I haven't bought any of their seafood or meats in the past. I recently saw chicken quarters buy one get one free at $1.99/lb, but once I bought the chicken- the other side of the chicken was not fresh at all. I can see why its on sale. The pork belly that I bought also had a strong smell. Everything else like seasoning, sauces, fruits, vegetables, drinks, cakes have been great. Remember to check the expiration dates!!! This market has items from a range of Japanese, Korean, to....empanadas? It's a large space so I'd give yourself time to explore. The produce section had a good variety although some items didn't seem as fresh as they could be. I got enoki mushrooms which were fine and shiitake. The shiitake didn't look very fresh but when cooked were satisfying. They had a range of frozen dumplings and noodles. The reason I give the market 3 stars not 4 is that I noticed that a packet of organic seaweed had no expiration date. Once opened, they didn't seem very fresh. I'd be a bit discerning when purchasing items here to be on the safe side. read more

We're back! My husband loves this place because they have different flavors of ginger chews at a reasonable price. We live about an hour from this place but it's a fun Sunday drive out. Bought the ginger chews, various dried herbs to make Chinese soup, tangerines, apples, pumelo, different types of candy and snacks, and a pack of frozen roast pork bao buns. Prices are good on some stuff - like fresh chicken wings for $1.99 per pound but not great on other things like spicy ramen ($1.79 vs. $1.29 at Target). So definitely compare prices and shop around. I love that I can get Chinese vegetables and herbs and bean sprouts at such great prices! And such a great selection of condiments at good prices as well. I went in the other day and they had LARGE lobsters for $10.99 a pound. My BF and I decided to go wild and splurge and each get one. Now, they WILL NOT cook them for you, but having grown up in New England, that was not a problem. So i asked for 2 and they were EACH 4 POUNDS! So for $91we had 8 lbs. of lobster to cook. They were so big, and the claws were hard so we had to open them with a hammer. Tails were fine. Now THIS was a lobster worth splurging on ! We steamed them and then ate what we wanted and saved the rest (of which there was quite a bit) for the next day or so. I would definitely buy them again when we can splurge again and at that price. They did have small lobster for $9.99 lb but why bother? Our favorite way to eat lobster is steamed with melted butter - and we were very happy that night! BTW - lobster in New England right now is running $14.99 lb for large lobsters, so we really scored!!!! The cashiers in there are really good and fast and I enjoy going in there. read more

I walked in expecting a basic market and left an hour later with a cart full of goodies I didn't even know I needed. The first thing you notice is how clean and organized the store is the shelves are well stocked, aisles are wide, and the lighting makes everything easy to browse. The snack aisle is dangerously tempting Korean chips, Japanese candies and Thai beers. Just maybe don't go when you're starving. Luckily, I had some noodles before checking this place out. Nice to have an Asian mart like this in Plantation, not like Sunrise (NY Mart) and Davie (MangoTree) are far but having an extra option to get whatever I need is nice. Asian Market in Plantation! I've heard great things about Enson and their variety plus sweet deals so I had to stop by when I was in the area. Admittedly, my friends and I mainly come here for their soju selection since they have a good amount to choose from, along with the fact that they are the cheapest here out of all the places we've seen. I had to pick up some recently for a friend's birthday and I'm glad I finally had an excuses to check this spot out! I am a sucker for Asian Markets and the only other biggest one that gives off the same vibe as this is Kimchi Mart. Enson is a bigger market and has a great variety of things to choose from. There is a hot bar and bakery. The seafood was so fresh that it was still swimming in tanks. The snack aisle was filled with so many choices including my favorite mochi, Hi-Chew, Pocky, Ramune, and fun flavors of chips and cookies. Anyone up for squid chips or barbecue rib and pepper chicken Doritos? There was so much that I wanted to try it was almost overwhelming. The prices and selection of food is incredible and I appreciate that they have self check out which made leaving with my purchases a breeze. People were up front to help out with that too. So many delicious new finds here! I keep going back for their seaweed and chili sauce since I am hooked! We also found the viral mango ice cream which is apparently sold out everywhere else. This place is so neat and clean and I always get something new to try out. I'm so happy it's in the area and wished they served hot foods ready to eat. this is my first time visiting an asian market and i intended to go in for ONE, specific thing and ending up leaving with 10 items! there are sooo many goodies to choose from in here! walking in, this market is very spacious, clean and well-organized. the bright overhead lights and neatly arranged aisles make it really easy to find what you're looking for. this market offers a huge seafood area with rows of frozen foods along with a fresh and vibrant produce section. as you move along the store, there are shelves lined with colorful packages of instant noodles, candies, snacks and more. there is a plethora of condiments and sauces to choose from. the frozen food section is well-maintained with lots of dumplings, spring rolls and bao buns, etc. towards the back there is a longggg row of cold beverages that showcase a wide selection of boba teas, speciality sodas, alcohol and more. you'll be able to find almost anything you're looking for in here. there were no crazy lines when checking out so that made the process quick and easy. the staff is friendly and smiling. overall the market feels welcoming even for an outsider like myself and everything is marked easily to find what you need and/or discover new items. read more

