I love this Publix!! When I shop here, I get at least 98% of the things I need. I do find their items more pricier than most markets, BUT the quality is there! When I walked in today and saw all the Valentines Day flowers and balloons, It made me almost want to celebrate it, but just for a minute. Lol. Their flowers are always beautiful. I had the most amazing experience today at the Publix grocery store. I was met by one of the store clerks who got a scooter for me so I didn't have to look for one. Secondly, when I got into the not only were the store employees who welcomed me into the store but the customers also were friendly towards each other. Best of all during my checkout Paul, the store manager help me bag my groceries. After leaving the store I met Kyle L. who put my bags in the car and opened the door. How cool was that. Thanks to everyone who made my day from the deli to the prepared food counter. read more

I bought a few things today, including 2 packs of 24 bottles. When I went to an empty line with a cashier, he and a girl that was bagging groceries helped me by taking things out of my cart and putting them on the belt. I was distracted by this and forgot about the water on the bottom of the cart. A cashier next to the row I was in mentioned that we forgot the waters. I apologized because I forgot about them. Then her or another person with her said, yeah, IF you forgot, implying that I may have intended to steal the water. I've never stolen anything in my life and I've been going to that store since it opened. I've always been treated greatly in that store. But I'm disgusted because that woman insinuated that I might have been trying to steal the water. She should apologize and think before she opens her mouth. I was too mad to say anything to her. read more

Oh how we LOVE Publix... especially their fresh made SUBS! Stopped in to grab some subs for lunch after visiting Hero's Community Park. The 2 ladies working the sub counter are WONDERFUL! I made a request for a chicken parm sub (adding marinara to their chicken tender sub). Despite not having marinara sauce in their sub shop, they ran over the the aisle with the pasta sauce and GRABBED A JAR, opened it and made us a chicken parm sub! That's amazing customer service! Bonus that whole chicken tender subs were their special sub of the week and had a $3 discount making them $6.99 EACH! That's unreal! (After our initial chicken tender sub, in which the tenders are chopped up, we requested the tenders kept whole and my husband and I both agree we preferred the tenders WHOLE.) We grabbed a few other groceries while here including Lays chips which were buy one get one free. Since we're from out of town, I asked if the sale prices needed a store card and good news is that you don't! In addition to the sub shop workers here, the other employees are so friendly as well! The cashier was lovely and the guy who bagged our groceries was wonderful as well! We WILL be back this week!! Publix you're the best! read more

This place is clean for the most part. Still shopping here is far from a pleasure. The pharmacy is clueless and less than helpful. They always seem in a daze and confused. The pharmacist (take your pick) is over worked and understaffed. They have no suggestions and little to no feedback. I was at Vista Lakes Publix for nearly 10 years. It really puts this place to shame. The pharmacists know you be name and always were willing to help by making suggestions, calling the insurance company, or drs office for any hiccups or issues when they could. Here they truly do the minimum is that. It's always something here. No personal touch and sibilance of concern for the patient/customer. It's convenient if you're willing to deal with the above and there's nothing remotely extra need. The Deli. This is bar none the worse Publix deli I've been to and that's saying something because we love our Publix delis all over Fl and Ga and even further north in VA. Here the deli case is never ever really stocked except when it's put out but after that good luck because it looks terrible, crusted, dryer, and often empty. The seem to not know they're in a place that people get lunch and dinner and everything in between. Sad really because on multiple occasions I've asked for tenders and the case is empty then someone asks for a sub and they pull 10-15lbs from the hot box. As I write this there are 4 people walking around, 2 doings subs, 1 at the meat slicer and 15 people waiting for subs and 5 at the hot case, and another 6 waiting for cold cuts. Management doesn't seem to care and people keep coming. They walk around oblivious like a kids who has chores to do but mom hasn't reminded them to do them so there you have it. The shelves are stocked as expected and produce is fresh. The meat always looks good. Staff in the rest of the store is 3.5 of 5. They've gone to self check out and so now even more complacent staff. Bottomline....it's better than Wal-Mart but not better than Sam's or ALDIs. If you don't need medicine or anything from the Deli then a bit better than so-so. read more

"Where shopping is a pleasure" not so any more. This store is going downhill. Cashiers and baggers find it more important to talk to other while a customer is standing right in front of them. A lady comes up to ask a bagger where to find something, he acts put out that he has to help her. I thought it was a fluke but I have came back a few times and this is the new norm. During school year parents ignore signs about no student pick up/ drop off so it's a circus if you have to go there during dismissal times. I'll drive further for better prices and service. read more

