Hey folks - Publix is now providing to me that Publix is more about the price than it is the quality. You've heard me stay before the obvious but $10.59 per pound for American cheese? I live out of state and there is a Publix in our community. Now while they have a reputation of being a quality store quality doesn't mean that you walk out of there taking a second mortgage to pay for your groceries. As such since Publix is opened, we don't even bother to go down there because their prices are just too high. As a recent example, we walked into the Publix in Palm city. We happen to notice that the chicken breasts were now over six dollars a pound. When we came down to Florida Florida, we actually froze some chicken breast for the ride down. We paid $1.79 per pound. We went to Walmart and paid $3.59 for a quart of cream but it was almost $5.29 at the Publix. Another example of how you get ripped off down there is white claw. Long time listener, first time caller!! Publix is known for the BEST subs in South FL! If you're headed to or from the beach....You stop at Publix for a sub. If you're high before 10pm.....You stop at Publix for a sub! Picnic.......Publix sub! Lunch.....Publix sub! Dinner......Publix sub! Snack......Publix sub!!!!! Every publix u can't find strawberry ice cream vanilla,chocolate,strawberry 3 flavors that every brand should have. Pink carton blue bell ice cream is #1. Can't find any publix walmart either. How about strawberry cheesecake blue bell u can't tell me it doesn't sell the whole ice cream isle byers( boo) and publix brand our of 20 brands only 2 have strawberry I don't even know how your bakery stays open prices are outrageous read more

NONE of the employees are friendly. Even the store manager. He just stares at you with dead eyes, never smiles or interacts with customers. Isn't Publix supposed to be about friendly service?! they are literally deceitful thieves. BOGOs re a joke as they purposely put signs under different brands or have differnet size or variety that's excluded. no one is friendly or helpful. I do self out so I can check the prices are correct, but last time I had to put 4 items back because they were the wrong size or variety. lady watching over me like I was thief trying to put something past her and steal. even asked if I scanned my last item which was $1.49 nail polish remover. they can see what you scan when they're standing near you watching you like a hawk. rude, disrespectful and not at all customer oriented. read more

It has been a while since I purchased a sub at the deli. I was shocked at the price increases for a Publix brand meat sub. They have jacked the price up by $2 per whole sub and it looks like they have reduced the size of the sub roll. i know inflation has affected some items but this looks to be taking advantage of the situation. I had stopped considering buying a sub from Subway or Jimmy Jones but I think I need to revisit them to compare. I saw similar price increase on Publix cookies. I buy my cookies from Walmart and they are equal to or better than Publix. read more

As usual Publix is always clean, friendly and the employees are happy to help their customer. This location has the PIÑABAR pineapple coring machine. A unique in store customer experience. This is a great addition to the produce department. No more sticky mess at home cutting pineapples. The kids love to cut their own pineapples and watch the machine operate. read more

Two stars for two reasons 1.) they're a clean store with a wide variety of foods but don't count on someone to actually be able to help, usually they look like you've inconvenienced them by asking! 2.) the kids employed here are horrendous! i say kids because that's how they act, i've heard many different inappropriate conversations between employees as they are checking me out. As well as hearing the employees by the customer service desk inappropriate conversations since they're so loud you can hear them at any register. Tonight i finally asked if there was even a manager in store which i was met with "i don't know why?" by a young but not very well mannered girl behind the register. I'm confused to why this publix is like this?? every other publix even if it's in palm city or stuart has 10 times the customer service! The people running this place need to get a better grip on their employees and need to realize they're working for a company who they represent with their actions. read more

This is simply put my favorite Publix in the Treasure Coast. The service is impeccable. The other day I wanted a sweet potato pie and didn't see any, they boxed one up in less than a minute! Tons of handicapped parking and I love that they bring the cart/groceries out. Publix is southern hospitality at it's best! read more

This is a great Publix. I drive past two other stores in Port St. Lucie to go to this one. This Publix has an AWESOME organic produce section. There's actually two sections with organic produce and some scattered among the other sections. They also have the largest selection of Applegate Farms cheeses, lunch meat, bacon, and hot dogs. Along with a nice selection of Organic Valley. There is such a great selection they have it in it's own stand alone refrigerated case opposite the seafood case. The parking lot is a nightmare, but aren't they all?! But the store is fantastic. read more

This Publix has just gone downhill. It use to be my favorite. The customer service is non existent. No one helps brings your groceries to the car. Rarely have someone help with bagging the groceries. Always seems dirty and out of stock on items. Shopping here is definitely not a pleasure. Paying more but getting less. read more

This place must be run by a collection of slugs. How can people consider this a good grocery store? Terrible customer service overall. I rarely talk to a person who works at this store and feel like they aren't just rushing through the conversation. Also they all seem very unhappy. Not to mention the extremely weak selection of products for such a massive sized store. I'm only giving two stars because over the last few years they have been expanding their collection of health foods and green wise products, which aren't half bad. I have been shopping at Publix for the past eighteen years and quite frankly, they are disappointing. The employees could not be more friendly, but Publix itself plays games with their pricing. They continually move merchandise around the store to different locations so that you will go marching up and down more isles looking for your item. I was bothered during the pandemic when they had signs requiring face masks, but never, ever, enforced this policy when people were seen , many times not wearing them. read more

