Bought grocery items here before and it's not my weekly goto Publix, but since in the area I stopped in to check out the holiday decorative stuff. Parking was simple and purchased FL Lotto tickets at the customer service counter. The clerk was polite and quick. Nicely organized pastry tables offering the red, white and blue holiday cupcakes for $5.00 for six. So tempting to buy it but the wife does not have the same sweet tooth as me or the same massive daily calorie intake of non-healthy treats. read more

Nothing to think of that comes to mind in terms of making this review anything less than 5 stars thankfully! The staff here is always friendly and there is more than enough of them when it comes to the checkout lines, stocking items or the deli. I have luckily never had to wait long when it come to getting my deli order or bakery order because there is always a surplus of workers! They are also very friendly and happy to assist me when I am looking at items on the shelves. The location is easy to navigate and there is enough room to go around people that may be in the same aisle I am walking down or shopping in while I am here. I will say that the layout is very interesting and wouldn't be my choice of design but this is a smaller Publix so it makes sense that is how it was designed. I love that this place is always clean and I have never had a problem with any old or expired products when I am buying them. This Publix is my home store, and I've been shopping here for years with nothing but positive experiences. The deli food is always fresh and hot, and the customer service has consistently been excellent. I love the bogo's. There's always something good on sale. The staff knows me and my kids by face, and we're always greeted with a smile, which really makes a difference. The store is always clean, well-organized, and anytime I ask for help, an employee doesn't just point me in the right direction they actually walk me to the item with a friendly attitude. I also love the free cookies for the kids; it's a small touch that goes a long way. The only minor downside is that the customer service desk can occasionally be a bit understaffed, but overall this Publix continues to set the standard for quality and customer care. A very clean and recently renovated Publix, this is my location that I will go to because of the proximity to where I live as well as the fact that they always have everything I need and the workers are always happy when I am here! When I am here I like to see the items they have right when you walk in because they always have some great BOGO things and with the holidays coming up, the fact cooking and baking stuff is on sale is great for me! The items are always stocked as well as the prices are decent. Not much to say when it comes to the location other then what I said in my previous review of the place. The staff is very friendly here, I like the smaller footprint of the store ad the location is just steps from where I live. That's about all the good things I can say about this location. I'm not sure what they are doing here, but the meat and produce are always bad. There is visible rotten fruit on the shelves and the meat is sometimes discolored. In fact, I bought a pack of chicken and when I opened the package the same day of purchase, it smelled spoiled. I've also bought some products, only to get home and realize it was all expired by a few months. read more

This review is for the Publix on University and Peters road. This has been my Publix for several decades. Lately I've had issues. I had bought the Publix brie cheese and it was rotten. I went back and opened other packages of the same and they were all rotten. The Publix brie cheese in different packages were all rotten as well. I had told the manager of the store on three separate occasions that all the Publix brie was rotten and they did nothing about it. I will not buy Publix brie cheese anymore. They advertise Passover food but when you go to the store they have nothing more than what they usually do. They don't even have macaroons. They go all out for Easter but they do nothing for the Jews. This is not acceptable. I went to another Publix and got what I needed. Every time I have asked for a product they don't get it. I may just switch my Publix and go the farther Publix because this one doesn't care. Just another customer, so what! read more

I miss Publix, so it's a given whenever I'm back in south Florida! They say it's where shopping is a pleasure, and I tend to agree, but for me it's all about the deli, subs, and fried chicken! You can't go wrong with board head meat at Publix. Heck. You can't go wrong with the Publix brand meats either! I get them as a signature sub, made fresh before your eyes and stuffed with goodness. The Publix sub rolls are the perfect blend of a chewy exterior and soft pillow inside. I always go for the ultimate sub with ham, Turkey, roast beef and Swiss. Combo of Mayo, deli brown mustard and honey mustard goes down in the roll, then the meat and cheese, then all fresh veggies. Can't forget the oil, vinegar and seasoning, then wrap it, cut it and mow it down! Publix fried chicken is made in Heaven. So crispy and flaky and juicy, I like mine with honey and hot sauce! Then chicken tenders. These are great fresh, but skip em if you aren't gonna enjoy them right away. Last but not least, Publix has some crazy bogo deals. We scored pringles 4/$6, cookies bogo and more, all perfect for the plane! Oh yeah. Make sure to stop by the bakery too. Those sugar cookies are simply sinful! read more

