Ran into Publix at Cane Bay for some goodies as it was starting to rain. I wasn't the only one with this thought as the store was packed. I Was in need of a bathroom before I started shopping and it was right by the door. When I walked into the handicap stall I was impressed that there was a sink in the stall as well. Never seen this before and must say very well thought out for someone with a disability. The bathroom was pretty clean for how busy the store was. It had a door with a latch that worked and was well lit. There was plenty of toilet paper at the time so that wasn't an issue. This store is so busy that you may feel rushed. All in all if you plan on being quick this is a perfectly acceptable bathroom.

Father of Karter Dennis. So proud of my boy, he has grown so much since this picture. Extremely helpful and friendly to customers.

So proud of my son, now an employee at this Publix establishment. Absolutely amazed at how much he has matured since this picture.

Stood in line for 10 minutes in the pharmacy pickup line only to have some idiot be taken ahead of me in the prepay line. This is a stupid system and disrespectful to your customers.

Publix Super Market at The Market at Cane Bay on State Road in Summerville is a great place to shop for groceries and more. I really like the location and the level of customer service that they have here. I have had a really good shopping experience every time I have been here.

    Chicken wings that are old

This review is for the deli only. Been living here for 12 years visiting this store and getting food from the deli sometimes but since COVID they don't have enough staff to handle the customers and I called in an order for chicken wings 40 minutes in advance so I could just pick them up. When I got there they were not ready had to wait an additional 15 minutes. Got these chicken wings and they were old and rubbery so needless to say that I won't be coming back. I don't recommend their deli or order service until they can improve things.

I love how everyone is so friendly and they do what they can for the customers, publix fried chicken is amazing. You need to get it early because sometimes it's a hour wait that's how good it is.

Selling 2 days past sell by date. Not so fresh...

It is…read morethe oldest pharmacy in South Carolina as well as the oldest continuously-operating business in Summerville. It was founded by Dr. Henry Charles Guerin. The roots of the pharmacy go back decades earlier. Dr. C.F. Schwettmann owned a drugstore in Charleston, but it was damaged by cannon fire during the Civil War. He set up a new drugstore in Summerville in 1864. In 1871, Guerin (a former Confederate soldier and graduate of the Medical College of South Carolina) purchased the pharmacy and Schwettmann returned to Charleston. After Guerin passed away, the pharmacy was taken over by his son Dr. Joseph C. Guerin. The younger Guerin's colleague Dr. Herbert F. Dunning later purchased the pharmacy. Since 2014, the owner of Guerin's Pharmacy has been Dunning's grand niece Barbara A. Dunning, RPh. My family and I visited Guerin's Pharmacy this past summer while we were visiting family in town. Our cousins told us to check out a really cool old pharmacy in Hutchinson Square. We had no idea that pharmacies like this still existed; we had only seen ones like this in the movies. In addition to a pharmacy, Guerin's also essentially doubles as a general store where customers can purchase souvenirs, postcards, books, t-shirts, etc. Guerin's is also home to a soda fountain, which were popular in drugstores during the first half of the 20th century but rarely seen today. Customers can get Blue Bell brand ice cream, milkshakes, malts, floats, fountain sodas, hotdogs (with or without chili), pickles, or a number of different treats from the candy counter. My wife and I shared a cup of "Mint Chocolate Chip" ice cream while our sons shared a cup of "Cookies 'n Cream". My wife also enjoyed a strawberry milkshake while I had a bottle of Cheerwine. It was so cool to step back in time at Guerin's Pharmacy! We'll definitely visit again on a future trip to Summerville.

Nothing! Long story short a second employee comes and doublecheck the box and all the surrounding boxes, still nothing and this time they both go to the back. One guy waiting behind me and about 12 or 13 minutes later one comes back and looks again in the circled area with a little more systematically and orderly approach, Nothing! If you live in the Oakbrook or Ladson area of Summerville, this Walgreens at the corner of Ladson…read moreand Dorchester is easily one of the most well-run pharmacies in the Lowcountry. While pharmacy visits can often be a source of stress, the team at this location consistently goes above and beyond to make the experience seamless. The Pharmacy Experience The pharmacy staff here are the true stars. Even during peak hours, they remain professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I've had several instances where my insurance had a hiccup or a prescription needed a quick clarification from my doctor, and the pharmacists worked tirelessly to resolve it while I waited. Drive-Thru Efficiency: The drive-thru window is a lifesaver for parents with kids in the car or when you're just not feeling well. They move the line quickly without making you feel rushed. Proactive Communication: The text alerts for refills are always accurate, and I rarely ever find that my medication isn't ready when they say it will be. Store Layout & Essentials Beyond the pharmacy, the retail side is always clean and exceptionally organized. One-Stop Shop: It's my go-to for high-quality beauty supplies, seasonal decor, and those last-minute "forgotten" grocery items like milk or eggs. Photo Department: I've used their photo lab for everything from passport photos to holiday cards, and the quality is consistently high with a very fast turnaround time. FedEx Convenience: Having the FedEx Drop-off and Pickup here is a huge bonus. You can print labels from a QR code and drop off packages while you're already running errands. Customer Service What really sets this location apart is the "small-town" feel in a busy area. The front-end staff usually recognizes regulars and always greets you with a smile. It's clear that management prioritizes customer care, which makes a big difference in the overall vibe of the store. Pro Tips for This Location Pharmacy Lunch Break: Just a reminder that the pharmacy usually closes for a meal break (typically 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM), so plan your pickup around that! Walgreens App: Use the app to "clip" coupons before you go--I've saved a ton on vitamins and household cleaners just by scanning my phone at checkout.

That said I'm not sure how many people actually shop at CVS. Because what I've noticed is CVS nationwide have on average a 8% increase in pricing over everywhere else. I believe the reason is because of not buying in bulk. I don't think I'm leaking any secrets here as that's just what I've observed. As for this facility it really does need some TCL as the last time I went there at around 2pm the carpets had trash all over the place. Most of the shelves were stocked but the products in the fridge and freezer where sparse as if no one restocked them in ages. One thing I have noticed is CVS gets in interesting holiday supplies like Danish cookies for Xmas. I never seen these cookies anywhere else so that is worth remembering. As for the pharmacy they're an enigma. I've pulled up in the drive through at 9am when the open yet they didn't open the big metal divider inside until 9:15. Also the orders are slower being filled than I've experienced in other states. Generally, if I call an order can be filled within 2-3 hours however this facility it's more along the lines of 5-6. That said, the staff are nice and willing to help out where they can. CVS is a place where many of us get our medications filled and as far as that aspect, they're about average speed, maybe a smidge under but with a nice staff. Inside the store portion of the freestanding unit, prices aren't competitive and I would pass on anything that needs refrigeration. They need a good and consistent cleaning as it's a bit dirty. As for me since the pharmacy is right around the corner, I find them capable of fulfilling my order so I'll be back.

A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. This brings me to Target in Summerville, SC. Located in a safe albeit busy part of town this place will have, almost anything you need since it's a Super Target. They're aren't many people walking around so if you need something be prepared to "hunt." Finally the place is always clean and stocked so that's a huge bonus. As for the food, it has what one has come to expect from Target, average products at a low cost however when it comes to fruit and veggies, the supply is always needs a lot of washing. The baked and homemade food items are average but better than that other "blue" store! I've also found they're limited in toys as I tried to purchase some items for my kids but they only have the absolute most popular items. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you won't find it here, or at least anything new. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is limited, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Target as it's the cheapest. Overall, Target is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Other than those items, it's Target so you already know what you want.
