Honesty Hour! This is THE CLEANEST Wayfield I have ever been to in all my years! This store is nestled at the end of the shopping plaza but is really the only defining reason to go to the plaza. Upon walking in I was surprised at how clean the store is and how open the floor plan is. Great Job, Management. Wayfield will always be the Meat Gem of grocery stores as their 5 for $24.99 is unmatched when it comes to Grocery Retailers. As such, it was time for some meats, I was in the area, thus I landed here. Along with the clean store and open floor plan (as most Wayfields are usually super crowded) the selection was awesome. Everything was in stock. The meats presented pretty cuts, and best of all, there wasn't any kind of odors coming from the meat department. Along with getting my 5 for $24.99, I stocked up on a few seasonings. I was surprised at the pricing for the bottles of seasonings in relation to how big they are. I had to grab a few. Lastly, my checkout process was quick and simple. There were multiple lines open. The cashier was very friendly. As was the security guard by the front door. Several people have mentioned to me that this particular Wayfield has a great selection of seafood and that the prices were good. Although it's quite a distance from my home, I wouldn't mind returning. The store was very clean and organized. The cleanliness stood out because none of the Wayfield locations that I've previously visited can compare. The prices were very reasonable. I purchased snow crab legs for $6.99 a pound and a 2 pound bag of colossal Argentinean red shrimp for $14.99. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cons: The produce was a little iffy and they were out of the all flat wings that Wayfield typically carries. read more

I ran over here this morning to find some oxtails for Thanksgiving. The store had some but for $40 a pack it was a no go. I decided to but some roast beef. Voila even better. It was a pretty good selection with some nice cuts at a reasonable price. Normally i for to this store for seafood. I been sleeping in their sea food selection for years. DUNGENESS Crab was 10.99 a pound which equals two clusters. Grabbed some deveined shrimp less than $4 for 6 big shrimp. Yes I'm being petty because I'm making my own personal crab boil. Headed over to the produce section and licked up my shredded collars greens and I saw some beautiful heads of broccoli already trimmed. They were also fairly cheap. I also go to Way field to find things I cannot find I other name chains like Publix Walmart or Kroger. I found Pina colida Fanta soda. You can't find that nowhere else. I grabbed me some reasonably priced wine and found some Milo's Sweet Tea/Lemonade. Again you won't find that anywhere else. Seasonings yes they have everything and then some. If you like Badia they have it. Aluminium pans are $1. Why should I spend $3 and up ler pan at other stores Not me. Wayfield has everything you may need in an urban community. The parking is ample. The lines move fast with actual cashiers manning the registers. That makes whole difference. Also, I took a chance on shopping right before the NYE holiday. I found everything that I needed & grabbed last minute "cheap wine". No shame in my game. It was a tasty Passionfruit Moscato for $15. I cooked black eyed peas, rice, cornbread and greens. I found every single item at an affordable price. Salted fat back for grease/seasoning. Frozen mustard & collards. Pre-bagged, but my only complaint is they didn't sort & bad brown stems & leaves. I will continue to shop at Wayfield bcos it's a neighborhood staple. You can't go in there looking for fancy things like Publix. The meat section is impressive though! read more

I went in for stem crab legs and OMG that team in the seafood department really knows how to season those crabs The store seems to be in need of a good cleaning and decontamination as when I walked in it wasn't the freshest aroma and the floor definitely need a good cleaning!! read more

In this world of Publix, Kroger and Whole Foods, I'm always a little shocked when the Wayfield sales papers somehow show up in my mailbox. In an effort to get started early on my Thanksgiving food shopping, I stopped in this location for a few items I saw in their circular. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and organized this location was. Overall, they have much better pricing than the big box grocers, and they take coupons. I don't know why I don't grocery shop here more. If they doubled my coupons, I probably would think of them more option. They had some meat specials where you could buy like 5 different kinds of meats for $20. I passed on that, but will maybe look into it again. read more

