Been here a couple times and I have never had any issues thankfully. The staff here is usually very friendly and they always get my items scanned and bagged very quickly so I don't have to stand around and wait after paying at the check-out belt. The location is very clean and the shelves are always stocked when I walk down the rows of food, drinks and assorted other grocery items! Prices are a little high so I only like when items are BOGO, that's when I mainly shop here for my family. This Publix is always super clean and it is nicely lit as well as labeled so I don't have to fumble around looking aimlessly for the things that I want to get so I can leave quickly! Went in at 4:20 for chicken wings. They didn't have any. I asked the older gentleman how long would it take for that to cook. He came back with 25 mins. 10 mins go by and a younger kid starts putting out chicken and I asked about the wings. He goes to the back to tell me 40 mins. What? I'm about to leave and I run into 1 of the managers in the front. Told him the inconsistency of the deli and escorted me to have it resolved. The deli manager helped but still from that point had to wait for the wings another 25 mins. Almost 40 mins for 1 order of wings. My advice. None there, just walk out. Both the managers politeness is the reason for even getting a 2. I would've left a 0 if it wasn't for that. read more

growing up, my family would always visit my relatives in florida once, sometimes twice a year, and my aunt and cousins would always take us to public to get groceries and other goods. years later, i'm still visiting relatives in florida, and we still go to publix for their fresh fruits & veggies, meat, dairy, and deli bar. i've always loved the deli bar where you can customize your sammie any which way you want. this public is pretty big and also has a small cafe inside that sells coffee and pastries. there's also a western union, if you need to wire anything. and they also have a separate liquor section towards the rear. pricing is pretty fair for what you get. definitely recommend coming before the evening rush to avoid the long check out lines! read more

The absolute best customer service at the deli today, and best quality sub i have gotten in Orlando yet! Sydney made sure that my sub came out PERFECT, went to get different tomatoes that looked fresher than what was there, and spent an extra second chopping them so they would be perfectly dispersed on the sub. She checked with me to make sure each ingredient was exactly right before going to the next ingredient. If only every publix out this much love into making their subs. My original review was about a previous cake experience; however my shopping experience is completely different. Clean and well organized. Staff was great with my little one. Free sprinkle cookie while shopping and free balloon at checkout. That all makes the shopping experience easier. Add in digital coupons and helpful bag boys and it's a carefree day!! This review is specifically for the bakery. We ordered a cake for our daughter's birthday a week in advance. When my husband went to pick it up, not only was it not ready but they had no record of it. They threw together one last minute, so my husband waited. Manager did nothing to help out the situation. Not even a discount. Cake was dry with barely any filling. We only go to the publix bakery in southchase now. read more

This Publix is friendly, organized and nice just like almost all Publix. I much rather pay more for my groceries and know they were handle with care. The sub line is never too long, which is always a plus. The ladies and gents behind the deli line are genuinely nice. One of the ladies always says "mama" and for some reason I think it's cute because we are like the same age. Aisles are clean, check out is pretty decent. I have been coming here for 4 years and have noticed the staff (management) mostly are still they same, which means a lot in a business. My only reason for not giving it that last star is because of their cop, who I guess is there for extra security (it's not a bad neighborhood) but every single time I make eye contact with them(different people from time to time) they just glare my direction if a weird way. I thought I was the only one but I've heard people say the same thing. I guess that's just their way of securing the place. But hey if you're not doing anything wrong there shouldn't be a reason to be worried. Besides that I am happy to say this is my Publix! read more

This Publix is down the street from my house. I am in here like three times a week. The staff is super friendly and the store is clean. They make the best coffee and its super cheap. I live in an area where its majority Hispanic, so the store has a Latin feel. Produce is always fresh and service efficient. read more

Publix is great but this location needs to do something about the deli situation. They take online orders now but they will leave a live of customers standing while they tend to those online orders. Add deli workers so you can make shopping a pleasure for those waiting in your actual store. read more

My husband and I came here for the tremendous service that we usually receive. We went to check out and the cashier Joann was polite with her greeting until she started bagging our groceries and slinging them down the counter and everything begin to fall out. There weren't any apologies but we did receive rolling of the eyes and her attitude once I mentioned what she was doing to her. Customer Service training she needs to go back and refreshing her skills. Other than that 3 stars for the store. read more