Went today around 2:45. Found everything I needed and got in line at the cashier. They had 2 lanes open. One person was bagging in the lane I didn't get in. I was behind 2 women that had two carts full of food. They had to bag their own groceries. One bag boy came up, looked at how much food there was, and walked away. I also noticed 4 young males hanging out by the customer service counter just chatting away. Another bag boy came up and left too. The things I noticed is nobody looked happy in that store and during my time in there I saw no management types supervising. This doesn't happen at the Publix on Narcoossee and Moss Park. Great service, employees are smiling, and management is managing. So it's back to that Publix. read more

Well nobody really likes to grocery shop. But when you have all the staff members from management to cashier saying hello with a smile, just carrying on a conversation about the weather or is there anything I can help you find (they will take you to the aisle where the product is) says a lot about them as human beings and as a company. I just love going to this Publix the store is always clean, neatly organized, produce is fresh, butcher is always available to cut meat if needed. Yes you get your busy times and sometimes they don't have enough deli personnel to help, but every time I've been there, Joey has been either making subs or doing the cold cuts. He is so funny and so enthusiastic, very personable and respectful. Now every time I go there if I see Joey at the deli I always ask for him to do my order. Very nice Publix located in a great location! This Publix is very easy tonsee from the main road and has a couple turns to go into so if you miss one for the parking lot, you can just turn into the next! Upon entering, the bakery is located to the right and the pharmacy is located to the far left. Much like many other Publixs' it has the generic Publix layout and everything is located in the same area as many others. The staff at this Publix are super friendly and will go out of their way to take you to any item that you may be looking. There are always a handful of checkout lanes open so there usually isn't a long wait if you are coming during a busy time. The bakery items always look super fresh and the bakers are constantly putting out new items when the old items are being sold to customers. Overall a great Publix that also has a drive thru pharmacy window! read more

I'm going with 4 stars on this one, but only due to the fact that I've had a special order that kinda got the ball dropped on me, BUT with that being said the store and manager are really nice. You're going to get pretty much what you would at a small/medium size liquor store including all the sizes from small to giant of the brands you'd think of (like Grey Goose, Ciroc, Jack, Crown, Bacardi, etc). There is not a lot of beer in the liquor store, nor is there much in the way of mixers; you are best off getting that stuff at the market next door and grabbing your package on the way out. Just my opinion / experience. There's a super nice guy that works in there all the time and he's really helpful. I'm not saying grocery store employees aren't helpful normally, but really knowing stuff you'd expect at Total Wine. The last time we were in about 3 days ago, he turned my wife on to a new variety pack of cider. Normally she's only a fan of her sacred Magners, but really was really glad she bought this variety pack of Angry Orchard. It is a nice touch when someone puts the effort in. 4 Stars....good service, selection and location. read more

Ordered a small size of the fruit sensation cake. The 7 inch one has fruits on the top and in the filling. The outside of the cake is covered with roasted almonds. However, the 5 inch one we ordered has nothing on the outside but whipped cream. The baker said that they can't put fruit on top but I don't see why. There are room for fruit decoration on the top of the 5 inch cake. What about the roasted almonds? what about the strawberries around the cake? We are not informed that it would be a plain cake with poor little amount of fruit in the filling. I was shocked when I got the cake, and I have never seen a plain cake like this in my whole life. I am extremely disappointed with this experience . If I had known that this is how they make the cake I would rather not ordering it. read more

Publix is my absolute favorite grocery story because no matter where I go or what state I am, if I go in to a Publix, the staff is always AMAZING!!! I live in dc-no publix-so I was happy to be able to go in to Publix and grab some of their delicious cakes and cookies for girls night. This was my first time going their since adopting a plant based diet. One of the guys in the bakery section showed me some vegan oatmeal raisin bites. My girls loved the carrot cake and butter cream. PS They also loved the fried chicken we grabbed for the beach earlier in the day. The sushi was fresh and they are happy to heat up anything in the cold section, if you ask. The staff is just delightful. I don't know how they do it. I've never encountered a rude or mean Publix associate! EVER! I love this place. No trip is complete without stopping here. read more