A local market that has Asian specialties that you won't find at a typical American market. They had a huge variety of bottled sauces, oils, and seasonings that any home cook would love. There was a very good variety of fresh produce which some were familiar and some were very interesting looking. The meat department was not very big, and there were limited fresh meats, but there were plenty of frozen fishes and other animal meats. The frozen food department was full of quick to heat side dishes and appetizers as well as some ethnic foods from around the world. Surprised I hadn't reviewed this place, given how much I love shopping here! I recall back last year just anticipating this location to open as at the time I had moved away and didn't have many options near my new place. This place is great! The few markets with Asian based products and items are typically small in size. However, this place is massive inside! There are so many products to look at and there's always shipments coming in here daily! I love how organized the aisles are set up and there's plenty of room so that even at a busy time people have space to walk and shop. Inside there is also a small self-checkout section but even the regular checkout sections get the line moving fast. I'm extremely pleased coming here when it comes to the produce. Typically, I go to Aldi's for basic produce (bananas, apples, cucumbers) however, for things I can't normally find and/or if I'm looking for a better price I head here! I usually buy my plantains here while my husband has bought lychees and dragonfruit here. I also buy my cilantro here as I find you get way more for the price as well as bok choy. It's incredible here. There's plenty of seasonings, hotpot bases, dumplings and noodles to choose from. The seafood department is also located in a large area in the back of the store and always busy! It feels as though there's always something new that gets stocked. Same goes for the snack and candy section. I do recommend that if you find something new you like there's a chance it one day not be in stock for quite some time due to shipment/import delays. This store has fresh/live seafood, meats, veggies, non perishable items. Big selection on several items. Something not seen in Miami. It's like a big asian market, which you will want to take everything and anything from here. There's a weird smell.... so stick to non perishables. Probably the best Asian market around everything here is phenomenal from the prices, to the staff, to the assortment of items they have. Everytime I come here, I find something new to walk out with. The store is very nice lit and bright do you don't need to squint to see anything. The design of this place is wonderful with a multitude of self checkout machines and staff run checkout sections as well. The shelves are always being stocked and the fresh produce area is wonderful with the variety of items they have. I always love buying fruits from here because they're so fresh and half the price compared to other places around! Their lychees are heavenly! I love their snack and candy aisle, here is where I spend most of my time shopping. I always leave with a new flavor of lays chips such as spicy hotpot or even beef wellington. You hear that right! The price for chips are roughly 3 dollars and that's definitely a steal! They have an amazing assortment of frozen dimsum and you can get a nice amount for under twenty bucks! Just like any market that has fresh fish, if you can get past the fish smell, Enson Market is more than a hidden gem. It is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Located in Plantation off Peter's road and housed in the old Lucky's space, this is an Asian/international market with very reasonably priced merchandise. If you have an hour on a weekend, just walk through each isle. Take your time and just take in all the cool stuff. I was most impressed by their live Talapia. There are tanks full. There is also live lobster, huge ones; and, a literal bucket of blue crabs. I was also ultra impressed by their wide variety of both mushrooms and eggplant. And if you are looking for that hard to find veggie, you can probably find it here. THE MEAT is very inexpensive. Didn't see any USD labels, so I'm not sure of the overall quality. Still, there was a pack of 4 New York strip steaks about 1 inch thick for less than $10 total. They also had goat chunks, fresh, not frozen for less than $5 a pound. I was so impressed by this place. I just wish they had kept Lucky's beer selection and the taps. I would have spent way more time on my first visit had I had a beer in my hand. read more

