The privilege of this obviously new supermarket is having new shopping carts and a smooth, polished floor on which to drive them. No cart rattling whatsoever. This store was well-populated yet quiet in the aisles. If you're passing through the aisles are large and laid out nicely, and you can find a baguette and a bag of dog food quickly enough. The cashiers were pleasant. The location was close enough to 95 that you don't have to go out of your way. Convenient spot all around. read more

So they built a brand new Publix. Great big one. And it is not what the old one was. The new store doesn't carry many items that the old one did. Some moron designed the layout with the bread at the opposite end of the store from the bakery. But the one thing that really makes the Publix experience at this store pretty bad it's the number of open checkout lines. The store has a bunch of registers but even when the store is crowded usually only three or four are operating. Also the prices at Publix are ridiculously high. Like many others I've started shopping at the Super Walmart nearby. I save money and time. read more

Lunchtime found me passing through the area with a sudden craving for a Publix sub. There are plenty of sandwich options out there, but Publix remains the best, and this location delivered exactly what I wanted. The store was clean and tidy from the parking lot all the way inside. The aisles followed the familiar Publix layout, so finding the deli was effortless. Knowing the system well, I ordered a full Boar's Head ham and swiss on the seeded bun with deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. It was made just right and sliced neatly in half. I grabbed a can of iced tea from the cooler, checked out quickly, and headed back to my campervan. I decided not to eat while driving since those seeds tend to scatter everywhere, so I sat at the table and enjoyed my lunch properly. Absolutely delicious. I have been shopping at this Publix location ever since moving to Kingsland (sorry - keep on forgetting to check in, but my receipts will justify my visits!). I was looking for something comparable to Hawaii's Foodland or Safeway, and Publix is the place to be here. Publix has everything that you could ever need - from groceries, produce, self-care items, kitchen items, medicine, deli, bakery, meat, and seafood! I most enjoy their BOGO deals and their 3 for $10 strawberries. Though they are pricier than other stores, I still enjoy shopping here due to the wide selection of items to choose from. Their produce is fresh and their bakery and deli are phenomenal! They also have a wide variety of Boar's Head meat and cheese items, which they also use for their deli sandwiches. Workers here are friendly, always checking in if you are looking for something in particular - maybe because I always seem to look lost because I just keep on browsing for items. They also have an app where you can build your shopping list throughout the week and shows you which aisle to get your items from. This elevates my shopping experience as navigating through a store you're unfamiliar with can be daunting at times. You can also check their weekly deals, clip coupons, and pay for your items, all via the app! Although I wish they post all of their store prices on the app - otherwise, I have no further complaints. My favorites here are their Publix Brand Lemonade, Sweet Tea, and their bakery items - especially their Mango Key Lime Pie! read more

I try to go to this Publix as I live close. Generally, the store is clean and the staff ok. I've tried on 4 different occasions to order a specialty item e.g. deli plate birthday cake et al. This Publix is just unable or unwilling to do anything special in a timely fashion. Tried to order a 1/4 sheet cake with "happy birthday" written on it that is all. Well, you need to come after 5..... I'm not sure the birthday parties these jokers go to, but most children's parties are finished by 5. I called the store in Yulee, and they were able to accommodate my crazy difficult order (sarcasm). Yulee is about a 20 minute drive for me but, I'll make it for the cake and use the Yulee store as fill in when I don't go to Winn- Dixie. The crazy thing is it is always the same BS covid, labor, supply chain, Putin stole the icing, the funny part when it comes to time to take your money those problems seem to magically disappear. After 3 years hearing this when proffered as an excuse it sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher now blah, blah, blah. The thing these folks fail to realize the economy is turning and they'll need a job sooner than later. We'll see how the "I don't care attitude" works, LOL if you need something super hard a deli tray, birthday cake make sure you order it 6 months in advance so these fine folks can tell you that you should've ordered it 7 months ago. read more

Sooo I usually come to Publix but today I guess I was having a brain fart. I wasn't sure if Publix sold Pinesol, and I was getting ready to leave and just go to Walmart. While I was walking down the aisle there was an employee named "Jay" he mentioned he was new and haven't been working there too long. He overheard me talking to my 6 yr old son and very professionally and nicely advised me that Publix does sell Pinesol and was kind enough to search for it with me. Just because I can't remember his name too well he was young looking brown skin appearance male with black hair. Jay I believe is his name. He did a wonderful job. I'm aware all the employees have that same nature I just really wanted to spread some light on it because I was in a rush and didn't have the time to be going from place to place. I truly enjoy shopping at Publix supermarkets. They have better produce. They try extremely hard to ensure customers are taken care of and there are enough staff on hand usually to ensure limited wait times and can actually be found when needed. Here at this location and most others there is a freshly prepared deli which offers a healthier fast food experience than the local BK, golden Arch and others. They always have chosen items each week for a BOGO or buy more save more special. The store and parking areas are well lit and kept up. My biggest concern with this location is the restrooms. It seems no matter what time I visit the smell of waste and unsanitary conditions make me believe management has never heard of a disinfectant and/or bleach. I have notified the staff several times and still the stinch and trash overwhelm me. One star demerit. Please get with staff to ensure a healthy restroom enviroment. Lately, the superb shopping experience here has disappointed me. Produce is not as fresh as usual. Tomatoes, apples, and other veggies seem to be separated and sold overripe at a minimal discount. Often the sales flyers are outdated and new ones unavailable, employees are fewer and some know nothing of general knowledge about store happenings. A fix is in need here at this location. read more