During COVID 19 I ordered delivery and have experienced amazing service. The lady who shopped for me did her best to make substitiutions for items that were out of stock and stayed in touch via text message. As requested she left my delivery in the garage and was only slightly delayed due her high volume of orders. Such a helpful service. Publix is doing amazingly well , keeping their business moving along and helping customers as best as possible at a very precarious time. read more

Both Publix locations in Palm City have a lot to be desired! They have enormous staff of employees yet I have to bag my grocer 60% of the time. Tonight the cashier didn't get the hint as she sat there and watched us bag the 8 bags of groceries. that was the finale.... No fried chicken(not uncommon after 7), waited in line to get a sub for over five minutes only to order and be told toaster doesn't work. So you charge absolutely premium prices, bag your own groceries and half the time they don't even have items. Like no prepacked turkey lunch meat tonight as well. I was so annoyed I wanted to throw my stuff on ground and walk out. Shopping here 15 years it has gotten worse and worse, they must train managers there or just know people locally have money to spend so neglect the store. I will start Aldi and Walmart more frequently and save 40% and bag my own groceries happily when I'm not charged for it like Publix. I just felt very disrespected and the cashier could care less about her work ethic. read more

Stop by this publix by my parents house and pick up a few things before seeing them. They have everything here even a Pharmacy!!

Just a quick note, one of the guys in our group went to the restroom on our way into the store. He washed his hands and was heading out when a man in a hairnet came out of a stall and went straight out the door ahead of him. Our guy saw him walk directly back to the meat department. I've been to quite a few Publix supermarkets in the past. Unfortunately we recently moved near this one and, after shopping there for 3 months I have found it to be the worst run and underwhelming Publix I have ever been to. Someone from corporate should secret shop here. They are very slow and very understaffed.The produce is almost all pre packaged and often old. Not much is fresh here. Other Publix have vitality this one is drab and blah. read more

This is the best Publix in the entire world! Always stocked with an amazing selection, even kosher and vegetarian. And the employees are the most helpful humans I've ever met. Whitney is always so kind and cheerful; Kevin and Leah are super knowledgeable and accessible for questions. Arlande is also nice and so quick with customers in the checkout line. I literally look forward to seeing the publix employees when I go; they are THAT pleasant. All the employees bagging your groceries are so nice and helpful. It pains me to do this, but I am hoping a negative review, along with the others I just read could possibly improve this store. I am also reaching out to their corporate offices. The Publix on Martin Downs Blvd. in Palm City leaves a lot to be desired. I have been shopping at Publix since I moved to Florida 25 years ago. I hate this particular location. They are SO BUSY, but that's not their fault. They are just extremely understaffed. I despise going to the deli EVERYTIME. Yesterday, I waited 13 minutes there at 1:45 pm on a Thursday. I only got 1 pound of meat. It is ridiculous. If you are charging nearly $12 a pound for meat, they are making money and I would think they would have it staffed adequately. There were only 2 employees working very hard at the deli with 9 customers waiting. The checkout lines are also way too long with not enough registers open. Unfortunately, this is not a one time situation. I understand sometimes stores are shorthanded due to people calling out sick or vacations or whatever. I would never write a negative review based on one experience. This is all the time at this particular Publix. They also have the rudest employees at this one, mainly the front end people like cashiers, etc. While I appreciate Publix hiring teenagers and working with their school schedules, they really need to be taught how to act in front of customers. I have witnessed several inappropriate conversations taking place between cashier and bagger. Speaking of baggers, would it kill Publix to train them properly?? I don't like having my strawberries mixed in a bag with my Clorox. Martin Downs Publix is nothing like the other Publix stores where you walk down an aisle and they are greeting you asking if they can help. If I wanted rude employees, I would be paying FAR LESS and shopping at Walmart. I complained once about the deli situation to a manager a couple years ago but nothing has changed. In fact, it is worse. On a positive note, there is another Publix on Martin Hwy in Palm City near the Post Office which is never crowded and is adequately staffed with friendly employees. Why do I torture myself and go to this Martin Downs location you wonder?? Because, they stock this type of ham I like and the others do not. I think I will ask the deli manager at the other Publix if they are able to get it. Also, it is closer to my house and because the pharmacy section at Martin Downs Publix is phenomenal!! Kevin, the main pharmacist, is truly amazing. He knows ALL his customers by name. Everyone at the pharmacy is great. I can't say enough positive things about them. At this point, I will only go in there when I have prescriptions to pick up but not to shop. Again, I'm reaching out to the Corporate Offices, if they care. My suggestion will be to send in "secret shoppers" and they will see for themselves. read more