Walking into Enson, we were transported to a time before Covid, when we'd shop at a few Asian markets to get produce that isn't offered at mainstream markets. Within minutes of shopping at Enson, we were smiling because we could buy (and DID!) Yu Choy (one of my favorite greens), jackfruit, several types of radish (I bought Korean radish since I already had Daikon in the fridge), King Oyster mushrooms, Chinese Celery, kohlrabi, green onion, etc. We walked up and down the aisles and saw the food that we used to enjoy. Checking out the expansive frozen section, I was shocked to find some of the same dim sum we'd get in restaurants at a third of the price - or less. Seriously, for $4 a pack we bought sesame seed balls (I put them & a bit of oil in a shallow bowl, shake the bowl and air fry them). We also got $4 packs of steamed buns filled with turnip and veggies (we microwaved them in a steam dish for 2 minutes and they came out soft and fluffy, just like in the restaurants.) The egg custard buns were $2.79/pack and soft after 2 minues in the microwave. I got partially cooked noodles for quick stir-fry dinners, pickled turnip for my homemade sushi rolls, Nishiki sushi rice, and more. The prices of the produce and other goods were great. I think Enson is a wonderful nearby source for pantry items and produce. The people there were very nice - some struggled to speak English so I took the opportunity to struggle to speak to them in Spanish! No matter the language, they were all smiles and helpful. I can't wait to return and get more dim sum. I really like making quick, enjoyable meals using dim sum - who doesn't like to make the meal special, especially when it takes no effort/time/expense? We plan on returning in a couple of days - we are intrigued to try more and buy more! read more

It's finally open! I was very bummed out after Lucky's closed, but when I heard that Enson would be taking its place, it made me feel better. The space was very clean and organized, with large sections for produce, frozen foods, and meat, with the middle isles filled dried goods and snacks. There were plenty of options down every isle, although some isles were partially bare. Great experience overall, and I will definitely be back. I'm disappointed in the people that rated this store poorly because some of the employees don't speak English... this is an Asian supermarket and I hope people go in there with more open minds, and hearts. read more

Who would have thought that this location, which used to be a Whole Foods and then a Lucky, is now an Asian Market? The largest Asian Market in S. Florida one may claim, though the name may not give it away. Shopping here feels like the ghosts of previous tenants are still lingering around. In the same refrigerated case, there's Vital Pasture Raised Eggs at the bottom shelf and the smelly black Thousand Year Old Eggs on top. In the freezer you can find Eggo waffles along with some crepe cakes from China. Planters Peanuts is neighbor with Japanese wasabi peas, Chinese spicy peanuts, and Korean bubble tea flavored almond, along with some dried durian. On another shelf you can find Honest juice, Ensure, Perrier, Fever Tree, Ramune, Suntory non-alcoholic cocktail all within hand's reach. Most Asian markets tend to focus on merchandise from half the world away, but this place seems to aim for one-stop shopping. The seafood and meat depts are quite impressive. Seldom do I see the variety of fishes I can find here. They even have geoduck! Seems like they are still trying to stock the shelves, some of them look a bit empty, but I am sure in a month or two the assortment of products will get even more impressive!! I do have some complains though. We saw some hoisin sauce with a sign 3 for $9.99. As there's no smaller print that says how much one would be, we thought it would be $3.33. At least that's how it works at Whole Foods or other places, you don't have to buy three to get that price. Well, it rang up more, and the staff was mostly unhelpful in fixing this and totally disinterested in my suggestion that they should replace the sign. When we got home, we found a few other items that were more than we expected, because the signs were not accurate. Sure makes me less enthusiastic about shopping there again. It's clean. The shopping cart doesn't look like World War two relics, and the number of various products is incredible. I'm not sure they have even finished stocking the store. There are still a few areas that are completely empty. What they do have looks really good. The produce had lots of variety, and it looked fantastic. So did the meat and the fresh seafood. Not only do they have just about any Asia product you could think of, but they also have a nice inventory of USA products on the shelves. Live as well as already processed fresh fish. They have a range of products from Korea ,Japan, and China. I found this place by accident and spent over an hour here. It's the old Lucky's grocery store, so there's lots of room for their generous variety of produce, meats and bakery. The aisles are wide so that 2 carts fit side by side instead of being squashed like New York Mart. This place is also significantly cleaner than New York Mart. Staff is nice and helpful. read more
