I drive close to 30 miles to this Publix every other week or so to get groceries as I live in an area where the local grocery store is Dollar General and there's a Piggly Wiggly about 12 miles away. Why drive so far? Publix quality and experience not only blows the 2 closest grocery stores away, but is also (and I can't believe I am saying this about Publix) way cheaper. I've been to this Publix a few times since moving to the area and it's always been a great experience shopping here. The staff is so friendly and willing to help; or just talk with you. Very genuine service here. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to get in and out of. Also you can't leave Publix without grabbing a Pub Sub; far superior to other sub shops in town. read more

The bakery here is terrible. It took 4 workers to tell me if I could get a white cake with a shape on it- and they can't. The only customization they can do is a letter or number (which again took 4 people to answer). Oh, and none of the 4 would take my order in person. Said it had to be on the app. read more

Despite a two man/woman crew for the hot food and subs line. The customer service that was provide was amazing from the older gentleman that made my sandwich after standing in line for about 15 mins or so as the other woman was handling the online orders. Two people walked away and there were about three others that got in line shortly after I received my sub. As visiting back home everyone knows a Publix sub is a must and it wasn't disappointing either. The double battered chicken tenders on a white bread sub with the sweet and spicy Sriracha sauce hit the spot. read more

I go out of my way to come to this Publix because the way the make their subs, But today the experience i had wasn't cool. I ordered two chicken tenders subs from publix today and Lani was polite and asking me what I wanted on my sandwich everything was amazing until she pulled the Honey Hot sauce out and Buffalo sauce and started pouring sauce all over my bread. I was stunned and proceeded to ask her; is their a new procedure to making a chicken sub here now because I was at this same publix 3-4 days ago and the lady who made my sandwich, I wish I got her name but the sandwich was a 10/10. I will make sure to get her name and shout her out! But as far as Lani at deli just lying to my face saying her manager spoke to her this morning and said they weren't allowed to mix the chicken in a bag/bowl anymore really ruined my day. I ended up speaking to her manager at deli... Her name is Monica and she even said Lani's procedure was incorrect so hopefully next time when my sub is made the chicken and sauce are both mixed in a bowl so my bread doesn't get soggy by the time I get home to enjoy my sandwich now it's basically inedible..... read more

This store has a large variety of fresh produce including a lot of organic selections. They also have a pharmacy open until 9m. Great bakery and you can get Delicious sandwiches w Boars Head brand meets and cheeses. They always have one on special every week. Great choices on seafood and meats. They also have a liquor store a few stores down from main entry. They are a bit pricey but they do always have Buy 1/ Get 1 deals. read more

Online sub order at 1:03pm. Received email saying it would be ready by 1:30. Arrived at 1:25 and did my shopping for the next few days and came back at 1:30. I stood at the online pick up area until 1:50pm when some other people waiting motioned that I had been standing there for a while. Finally after 20 minutes of standing there I was acknowledged and immediately was told next time allow a hour for online orders. At that point I left. I'm fine with things being busy and it taking a little longer. The problem is when I stand there for 20 mins without being acknowledged and then I'm immediately lectured as if it's my fault for showing up at the time I was told. Won't be back. I'll drive to Lynn haven or the other new location. read more

I always love going to Publix. I've been getting my kids birthday cake there the past 12 years and it seems like their bakery is slacking as the years go by. I came and placed an order for my son birthday cake 4 days prior. Today I came and picked it up and it was just a blank white icing cake with his name. I told them this is not the cake I order. So they ask me what cake did I order and I told them. They said it was going to be 15 minutes for them to redo it. Well it took longer than that and the cake didn't look exactly as the one in their book. Didn't get an apology or a discount. Update: 06/27/2020 Today I came back and got a regular strawberry and peach sensation cake. I have order this cake about 40 times. Publix on 23rd is still slacking off in bakery. Should of went to a different Publix. Paid full price for this crappy cake that's falling apart. Definitely wouldn't recommend Publix bakery on 23rd st. read more

