have the ultimate intangible down, that is, they offer a wider variety of foodstuffs when compared to other Publix'. From the ethnic aisle to the expansive beer selection, this place comes correct. The people there are also VERY friendly. When my wife and I carpool to work, we like to stop off at their bakery early in the morning to get some pastelitos, croquettes and a cup of coffee which, surpringly enough is very good. Another thing worth noting is how clean the store is and how organized they keep it. For the most part, it fits the cookie-cutter mold of any Publix you might be used to but one cool thing that I like is that they tend to mix it up a little bit with their displays. My only gripe is that it does get very busy on the weekends, I mean like, OVERLY busy; to the point of parking lot frustration but, it's well worth it. So, if you haven't been to this location check it out whenever you get the chance, well worth it. read more

This is a decent publix, I been there a few times and the staff has been nice and friendly, but no today I asked one of the manager if they had a wine and he told me that he didn't know, that he never seen that wine before and to go look on the wine isle, so he left me hanging! Instead a guy sampling wine rushed and helped me! If it wasn't for the other person I would have left with no wine! Btw I bought 8 bottles that were on the shelf! In all the others publix I been before staff always offer to help and go above and beyond to find what I need! Not today in this publix! It is employees like her that make the difference in "having to go" to the grocery store to shop, appose to looking forward seeing a positive person who really enjoys their vocation. I love this Publix and I've never said that about a grocery store. This location is always clean, organized and well-stocked. It's best feature is the staff - they're so helpful and friendly. On two separate occasions, I've had someone not only give advice on how to cook a certain meal, but actually walked me around to help me pick out the ingredients. They have a great hot bar for lunch or dinner, and this might sound crazy, but they have the best chinese food! Also, I'm obsessed with their strawberries topped with mascarpone cheese in the fancy, gourmet preserve and cheese section. read more

University Plantation Publix Deli/sub station workers very preoccupied and inattentive. One actually said she'd be with me shortly while she was moving bread around. She then walked away and wound up helping a person at the hot case who walked up well after me. What is that? I stood there for easily 10 minutes while 5 or 6 deli workers walked around behind the counter doing I'm not sure what. I finally walked out and went somewhere else for lunch. Note to Publix Deli Managers: please train your employees that customers physically standing at the counter take priority over everything else. read more

This is a good Publix. It is big and clean, and they have pretty much anything you could be looking for. Prices are pretty standard nothing great but they do have a lot of good sales especially BOGOs. My one gripe would be that sometimes the employees make it so that it isn't always "a pleasure" shopping there. However, that is the exception, not the rule. Mostly everybody there is great. There are few employees that have been really awesome and I wish I remembered their names to recognize them. There have also been a few instances where employees were very rude, and I know this is not necessarily Publix fault but when they promote that "shopping is a pleasure" and the customer service is top notch, that's what I expect, and it is that way at most Publix. So it's a shame that a few bad apples can bring it down but overall it's still a good Publix and I usually enjoy shopping here read more

This was my go to Publix when I lived in Plantation..... the staff was always beyond helpful and friendly.... until today. My boyfriend went to the liquor store while I took care of check out. I finished checking out and went to the liquor store, which was empty. I asked the clerk if there had been a gentleman buying a large Tito's in the store in the past 5 minutes. Her response was there has been a lot of people in here buying Tito's. I asked the question again adding more detail. Was there a gentleman in a burgundy FSU buying a handle of Tito's in the past 5 minutes? I go to this Publix 2-3 times out the week for their sandwiches which I order ahead on the app which is great since I only have a 30 min lunch. They're on top of the deli choice and for the most part are pretty fresh. I would like a bit more variety since I go so often but it may be only seasonal when they switch it up on the foods. This is my local publix, so I come in here often. Things I generally buy from publix include produce, meat, milk and cream. Other things are much cheaper at walmart. Overall this publix is good. It's clean, most of the employees are helpful, at the deli counter most of the people are friendly. As with any publix in this area, it can get a bit crowded in the evenings and on weekends. In my opinion this publix delivers what you would expect from publix: a good shopping experience. read more