This deli does not seem to follow Publix standards. Whatever I go in for, they seem to be out of. Peanut butter? Oh, they have some it's just a week out of date still on the shelf. Chicken tenders? None in the hot case and it will be 30 minutes until some are ready. Waiting for a sub? With 7 people visibly working, only one is actually waiting on customers; the rest of them just keep their heads down so as not to make eye contact with you so they dont have to wait on you. Rotisserie chicken? Completely out at 6pm on a week night. Management hasn't done anything to improve this department so I just try to avoid it since complaining does nothing but get you a bunch of excuses as to why the deli sucks so bad. It really stinks this deli is so lousy since the next closest Publix is in Yulee. read more

Publix is kind of like a hybrid of Starbucks and In-and-Out burger. Like Starbucks, there is one on every corner (provided you are in/close-to Florida). Like In-and-Out it has an almost cult-like following among residents of the state that it hails from. In truth, it's a much better place than either of those. I don't really buy groceries much (in case you couldn't tell by all these Yelp reviews) so I can't really comment on pricing. I will say that Publix tends to have better quality products than your average Florida grocery store. Specifically relevant to me: better beer selection. And then there is the subject of: Publix Subs. The Publix Sub cult is almost bigger than the Publix cult. I confess that growing up in Florida I only had a couple of them, and I wasn't super-impressed. Probably for two reasons: 1) I was a broke college student 2) I hadn't yet developed my palate (i.e. started to become a snob) Well, I had one again. I picked one up (any Floridian will tell you: you GOTTA go Boar's Head, sooo worth it!) for a trip to Cumberland Island. And, you know what, it was really good! I would definitely pick one up again. Also, Publii (what is the plural? Publixes?) usually have hot people in them. You won't be seeing any "People of Publix" websites springing up anytime soon, unless it's to showcase sorority girls in rolled-up sweat-pant-shorts. read more

Get we're sorry we made the wrong wings. Give us 10 minutes and we'll make some. 25 minutes later and I'm handed non breaded wings. Not what I ordered...now twice you messed this up. It's my first time at this Publix. (I'm on a stay-cation in St Marys!) The first thing I noticed is it was hard to find because (coming from the East) the sign was covered by a large tree. There isn't much to say about the parking lot as it's pretty basic. There was plenty of parking. Inside was a little confusing because I'm used to the produce being on the right when I walk in...this produce section was in the veeeeeery back of the store and it was really confusing. Apparently this is an older layout because newer Publix' have the same layout (produce up front). Anyway it isn't a big deal I just wanted to put it on my review because it's something good to know! Deli Meat and cheese slicing is good but the other end of the counter is comatose. Not up to Publix standards or what I am used to. The rest of the store seems fine. Always a pleasure shopping here, clean and clutter free aisles. Most employees are helpful and go above and beyond. Cashiers are friendly and always interact with my son. Bakery is always fresh and full, produce is best in town. My only complaint is the deli counter, it's an inconvenience to ask them to help with an order of chicken or even getting some deli meat sliced. Tried to use the online to avoid dealing with them. I love Publix compared to Walmart and Win Dixie, which are the three main grocery stores in my town. Win-Dixie is expensive for no reason and they don't have a good selection. At Publix, the fruit is fresher, their ice tea is great, and their bakery is top notch! Their buy one get ones beat shopping at walmart hands down. If I need healthy items, I can go to Publix mostly the same stuff I can get at a health food store, and I can get it cheaper at Publix. In addition, the staff is nice and the store is clean. Outside of the buy one get ones, Publix can be pricier than Walmart, but not by much. Plus I don't mind paying for quality and good service. read more

I love this location!! The staff is top notch, friendly, efficient, nice, helpful. This Publix is always very very clean, well stocked, and the deli & bakery are phenomenal. I want to say Chad (bakery) and Preston (? Up front) are very helpful - awesome service! The register staff is almost always pleasant and enjoyable, management always speaks as passing. I can't say enough great things about it. I guess one negative is that they often run out of fresh baked yeast donuts, but that's about it. The hot food bar carry an array of selections to choose from to put together a quick meal, the only thing I do not like is the fried chicken, the batter is entirely too thick, takes away from the flavor of the chicken. This is my favorite grocery shopping experience in this area. We are here in our motorhome for a while. I must compliment especially the man that cut my sandwich meat and cheese for me. This has got to be my favorite market as its close to my house and got pretty fresh produce! They've got a deli and bakery! A sit down area for those dining in. They've also got fresh seafood in the back and seasoned meats for quick cooking! They offer sushi rolls, I've never bought them before but they looked good a little on the pricey side but I guess since there isn't a fine fresh dine sushi restaurant in the area it's understandable. They've got array of organic produce which I love! Sometimes it's hard to find in other markets. They've got a big wine/beer selection. read more