This place isn't the cheapest by any means but its clean, the staff is friendly, its well laid out and they have everything one could need. To me thats worth paying a little extra for! They have a nice produce selection and the guys there really know a lot about fruit! Its a little weird but hey... I appreciate any lesson learned, even if it is about the flavor of peaches!!! I'm a HUGE fan of Publix! This is a new store to me since I grew up in a different region of the US with a different chain store. They have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian meats and cheeses. I REALLY appreciate that! They always have a large display of items on super sale at the front. They don't hide the sales items in the back. There is always free hot coffee right up at the front of the store so you can grab a cup while you shop. (I don't, but it's a nice thought.) I wish they had more organic produce. Maybe that's just at this location? There is a grocery store closer to where I live, but I prefer to drive to this one. read more

This is a nice grocery store. The store itself, as well as the shopping center "23rd Street Plaza", are both kept very clean. The parking lot is well lit at night. The store has a large deli/bakery section with very friendly and helpful staff. They make many items fresh daily. Bring your kids in and they'll each get a free cookie. Oh, and if you're going to make pizza, don't settle for a frozen crust. Ask for pizza dough at the bakery counter. It takes some of the time out of making pizza. It's a little elasticy when you're trying to roll it out, but the end product tastes great! I appreciate that the Publix brand items are excellent in quality. For instance, I prefer the Publix brand natural peanut butter when compared to a certain other national brand. They have "Greenwise" sections for organic/natural items. Overall, it's a pleasure to shop at Publix. True, items are pricier at Publix than, say, Grocery Outlet... BUT it's a completely different shopping experience. read more

Love Publix! People always talk about how Publix is so expensive. I was one of them and I used to shop at Winn Dixie (YUCK!) Then I went to Publix and I heard the angels sing! It's actually CHEAPER than Winn Dixie. YES, cheaper. Let that sink in for just a moment. They also have buy one get one free deals all over the store. And on things you can actually use and justify buying two at a time. The deli is great, the butchers are happy to help you choose cuts of meat or split a package for you if you're eating solo. My only complaint would be about produce, but this town just doesn't appreciate fruits and vegetables. I usually buy veggies and fruits at the Farmish Market off 15th street but even they can be limited at times. Overall, this store is nice! read more

I know Publix is a chain, but I have always loved their stores. Their produce dept is always fresh and not filled with a bunch of old stuff. Lots of seasonal options. Their meat is a little pricey, but their seafood section offers a good selection. Nothing compared to the local seafood markets. Their in-house sushi chef had a lot of great rolls, and it was really well priced. Great customer service as always . read more

This is in regards to the pharmacy. I arrived at the counter around 2:15-2:20 and left around 2:30. I was told it would take around 30 mins to get my medicine because it was my first time filling a prescription at Publix which was completely understandable. The worker at the counter said I would receive a text message when my prescription was ready. To kill time I did a little grocery shopping and waited in my car. I called at 3:16 asking if my prescription was ready because more than 30mins passed by. The woman on the phone said that they were still working on it. Around 3:30 I decided to leave because I had things to do and was already waiting longer than I anticipated. I called again twice with no answer. Finally at around 3:48 I got a hold of someone and I told them that I've been waiting for my prescription and I have yet to receive a text saying it was ready. The response I got with some attitude was, "oh I was on my lunch and no one was filling. But I'll fill your medication next". At 3:58 I finally received a text saying my prescription was ready when it should have been ready earlier. Now I have to inconveniently drive back to Publix because of a lack of unprofessionalism and poor planning. There are people who need medication to survive and I would hate for this situation to happen to another person who physically can't take the time to drive back. read more

We enjoy shopping at Publix but it is nothing like Harris Teeter in Virginia. Publix us a small store in comparison but clean and organized. They have a lot of good sales in their ads. I have tried the other local stores and I don't find too much difference in pricing. However..I would like to mention...We shop at the Lynn Haven store and the 23rd Street store. Prices seem to be higher in Lynn Haven. Also I have been repeatedly charged wrong for items at both stores! Check your receipts. If you do feel there is an error, call them out. They offer the Publix Promise...If something rings up different than the price on shelf, you get it free. I have probably done this about five or six times now. Check those receipts!! So far I have gotten two gallons of ice cream, two boxes of cereal, potatoes ect.. FREE. read more

Shopping at Publix really is a pleasure. Their customer service is remarkable! I was there recently searching for a product, and when the customer service representative discovered that they were out of stock, she called around until she found another location that had it in stock.
