As far as I'm concerned, having shopped at many Publix supermarkets all over Southern Florida, there's only one reason to shop at Publix, and that's their Subs, known locally as the "Pub Sub". Publix Sub Sandwiches are hands down the best sub sandwiches to be found anywhere there's a Publix, and that includes you, Jersey Mike's. For taste, quality, and value, the Pub Sub is hands down the best in their class. Don't just take my word for it. It's pretty well known among all Floridian sub aficionados. Unfortunately, their subs are the only thing worth going to Publix for. Here's why: 1. Their prices. Just about everything on their shelves is priced higher than the same item at Aldi's, Walmart, Key Foods, or Winn-Dixie, just to name a few. 2. Their produce. I passed on a sad looking wilted, bunch of celery at Publix for$2.75, and went to Aldi's and bought a larger, fresh, bright green bunch for 0.95. 3. Their rain check policy. They advertised a BOGO for roasted red peppers but they were not in stock. So I got a rain check. I kept returning, week after week for those peppers, but they never were in stock. When they finally appeared on the shelf, I went with them to the cashier and was told "Sorry. Your rain check has expired." I said "What? They've been out of stock for weeks. They finally just got back on the shelf." I spoke to the manager, explained the situation, and he still refused to honor the rain check, saying only "Rain Checks have an expiration date." 4. Disappointing BOGOs. Their weekly ad advertised "Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce Buy One Get One." I got to the cashier with two Sweet Baby Ray's No Sugar Added Original and she said "No. That one is not a BOGO". When I pointed out that the ad didn't mention any exceptions, I was still refused a BOGO. That pretty much ended any reason for me to pay a visit to Publix, for all the reasons mentioned above. For anything, that is, except their Subs. read more

This Publix is always out of everything. Went today to get a fresh turkey.... none on the shelf. Wanted publix ground sauage, only hot sauage ; no Italian or sweet. Forget about anying that is BOGO or on sale. Produce is rotten. Explains why the checkout people are always just milling around with nothing to do. Been to Publix throughout the state and this one is just sad! read more

Sorry for this (1) star, but my last visit to PUBLIX was very disappointed one, when to the Deli usually the best department previous experiences at the location, some "Lady" the name Lisa, I believe at the deli should be having a really bad day, and her interaction with me was and quote ' What you want now ' or 'Now what' and body language was more from a Correctional facility or Military training camp, not want she got in troubles but at least management give her some customer interaction training !!! read more

Awful Cake! I ordered a cake from Publix on Hancock and Pine Island; it took talking to 3 different people for them to get the cake order correct. Nothing extravagant; I ordered a marble cake, buttercream frosting and cookies 'n cream between the layers of cake. We cut the cake and it was vanilla with a few splotches of chocolate. They put a thick layer of buttercream frosting on top, a thick layer of buttercream frosting between the layers of cake and cookies 'n cream on top of the buttercream between the layers. Basically it was buttercream frosting and cookies 'n cream and very little cake. They've changed their buttercream frosting; it tasted like lard and sugar. The cookie's and cream was supposed to be cookies and cream mousse and it was basically a layer of whipping cream -- no taste of cookies at all. We all took a few bites, and threw the rest in the garbage. It was pretty awful. I've ordered cakes from the Publix bakery for years, not anymore. I'll make my own or find another bakery. read more

I am a regular customer at this PUBLIX . I would like to express my profound appreciation to Izzy, Produce Department Employee. In this ERA where customer service is almost non existing, it is comforting to find and employee that not only cares to keep the products ready for display, he also CARES to assist customers in every possible way. Izzy is knowledgeable, friendly and respectful. Publix is fortunate to have him, an employee who has the, now rare practice, to care to help customers with a smile. read more

P S M is my favorite supermarket chain in Florida. This store is a well stocked, clean, and with a great bakery. Larger than some of their other stores, it easy to get in and out so you can go on with the rest of your day. read more

I haven't met a Publix I didn't like and this one fits right in with the rest of them! Very neat aisles and shelving. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bakery department is top-notch. This is what you expect when you enter a Publix! read more

