Nothing better than getting harassed and singled out everytime you go to the store. Everytime I go and use the self check out by the grocery side of the store | get harassed by the same woman and told to empty my bags and she wants to look at my phone and pretty much search me when I go though self checkout. Doesn't matter is a get one item or dozens and it doesn't matter if it busy she always finds "me" and harasses me. Really getting tired of the treatment I have been receiving from this Walmart. Tried adding funds to my disabled sister's Walmart card, and apparently that's impossible unless the cardholder magically appears in person. I showed ID, cash, my sister's ID, and followed every step of the internal "policy," yet staff refused anyway. The Store Manager, Cameron, was nowhere to be found--because leadership clearly means hiding while customers struggle. If you shop here DO NOT use scan and go! There is a lady at the self checkout that will check out your bags after you are done checking out and accuse you of scanning things wrong. My daughter was buying a 2 pc dress set and she acted like it was supposed to be separate even though the tag clearly said "set" on the tag. This isn't the first time she has checked every single item that we purchased. Even when we were not flagged for a item check, i feel like she profiled and picks on us! I don't hang around to see if she does it to other scan and go customers, but this embarrassed my daughter to the point she had tears in her eyes. I posted photos with my review and i don't know her name, as she wears her badge backwards. If I pay a premium for a service and go to a area that scan and go may not be commonly used, ot isn't our fault and cause for embarrassment that makes checkout take longer than it should just because I'm different. Anyway, she didn't find anything wrong with our purchase, just wasted our time and made my daughter have more social anxiety than called for . I only shop here to begin with because it is beside Sam's club. After this, i don't want to come back here again! Last time she accused me of not paying for a printer that she wouldn't even look at my receipt for. I use scan and go so i only have digital Reciepts, but she had to call someone else and then they told her i had the Reciepts and then she apologized, but why should she feel the need to do this, i told her and she wouldn't listen to begin with! :( read more

Stay away from oil change center, they don't know what there doing , they zip tied my bottom, said they couldn't screw it in. I had to do it my self at home, it was hanging to the floor. Never oil change there, they claimed screw was spinning,false , I will sue read more

Stopped in for the Macs Crackling pork rinds. I got addicted to these while visiting friends in the area and could not leave for home without these. The store is like any other Walmart however it didn't seem so crowded and that things were spaced out a bit better offering a better checkout experience. Self checkout was actually clean and it was a breeze for getting in and out. read more

I can't stand this store. Unfortunately it is the closest Walmart to me, but I only go here if I have tried everywhere else first. It always looks like someone has ransacked it and everyone that works here is pretty rude. Maybe because most of the customers are also pretty rude. The parking lot is usually a nightmare as well. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it has the better Hispanic section of any grocery store in the area. Which is usually why I go here. I try to save up anything I need to get from here in a less than once a month visit as it is that painful to me to come here. read more

I like this location as they have guns and ammo far better stock than Dacula or other walmarts around. Have purchased a lot of ammo here and picked up a few shotguns and gear for hiking and sporting. Seems to have best selection around. This is also walmart. Have seen some wild people here and questioned safety- but seems to be in line with others .Well laid out, easy self check out (other than weapons) and produce and fruit is quite good quality. Never bought steaks here- seems high so stick with Kroger but will continue to come here when in Oakwood but now more often than going elsewhere. Did also get a great deal on a 55" smart TV a few months ago and I'm quite pleased. Good location. read more

Every time we place a pickup order we wait 40+ min once we arrive. Twice this week they have cost us time which is money! The computer system said we weren't there when in fact we were checked in already both times. We had to exit our car and find the employee. There are ALWAYS empty cars parked in the pickup spaces. People park there and go in-store to shop because it's convenient. The signs say you will be towed if you do that but I've never seen anyone towed yet! In fact, one manager said they don't tow them because it is too costly and time-consuming for Walmart. I contend that once word got out that cars are being towed the in-store shoppers will stop parking there. This Walmart also claims pickup customers get first priority over delivery drivers. Not true!!! Every time I'm there I see those drivers pull up, get loaded, and sent on their way while regular customers are left to wait long periods of time! And the GREETER spoke NO ENGLISH! One word for Walmart: AMAZON!!! read more

It's the night before Christmas Eve and there are only 2 registers open outside of self scan. The lines are so backed up it looks like Black Friday. We turned around and left to take our grocery business to Public. Several others were leaving at the same time as us. Everyone complaining. Management oblivious. read more

i try to make my living off of delivering and their pickup department never answers the phone. so sometimes when the delivery app doesn't check me in like it should, i have no way of getting in contact with anyone to checkin, then am left waiting for no reason. read more

During the daytime hours the service is good and the store is very clean. The checkout times are very quick.