This location is SMALL like extremely small!! The meat department is lacking variety and freshness for meats. Produce section had many selections of fruits and veggies everything seems fresh. Bakery is super clean and the breads are super soft and fresh!! read more

This review is strictly for the pharmacy. Went in for a prescription to be filled and also asked for a flu shot. Both were accommodated in a very reasonable amount of time. There was only one pharmacist so he was juggling flu shots, filling already phoned in prescriptions and filling new ones while also unpacking medicine not sold behind the counter. The pharmacist was busy but friendly at the same time. I have been in later in the day before and it seems to get backed up as the day goes on. Bet option is to get in and out before 10:30am and the wait should be minimal. I received my flu shot with no pain and got the Publix $10 shopping card which I used on some medicine and was happily on my way. Thanks for making it so pain free...the whole visit! read more

The deli is by far one of the slowest and worst you could stop into! I used to come here 8 years ago and it was whack then, still is. Ladies frowning looking like she's about to die move no the slicer like an 80 year old grandpa who's never used a slicer. They were serving customer 32 and my number was 90. Not an efficient deli. To top it off they didn't have any rye bread in the bakery! Icing in the cake. Now I go try at another Publix. It's also amazing how these stores demographics have such an effect on the experience! This is usually my go-to Publix shop for a few reasons. 1. The women at the sandwich area always crack me up. They are friendly and like to joke around. 2. The location is smaller than normal so it's easy to get through. 3. I have ordered many cakes from their bakery for coworkers and they have all been amazing. The bakery experience is always great here for me. I can have a cake ready in less than 24hrs. The parking here can truly be horrible if you go at lunch or directly after work. You might as well walk there. They will only have one register open sometimes so waiting in line becomes something you must get used to. Being smaller, the selection isn't that vast, but if you need your standard grocery items this is your place. Recently I was there listening to employees complain about their new schedules the entire time I was being checked out. As the disgruntled employee moaned I watched her literally throwing my items in the bad which I thought was very rude considering they were things that could have been broken. Deli review: Your online orders are never ready on-time (like EVER) and then you run around the store like a chicken with your head cut off because workers keep passing you off to one another. No one wants to take accountability. A worker even blamed another customer, telling me they took my online order. Then he just stares at me and didn't offer a solution... This publix is probably the worst one out there. They have awkwardly arranged isles, things are not stocked in an organized fashion- even when asking employees with help locating something, it takes them a while to find it and they usually comment on how odd their store arrangement is. They have limited items, and sometimes do not have what i'm looking for. Last week i ran in to get cilantro. None! Another time i went in for a jalepeno pepper- none either. The pharmacy is one of the best I have ever been to... they care The pharmacist was kind and understanding that I didn't have insurance and was patient giving me the prices of my medicine prior to filling them. The deli at this Publix is horrible. Every time I go they suggest I order online to save time and the past few times I have ordered online the order wasn't ready by the time they said it would be. In fact, every time the order wasn't even acknowledged or started when I showed up. All they can do is muster up a pathetic apology. One they told me order was just sent to the store 30 minutes after I placed the order. If you can't get you act together don't take online ordering. Beyond the deli, the cashiers are usually old and slow. They never have enough lines open and all the managers just stand around with blank stares on their face. The selection is measly at best, and they are usually out of most common items. If you can avoid this Publix, I suggest you do so at all costs. read more

Okay, I've been shopping at this Publix for 2 years now and my opinion has changed a little. This is 1 of 3 Publix all within a short distance of my house. I've found that I prefer the big Publix on Peters and University but that the "little Publix" as my family calls it, is not that bad. While the selection is not as vast, it's great for the basics and you can get in and out quickly. I come here at least 2x a week. The staff was declining for awhile- rude and barely spoke any English. I'm in Plantation not Hialeah right?! However, I've noticed an improvement lately with friendly, English speaking cashiers. This place is tiny! But I'll admit that it's a very convenient location. I never had issues finding my kitchen staples here, but I do wish they had a wider selection of fresh produce to choose from. Like what others have said, if you need to find a special item that isn't onions, garlic, tomatoes, lettuce...then you might want to find a larger Publix store. The aisles are kept really clean and organized, even during holiday rushes. There's always a worker near by if you need any assistance with finding items. Sometimes their cashiers get bogged down by crazy coupon ladies, but I don't blame them. How fast would you be able to scan and bag items when you have 50+ coupons to scan for only 15 items (sigh, but that's a different issue altogether...crazy...coupon...ladies). read more