One of the smaller stores, very helpful and friendly employees. I want to comment on the pharmacy. It's very good. Punctual, Helpful. Timely. The CVS we originally set up with was a Poo-Show! Never answered the phone, long lines, short staffed! Switched to this location and have been very happy. My spouse uses the DelPrado/Kismet location, and has been very satisfied . I moved from Rochester, NY, and Publix is no Wegmans. But they are close. My only complaint about Publix is they don't really have a "need to get a gift" section. You can find greeting cards, candles, balloons, flowers and chocolates. Pool floats, cover ups, fishing gear, and drink bottles. But no "here's a cute gift for my co-worker" options. Publix could do better, all around. Still my go to store. read more

Normally Publix is our go to place for "fast food" (try to stay away from the Fast Food Chain Restaurants) but my latest order has me nervous things are going down hill, or it was a really bad batch of deli makers that day. I get home and open my sandwich, and looks like my kids made it. Wrong bread, no sauce, and minimal meat (Compared to other times) and not toasted. (It was an online order) On another note: My son picked up the Mardi Gras wings, those were excellent! read more

Ordered a sub off the website. You would think it's clear as day what I ordered is on the piece of paper in front of them. Ordered a deluxe sub. Bologna, salami, ham. All I got was ham. Not sure where the mix up was. Simple instructions. They should know what comes on a deluxe. read more

Good evening, I have shopped at this Publix for the last 20 years . I love it , the staff is helpful , friendly and until today I have never had a complaint. I was at the store around 6:15 I finished all my shopping and headed over to the deli. Surprised there wasn't a line Of people . I asked the woman standing at the slicer for a pound of the Chicken on Special. She pointed to the new precut display and told me to get it from there. First off I had looked over there and yes there were half pound packages not cut to my desired thickness and I was was told to take as many as I need. My mouth must have hit the floor thankfully I had a mask on . If I wanted several packages I would have not asked for a pound. She basically refused to serve me. There was a young man stocking the ice tea , he had a really shocked looked in his eyes. I appreciate all the new renovations to the store but , while the customer isn't always right, they do spend the money to keep you open . I will for now visit another area Publix willing to serve with a smile in their voice. read more

I'm reviewing this publix because I want to single out the meat dept. I have been multiple times and to multiple publix and this is the ONLY one that has offered, without hesitation, to go out of their way to cut me a three inch porterhouse. I go every time specifically for that. They are extremely kind and I appreciate what they do. The other publix in the area have actually told me no multiple times. (About cutting me a specific cut) particularly the one on summerlin and colonial, and Santa Barbara and Veterans. I wish they were all like this one! Great job Frank and your team! I wish frank were here today, the meat dept had a very rude manager working. So i reduced my stars to 4 until the kind friendly manager comes back. read more

Found this super market super friendly on Christmas Eve. While vacationing in the region, I was shopping for steaks and the managers handed me a free pumpkin pie on the way out! Also loved fact this store carries Boars Head deli meats. read more

I've shopped at this Publix for about 4 years and my complaints are very few when it comes to service and stock. That being said, per your Covid-19 FAQ, you have stipulated "As of July 21, 2020, face coverings are required for customers at all Publix locations. Throughout this pandemic, we've implemented a number of process changes in our stores to safeguard the health and well-being of the communities we serve." However, I have seen repeated instances at the Publix of Cape Coral of 1) employees not wearing masks properly and stocking shelves, cleaning carts, or walking around the store with their noses exposed or mask partially down and 2) MANY people shopping without masks on their faces (or around their necks) with no comment from employees or management that they need to put a mask on. If your stores are not going to enforce the policy you have posted on the front doors then they should simply take it down and not advertise themselves as an organization attempting to promote the safety and well-being of the community it serves. read more

He called to let me know he could and that he'd call again when it came in which he did. He had it waiting for me at the customer service desk which he was manning. Went into this Publix today to get a couple sub sandwiches. They do make the best sandwich, and his isn't the reason for two stars. When we approached the deli to have ours made, the girl there asked for back up as she was making a large phone in order. The person who came to help was the assistant deli manager names Nancy. They two of them proceeded to talk about another woman working there, saying that she will never work a Sunday again, and she can cry herself all the way to corporate etc. Nancy then proceeded to yell for a very nice boy named Zach to come help. Zach proceeded to come over happily, while Nancy said and and quit blabber mouthing over there. I was shocked that a manager of all people would stand there and talk about her employees to another employee IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS none the less. This made is super awkward for us standing there. While we were eating out subs we decided to talk to the store manager. He was out, but the assistant store manager didn't seem too surprised about her actions. She apologized and said she would tell the store manager. I wish I had confronted Nancy myself. read more
