I've always been pleased with my purchases at Publix and I love their subs. Up until today I also loved their sushi, particularly their Poke Bowl. Today is my birthday so my darling wife went early to get me a Poke Bowl. They usually have some premade but today didn't have any. The woman working the counter said she would make one for her so my wife ordered 2, one tuna and one tuna and salmon (after all, it's my birthday). I was excited about this as I was going to get not one, but two of my favorite sushi dishes... but my excitement waned when I saw them. it was very obvious that these were made by a different person than the person who made my last dozen or so bowls. I kept up my hopes but I quickly realized that these were made very differently. Not just their appearance but these were mostly rice and the kicker was that they have about a quarter of the sushi. This was very disappointing. Happy Birthday to me, but not at Publix. Bottom line, we'll be much more aware before wasting our hard earned money on at best, mediocre sushi. read more

Nov 20,2025 I go to the hot table in the deli to get lunch.. I left without lunch or help by the 3 managers hanging out talking by the Gatorad.. Deli is never set up , staffed and stocked for l service.. I literally called and spoke to a manager and explained that they need to staff during busy hours.. I also told them that managers are in fact allowed to help employees who are extremely busy. The Deli department needs new leadership. read more

Routinely out of bread for subs, so heinously busy here in Inverness, make a bigger store, or increase baking staff or open another store because this town is getting too big for one store. It's pure chaos to park, long check out lines and slow bakery staff that gets hyper focused on decorating. I've been saving my grievances for a while. I will shop at Walmart until Aldi comes to town. Ambiance is a mad house not the Publix I grew up with. read more

I visit the store quite regularly, and purchase quite a few deli products. Twice I have gone and gotten fried chicken on it to be short four pieces the first time and then three pieces the second time. The stockers feel as if stocking. The shelves are more important than customers being able to purchase their products, can't explain what it is about this store but I feel like this is the worst Publix I have ever shopped at. But no worries there's an Aldi opening soon in the area. read more

Today was a very busy day for Publix's. Like any day before a Holiday, the Super Bowl is no exception. Honestly, I was so frustrated shopping, because there was so many people. I usually enjoy shopping, early, with less people or with people that are at the very least aware of their surroundings. That was NOT today. As I exhaled in frustration ....lol...An employee heard me and not only did she let me vent, ...lol she opened a closed register and personally VIP'd me through the checkout line. Much like every other Publix I have ever been to, this location is full if caring associates that really appear to like their job. I have interacted with every department. The bakery is willing to slice your bread for free. If you want the freshest loaf and it is available, they will get you that one instead of what is on the shelf. The deli is always busy, but it is staffed accordingly. If I want deli meat or cheese sliced or a fresh sub, no problem. And with their online order option, you can get it made prior to your arrival. A real time saver. The produce section is culled often and is fresh. My favorite area is the seafood counter. Any of the seafood can be steamed and seasoned to preference. I take advantage of this service quite often. And their sushi selection gives you the fan favorite, spicy roll and California roll. I can honestly say I have not come across a time where something was out if stock when I was looking for it. I cannot stay this about their competitors. This reason, plus the overall commitment to organization and service is why I come to Publix before any other option. read more

Well this store is brand new and everything appears perfect the deli sub area is horrible today I waited almost a half an hour for them to make a sandwich with only three people ahead of me the staff is super friendly and personable but there's a time for chat and there's a time for customer service the assistant manager (the bald head guy) kept peeking around from the back room noticing the Long line .....he would eventually come out and help someone for about a minute and then disappear again each time peeking around the corner to see the line and disappearing.... on the way out one of the front end managers ask how my day was in nice polite fashion and I explained it was fine until I ruined my entire lunch break coming here to pick up food and I explained my dilemma with the sub counter it shows poor planning and poor management all around. I love Publix. It is more expensive and I do not buy everything there but I am just drawn to Publix for some unexplainable reason. I buy most of my meat there and all my specialty items there. I needed rye flour and they are the only place that has it. I also love Boar's head meat and they are the only one who carries it. read more

I'm very happy to find this supermarket in Inverness, it is very close to where we stayed. Well stocked with fresh vegetables and fruits, meats, dairy, kitchenware and many many more! I love my Publix. The entire staff is happy and pleasant. Love the way they all welcome e when I go from aisle to aisle. It reminds me of how the old corner grocer was in my hometown years ago. They are all ready to help you if you ask for something you can't find. The variety of items is fabulous. Obviously they are all well trained by the manager. She is always on the floor checking on things and helping where needed. They take your groceries to your car. If it is raining, they have umbrellas, and have you drive your car up to entrance and put them in the car so you don't have to get wet. It is a class act store! read more