I used to agree with the reviews of the Publix at Peters and Broward Bld,but no longer like it as much. i believe it must have changed managers or something. When it first opened, everyone walked around asking if everything was to our liking, the produce was outstanding, the checkout lines short,etc. Then, months later , everything changed. The last two times, the lines were super long, no one was asking if things were OK and the produce, even though it looked good, was often disappointing ,even when I had asked produce people to pick out something for me. And the goodies at the prepared food counter have gone down in quality too. C'mon, Publix, if you are going to compete with Whole Foods, put your heart into it. I want to come back. This is just an awesome Publix! They have almost everything. The bakery makes me drool, and the selection is great. They have a ton of different kinds of cheeses and a hot bar. When it's crowded it can be difficult to move around, but it is still worth the trip. read more

This Publix does not have the best lay out. The entrances and exits are crowded, and the isles are a bit hap hazard in their law out. What I do like about this place is that there is a small register by the side exit, and the milk is within 40 feet of this register, making for an extremely easy in out for those just in need of mild for their coffee and eggs for their breakfast, but that is not why I come here. This is not my normal super market, I come here to buy supplies for different places, and if I am in the area I will buy dry goods I need for my place. The prices seem cheaper here than back in Miami beach, and I am surprised how slow and constant the customer level remains. There has not been a time I have come here when the place was slammed. The service at all of the counters is quick and polite; the register workers are also good at their jobs. If this place was not 30 miles from my home it would be my go to publix, despite to poor isle lay out. read more

Usually I give this Publix five stars I love this Publix all the employees are so friendly and helpful I also have been bringing my 5-pound service dog with me which she is always in her bag, everybody here knows her name and everything. Then today I came to Publix and I was told by one of the employees looks like a new manager anyhow I was told dogs are not allowed in the cart but everytime I bring her she is in her bag and she is completely not even touching the cart by the way she is a service dog. I think this Publix is fairly new. I walked in and got kind of lost because it's so big. I love it though! It's the only Publix I've seen that has a hot food open bar, and the bakery was pretty expansive as well. I was pretty impressed. I just had the most amazing experience at this Publix! While I shop at Publix often, I make it a point to go to this particular location and I have one right behind my community. I was looking for jalapenos and trying to decide which would be best for a cooking contest that I am in. That is when Jamie approached me and asked if I needed help. I didn't think I really needed help, but I needed someone to make a decision with so many options. I told him I was using it as a garnish and he suggested I use fresh jalapenos not pickled. I agreed and he personally took me over to the produce department and while he was doing so, said I could make a jalapeno flower to plate my dish. He got a knife and cut the jalapenos right there in front of me and told me what to do to make the flower grow. He also had another suggestion for plating which was genius! I immediately called my boyfriend and told him I had met a spectacular person at Publix! Once he realized it was not him, I told him the story and I'm more confident that I can win the competition. I returnef hom, unloaded my groceries and felt so positive about my experience, that I called the store and spoke with the manager who I'm sure is used to dealing with complaints. I have been shopping at Publix for many years and thought this is a good time to register my thoughts about the newest store in Plantation. Open just a few years this store has some goodies you don't regularly find at your local Publix: an artisan cheese shop, gourmet deli with hot self-serve food items and a soup bar, and a custom meat/butcher counter that will prepare any cut of beef while you watch. There is also a cooking school that I'm going to try out soon. Overall the prepared foods at the deli are excellent- I'm addicted to the chicken noodle soup that is as good as any, anywhere. The bisques are great too. Everything I've tried at the deli counter ranges from really good to outstanding. Then there is the store which is very clean. The prices are very good overall (though I buy large supplies of staples at Costco or Amazon.com) and selection also good. The customer service is also excellent. The staff seems to have been meticulously trained to great shoppers at every turn and try to be as helpful as possible. As a health professional, I'm aware of Publix's programs to hire persons with intellectual handicaps who are given a chance to work and be productive. I really enjoy shopping at Publix where they really do live up to their motto. read more