This is the latest addition to the growing Lake Nona area. Located just outside of Laureate Park (off of Narcoossee Road) this is a large new Publix with some new features. An expanded Wire area (yea), a custom cuts section for the meat department (frenched rack of lamb anyone) and a large international isle with sections dedicated to Mediterranean, Brazilian, German, English, and more. The store is huge, bigger than most. The staff is friendly (as always) and are very proud of their store. Also, there is an adjacent Publix Liquor Store with a good selection of Burbons, Rums, and other spirits. read more

This is a beautiful new Publix, right next door to Lake Nona Middle School. The store is super clean, and the layout is very user friendly. Love their gluten free section, and they always seem to have products that no other stores in the area have. The international aisle is well stocked, and labeled with a wide variety of foods from various countries and cuisine styles. Surprising and oh so tasty! This is my store of choice when I have a little extra time to shop! read more

This Publix deserves 5 stars because obviously the customer service is phenomenal, the store is clean, and the shelves are stocked at all times. This Publix is a higher end store with sushi and a meat case that has fresh, thick, meaty cuts. Not to mention the greenwise dried fruit and oatmeal section. And last but certainly not least the huge wine department and liquor store..they have endless adult party favors that meet any taste..considering that they have a wide variety of craft beer. The deli is always spot on with my online orders and the employees are always hustling. The bakery has a wide range of cakes and pastries that will cure any sweet tooth. The pharmacy is very helpful when it comes to refilling your prescriptions or just picking up. I could not find anything negative to say about this store even if I tried. It's Publix! That should be enough said. All Publix's in my mind anyway, are the best. This place is the cleanest store I have ever been in. Both inside and out. There parking lot is well maintained. I swear not one cart running a muck. Always where they should be. I have never seen one in the lot other then in the parking corral where they belong. Someone is always collecting them to keep the lot clear. I like that. Yep this is the store for you. The aisles are wide and clutter free. The selection of prepared food is great. Bakery selection is yummy. Everything always looks so fresh. The bathrooms are well kept and clean. Another amazing Publix. The best of the best. Personnel was as in all Publix's extremely polite and friendly.They do have great tasting ready to go soups and chili. Good bogos every Thursday. They do tend to be a little higher priced then per se Walmart or Aldi's but for the convenience of not having to go into a Walmart parking lot or having to make sure I have a quarter for a shopping cart at Aldi's it's worth it. read more

I love Publix. The store is clean and neat and the employees are friendly and helpful. I say this with one caveat though. As a vegan, I have found responses to my requests for healthful products, which are important to me, to be less than helpful. Therefore I now do much more of my regular shopping at Earth Fare. And I no longer bother to make special requests there. Earth Fare is equally friendly, but they are also more than happy to help me obtain non-dairy products and flours to make my own breads that are organic, non GMO, and preservative free. While the Publix bakery keeps such breads in their freezer to preserve its freshness, and pulls a limited number of loaves out to specialty shelves each day, these are frequently gone when I shop. Employees routinely say they are out of the bread and to return some days later when they will have more. Although the bakery manager promises it is "almost" always in the freezer. (Which I've found very true at other Publix stores in Florida). Explaining kindly that I only need to ask them to get it out for me. However, invariably at this Publix when asked, bakery employees immediately say they're out, and there is none held back in the freezer. Now I allow Earth Fare to order the flours I need and bake my own bread in a bread machine, and store extra in my own freezer. I also make my own vegan, dairy free ice cream. (Publix has discontinued Halo Top Dairy free Chocolate Ice Cream. The only dairy-free brand/flavor that does not contain a lot of sugar or fat.) For anyone interested in this wonderful product I have good news. It can be made at home quite easily and healthfully using Aquafava from 1 can of chickpeas; 3 tbsp of chocolate tahini spread; 1/4 tsp cream of tartar; 1 tsp vanilla; and, 1/4 cup instant sugar free (or regular) pudding mix. Directions: Whip the Aquafava and cream of tartar 6 minutes until stiff peaks form; add vanilla and whip into mixture; next slowly drizzle in melted chocolate spread a little at a time; whip until blended; then slowly add the 1/4 cup instant pudding mix. Pour into a freezer safe container and freeze 2-4 hours. It turns out quite creamy and delicious and low in sugar with a healthy chocolate flavor. Plus -- you will save nearly $5 a pint by making your own dairy free ice cream very inexpensively at home instead of buying it from Publix! read more