I went to Oakwood Walmart today bc normally it is nicer and has better merchandise than the Walmart in Gainesville.. I was particularly going for baby clothes... The baby department was SICKENING!! I couldnt believe how everything, especially the clothing, was just thrown around! Nothing at all in that department was organized at all!! I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! read more

It's your basic super Walmart great for food and clothing. Clean well kept and employees seem happy. Only had one incident where I was stranded at the self check out with no one in sight, it was pretty late 12 midnight so short staff is expected. Keep it up !!! read more

This store is horrible, lines are always 15-20 minutes long. It's never an in and out place. Plus if you plan on doing some late night shopping... Just don't, wait until the next day. They'll have only 1 register open after about 10-11 and I've waited in line literally over an hour multiple times. read more

DO NOT take you car to the walmart auto center in Oakwood Ga. I took my car to have a simple oil change and the mechanic broke my hood hinge. He slammed the hood and broke the hinge now the hood will not close. I spoke with the manager Larry and he LIED to my face and told me it was already broke when it was not broken. I am now trying to find out how to report the damage and have the manager fired. He had me sign the paper work after the work was completed before I realized the hood hinge was broken. After I had signed the paper work he then proceeded to write on the paper work that the hood was already broken. Unfortunately had to at least give them 1 star to post. I would have given a negative star if possible. Do not do business with this walmart. read more

I've been to a lot of Walmarts and really like one stop shopping. The convenience of having this Walmart less than 2 miles from my house is outweighed by the complete frustration of how unorganized this store is. Generally 1 out of 3 of the items I am looking for in the grocery section does not have a price marked on the shelf. I am a budget shopper and need to know the price of things before I buy them (go figure). I can understand the long lines but having to figure out the prices of several items every time I shop here frustrates the crap out of me! read more

Sick and tired of no registers open. Going back to Kroger! I am so tired of going into this store with 25 check out lanes and only 1 or 2 open. They have plenty of associates walking around but they can't open a register? I am not going to self check out when I have a cart full of groceries and lots of fruits and vegetables. I went to get my prescription filled at a CVS located right around the corner and they wanted $40 for a months supply. I went to walmart to compare prices, they gave me the exact same prescription for $10 and it was 3 months worth instead of just one month!! I will be using walmart from now on for my prescription needs... This saves my family a bunch! read more

I am so disappointed with Walmart . We will never shop there again. My Nissian was torn up at the Oakwood Walmart and they are refusing to fix it. They were to do an oil change and even put on the paperwork that they did and they never put the oil back in the car. No oil went to my pistons and has torn my engine up and I need a new engine and they are refusing to fix it. I cant drive my car. The Auto Asst Manager told me that the oil must have leaked out in a 2 day period and that I just dont know what oil leaking out looks like. The Co-Manager called after the first complaint and he was not helpful at all either. I called more complaints and have yet to hear back from the District Manager who I was told would call me back. I am so irritated and just aggravated that they think they can do whatever they want. I just learned that they do not require their auto people to have experience. A couple of months ago, my Mom had her oil changed at the one in Gainesville. She returned home and heard clinking on the way home. She opened the hood once home and they had left the tools in her vehicle and never did the oil change. read more

This Walmart ALWAYS has very long check-outlines because they only have one or two lines open. Cashiers are nice but are clearly overworked and not happy. Whoever is responsible for stocking this store does a very poor job. When something is sold out it will stay that way for days or they will just put another item in it;s place. Example: Dite Rite Colas always have one rack on the top shelf that is ALWAYS out of stock...the reason it is out of stock is because it is a very popular item, the shelf will be full of Pepsi, Coke the Walmart Brand but the Diet Rite is ALWAYS out. If you ask an employee why they do not keep these stocked they laugh & say the Manager does not care. What a concept for the Manager to actually increase the number of racks with this product, the same goes for Mrs. Edwards Pies and Rice, we live in Oakwood but have to go to the Buford or Suwanee locations to get items above. We have asked about these items and were told they do not sell that well, I believe since they are always out they sell, and would sell more if they were properly stocked. If these items do not sell why do the others stores always have an abundant supply, or is this an indication of poor management in this store only??? read more