Would give it a 5 star but I used to like in lake Nona and have visited one in dr Philips. These are wonderful publix supermarkets. Yea I get it: the neighborhood is more "minority" based and lower income so certain services are not available and the assortment is not really varied. Defiantly geared towards Hispanics. How can you not turn down a Publix Sub, or anything from the Publix Deli???? Its impossible since its so delicious and stupendous. They have every meat behind the counter so dont be afraid to ask, even for BACON....always ask for the BACON. Everoast Chicken Sub is the best in the world! And of course, lots of selections you get at convenience stores....but they really know when to make a good deal with "Buy 1 and Get 1 Free" stuff. Excellence of execution. read more

My family and I have been going to this specific Publix for over 10 years now. Today a very nice young man name Nathan, who was our cashier, went over and beyond for us. He helped my mom and I with a cake situation we ran into and we are so grateful for his help and patience's. The store is always clean and the people who work there are also very friendly. This is not a good Publix. I have been several times since I moved into the area and this location has EXTREMELY poor customer service. No one says hello as you walk around. Employees talk to each other more than they talk to customers. Customer service closes early at night. I went in for fried chicken one night and was told it would be 25 minutes. Chicken doesnt take 25 minutes to fry but I waited and when i came back 30 minutes later still no chicken. I was told it would be another 8 minutes. I left and bought dinner elsewhere. This the only Publix I have ever been to that has one cashier open with a long line. 4 people can walk around filling plastic bags and playing with their phones and talking to each other but can't open a lane. The General Manager should be fired for allowing this Publix to fall so far below the high standards I have been accustomed to from Publix. But come to think of it I have never seen a manager at this location. In other Publix the managers are always at the front where customers are making sure they are being taken care of. Maybe if the managers at this location cared to come out of their office and actually MANAGE the place would get better. This Publix is a disgrace. Walmart is across the street and Walmart is not great but at least my expectations are low going in. I will give them my business as I'm sure many already have. I had been going to this Publix since it was built. I love Publix Super Markets. However, the customer service at this Publix is so horrible, that I switched stores and travel a longer distance to another Publix store. I refuse to return to Publix at Landstar until the customer service improves. It's like going to Wal-Mart. I have had so many bad customer service experiences at this store that I won't even go into detail on all of them. I personally think the bad customer service begins with management. The customer service at this store is so bad that it leads me to believe that the employees are unhappy and, therefore, it reflects in their customer service. When an employee is happy, they show it, just like when they are unhappy. I visited the Publix at Gateway Crossings in Altamonte Springs and experienced the total opposite. From the minute I walked in, every single employee I came across, even through simple eye contact, greeted me. The store is very clean, organized, and the environment is extremely happy and positive. Maybe the Publix at Landstar should take customer services lessons from the Publix at Gateway Crossings. read more

I have been going to this Publix for a little over a year since moving into the area. I literally am there at least 6 out of 7 days out of the week. All of the cashiers know me, all of the people in the deli etc. I rented the Rug Doctor on a Saturday, and later that day got in a pretty bad car accident. Didn't have a rental car until the next day. Long story short, returned the Rug Doctor one day late. I explained why I was returning it late to the girl hoping/assuming she wouldn't charge me for returning late under the circumstances. Her exact words were "If you are still alive, you can pay the late fee." Great, perfect, thx. She also called her manager, I believe her name is Jen Backman, and the manager also basically told me to screw. Nobody cared, no concerns, charged me an extra day. Mind you when I got to Publix to return in, there were 3 other Rug Doctor machines available, so clearly the extra day didn't even matter. Way to go Publix! Glad you appreciate my continued business. I would have given 1 star, but the employees are always friendly and helpful. My complaint has to do with their deli. This is the third time we've ordered subs in their deli. They have a great product, but each time the food had not been prepared as requested. I don't think I'm being too picky - but when I order a steak (made from roast beef, but really is pretty good if cooked correctly) onion and cheese - american cheese - with nothing else on it - and I ask that it NOT be cooked well - I hate burned food that is what I want. Considering I am paying almost 9.00 for a sub with only 3 ingredients I would hope it would be prepared as I requested. I'm sad to say that this is the 3rd time in a row that this has happened. I will continue supporting my neighborhood Publix - they are a great company and have wonderful employees - but I think I'll look for another store to get my subs. read more
