I pre-ordered an appetizer for a family gathering. As always, Publix is quite a busy place, that didn't matter. Jen, behind the cheese counter was quick to assure my 9 year old and me that we were seen and would be right with us. Friendly and sweet, she was a welcome personality in a busy atmosphere. Sheila, also, have my son a wonderful sample of a raspberry turnover. It was so great, that we bought two. Sheila was also such a wonderful surprise as far as friendliness and knowledge! Great staff! We were on our last day of vacation and my husband dropped an envelope of cash in this Publix. He noticed he lost it when filling up our car with gas. We immediately went back to see if we could find where he dropped it. An employee turned it in to the service desk. It feels so good to know there are honest people in our country. The staff is great. Unfortunately the influx of seasonal patrons decreases the customer service. The waiting time is held up because of "their" need for lottery tickets at "customer service ". The minimal amount of handicap mobility chairs does not accommodate everyone that is populating the store. I do not appreciate being held second because the seasonal people are here and continue to clear the shelves. It's an insult to the residents that have supported Publix for decades. read more

The worst customer service I've seen in a Publix pharmacy. Cape Coral Publix's said no appointment needed for 1st shingles shot. We are in Punta Gorda today. We decided to stop at this Publix on Rt 41 and Burnt Store Rd No customers at the counter or waiting. The 1st women said we need an appointment to get the shot. When we questioned why, a gentleman (AH) interrupted, rudely and loudly "we used to give 10 shots per day, now we give 200. You need an appointment." I would normally understand however, no other customers were waiting or even in the pharmacy dept. Shame on you. Go back to sweeping the floors. I hope you didn't waste your parents money on a pharmaceutical degree. read more

I've been shopping at Publix for almost a month now and I've got to say that I'm impressed with the quality of products, their wide variety of fresh foods, and their prices. It would be nice if they didn't wax some of their veggies like rutabagas. read more

It's a nice clean store. All the employees are super nice and helpful except for the rude lady that does the cooking demonstration near the deli. She is miserable. If you stroll by and ask what's cooking in a friendly way she snaps"NOT READY YET!" After I finished shopping I strolled back by and I said very nicely, " is it ready now?" And she looked at me with the craziest look and said very meanly, " yes, but I'm not serving it yet!" My husband wanted to report her to the manager but I refused. She is older and obviously having a bad day. Everyone else is quite nice. I have been many times and she is still just as rude but there is another younger lady who is pleasant and will answer questions about food preparation. I guess she's there when Miss Meanie is off. The best place where shopping is a pleasure. The chicken tender sub is my favorite. All the cashiers are super friendly.

Ran into this location to grab some flowers for my Mom while we were waiting for lunch. It was pleasant experience. I was in and out within five minutes, the staff was amazingly nice, super friendly, and very helpful. The location was very clean, very organized, and it was easy to find what I was looking for. We have always ordered the complete Thanksgiving Turkey dinner at Publix so as to have "leftovers" to eat as we go to our daughters for the dinner. Prior to this Thanksgiving, we had been happy with our dinners. This year, instead of Publix putting in a store cooked turkey, they put in a frozen "pre-cooked" Butterball. Since it was frozen solid, we had to safely defrost it for 2days in the refrigerator per package directions. The turkey looked hideous, half orange brown, half white. It also had an unusual odor. I thought perhaps it was because it was frozen. We continued with the heating up process in order to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner in our home. It tasted peculiar, freezer burnt like, old. We gave it to our dogs, they ate a little but walked away. The rest of dinner was good, we bought 8 pies to take to my daughters. They were good. Please, please Publix, go back to instore preparation of the turkey!!!. We eat your take out 2-3 times weekly as we are only 2 people, and retired. That turkey was really disgusting, and disappointing!!! Please don't ruin our dinner again by cutting corners, your food is usually good. Please keep it that way. Thanks. read more