Wayfield is one of the best grocery stores Ive seen since living in Atlanta.The problem I had Friday was with an unhinged cashier whom felt the need to feel some type of way about my husband.Maybe that Alpha energy was too strong for you or you didn't like his attire...who cares!!If you are that miserable working as a cashier find a new career!! You were so angry bagging groceries and just started slanging my stuff off the conveyer when we chose not to bag for you.....Cool we Gave YOU a pass! This place gets four stars because it is super convenient to run in for needed items. I don't grocery shop here for all my needs but this is my go to spot when I need to get something quickly. I'd say a lot of times that their produce is actually better than Walmart's, and they have a pretty good selection of everything for a smaller grocery store. I'd definitely recommend checking this neighborhood market out if you are passing by and need something! read more

In reference to the white store manager standing at the entrance I have nothing but praise for this individual if I can't find an item he has been more than happy to walk me to the location and even go check his inventory and issue a rain check, where as the other big box store employees tell you or rather guess at the aisle and leave you to find it on your own. One of the best places to shop for meat and produce. I really appreciate the freshness of the food and not to mention it is a flourishing Black Owned Business. The best place in the A to get your baby back ribs or really any meats. They are cut in house (unlike publix and kroger) and the meat staff will help you find particular cuts too. They have affordable prices, red meats that are not previously frozen and this is the place I go for the following: Pork Ribs - country style or baby back Pork chops Pork or beef roasts Steaks - ny strip, ribeye, loin cuts, etc. (don't go here for filet mignon or your fancy pants cuts - use your brain and go to the farmers market/whole foods/etc if that's what your evening calls for) Wild Caught Salmon - they have it at amazing prices $10-12/lb, who knew? Whole chicken (honestly the best deal is down the street at the El Progresso meat counter on Vesta Ave down the road, but this place is good too) Any smoked pork product (hocks is all I get, but anywho) Go there for meat - NOT for produce. For this to be not a very clean store with limited options, the prices are as high as Publix. It smells awful inside and the "fresh" fruits and veggies are far from it. However, they work in a pinch and never have long lines. The cashiers are generally friendly and don't look ready to quit and never return. I went to wayfield on Headline dr. and they are always out of somethings that they have on sale. How do you be out of something on sale the next day the sale started. I went to get some center cut Pork chops, that they had on sale for 1.99 a pound. When I got there, I noticed that there where no meat out on shelves, and someone was working on it. I ask a person that work in the meat department and he told me to get some pick 5. I want center cut pork chop. I ask the man to got to back and get me a pack, got an excuse, I ask the manger to get me a pack from the back, got another excuse. A good manger, have to be creative when things happen. Because the freezer went out, that do not mean that people still have not driven, took their time to come to the store to get something. A creative manager, would have a small amount of the product in reasonable reach to get for the customers instead of saying, you got to come back. Because the freeze went out do not mean, you got to stop selling meat the people drive to the store to get. You got a freezer in the back, where did you do with the meat you took from the shelves. read more

This place is my local market. It isn't fancy, but they have everything I need and Red Rock Ginger Ale. Oops forgot something on the mammoth run to Costco? Heck I'll run to the Wayfield and be back in 4 minutes. The cashiers are quick and boom back on the road home. Personally I'd shop here more, but for quick forgets it gets the job done. read more

Very clean and Friendly staff. They always greet you when you walk in the door. Good selections and have some awesome sales. The meats are the best ever bought anything there I was not 100% satisfied. The produce is always fresh. It would be worth your time and trouble to swing by and try them out!!! read more

I went to Wayfield Foods on Headland Drive in East Point, GA on 11-17-16 and purchased a pack of Turkey Wings the expiration date 11-21-16. I get home and there is a horrible smell - it is the wings. The wings are spoiled. This makes me wonder if the wings were old and they put another sticker on it to reflect a more current date. Please check your meats thoroughly when buying from this store. I'll be taking this meat back for a full refund. Just such an inconvenience to have to burn my gas, etc. to go back but I refuse to loose my money on a spoiled product. read more

Ridiculously high prices on everything. Everything 'store brand' that I've tried from this is just awful. The cashiers could basically care less about what they're doing because they are too busy socializing with their co-workers. About 85% of the time I walk out of this store irritated & feeling like I've just been ripped off. read more
