I really enjoyed shopping at this Fresh Market the last few weeks while working in Vero Beach. It was located across the street from the hotel I was lodging in which was super convenient. This especially held true the week I forgot my peanut butter. I visited for snacks, meals and sometimes just because. LOL I purchased items I don't typically buy such as granola, unsweetened coconut flakes, and dried fruit and vegetable chips. The unsweetened coconut and granola have proven to be great additions to my morning shake. The staff at the store are friendly and it doesn't appear to be a very busy location. If you are in search of a quick healthy meal, I highly recommend the summer Cobb salad. I will definitely visit the Fresh Market again when in town. read more

I keep looking for rabbit meat. I used to be able to find it at Winn-Dixie and Publix, but now, sadly, no rabbit to be found. It is difficult to make a good paella without this essential ingredient. Just do not know where to find it. Should say...I love everything else about this store. read more

Without fail the employees are dour and rude. I don't go back for a while. Then I give it another chance and they are rude again. The store is okay, sometimes has some fun or interesting stuff and some hard to find items, but the staff is genuinely, consistently awful. Every. Time. Always check your receipt, and best to do before leaving store so can be dealt with at the time. Many times sale prices don't ring up. Today sale price on shelf for coffee did not ring up as such. The produce is ANYTHING but fresh and it looks terrible. Everything in the store is grossly overpriced compared to other area markets. Definitely the "whole paycheck" albeit a Vero Beach version. I love this place!! It reminds me so much of a luxury grocer we had in the Hamptons. Yes, it's pricey at Fresh Market, but I love the dim "mood lighting" and the staff and shoppers are pretty great too :) The service is good, the food is amazing. I have to say, I absolutely love this place. When you walk in the colorfulness of the vegetables fruits in the flowers, make this an enjoyable experience, if you are willing to open up and see it. I came out for orange juice so I can add it to my champagne from the hotel and have mimosas while I'm here. There were organic orange juices and regular orange juices both located in two different areas and both are two completely different price points. Customer Service was awesome. I love the Fresh Market for certain items--the butcher, for example--but I am done buying fresh fruit. It's high-priced and not fresh. I bought strawberries and blueberries on Friday afternoon, for example, and by Sunday, the strawberries were already rotting! Today (Monday), the blueberries are 1/3 unedible, soft, and full of mold! Try picking through each blueberry you want to eat. Publix fruit, which is not perfect, at least isn't going bad on us by the day after purchase. read more

my family had love the TFM ever since 2004 when we lived in Tallahassee, FL. Due to circumstances, we had to move back to CA and TFM opened a store in Roseville, and we loved it. But the store did not last. We have family in Vero Beach and was glad there is a store here. Well until the last two nonsense occurrences as followed. First time, I was in store for purchases and one them were half a salmon. The item got rang up twice on the receipt. Called and told to being the receipt in to get the refund. No issue there, in and out and got my refund. Second time, a few days ago, went in for more groceries. Two items got rung up twice, a bottle of milk, and about 1 lb of munster cheese which I requested to slice for me. Called and assured the same thing. Though I did talk to a "manager" stating that the situation is alarming if I kept getting over charged for things and if I did not check, I got cheated. Came in today and explained to a "manager", She went on to get the "muenster cheese" SKU so that she can refund me. after a few minutes, she came back and attempted to refund me the "muenster cheese" but not the milk. when I pointed out, she asked me to go get the milk so that she can refund me. I refused and told her to get her staff to go get it. I then requested for someone in charge higher than her to speak to. a gentleman came and I told him the whole thing with multiple times having to come back to the store to get refund and the dilemna having to go through this second time. Last but not least, I have just realized after gotten home that I did not get my original receipt back from the manager who issued the refund. :-( In additional, I wanted to get more salmon which were on sale. One time earlier, I did and I did find in in a case display. The past time when I get it, it was not there so I asked a manager and she asked me to ask the seafood person. This time, the seafood person told me to check on the display case and it was not there and then he checked and then told me out of stock. I wrote. . a review of Fresh Market, Vero Beach several months ago. We shopped there again this weekend and found, unfortunately, none of our suggestions for improvement of the quality of their deli food had been taken. This review is a summary of the quality of the food we bought this weekend and the competence of deli staff. We purchased 3/4 lb Tuna, 3/4 lb Roast Chicken Salad and 3/4 lb seafood salad. While at the deli, we commented on the poor quality of the chicken and tuna salad we had purchased in the past. The server took little interest and did not even apologize . When the server handed me the three items, I noticed that instead of 3/4 lb Tuna salad, we were given .55 lb,; instead of 3/4 lb of Roast Chicken Salad we were given .67 lb.; instead of 3/4 lb of seafood salad we were given .60 lb. It's not rocket science to derive the correct fraction of the whole, but this is the second time the same server has given us less than we ordered and its getting more than annoying. Doesn't Fresh Market give their employees a simple math test to ensure they know how to perform elementary math in the performance of their jobs? Apparently not! Upon arriving home, it was getting toward lunch time, so we opened both the Chicken and Tuna salad containers to make sandwiches. Once again, we found the tuna salad was streaked with large, uncut, unchopped chunks of tuna. This is hardly the consistency of tuna salad we expect nor is it the quality of tuna salad Fresh Market's upscale prices indicate . The chicken salad was characterized by dark and light meat, in too large chunks for my taste. Additionally, we found scraps of chicken skin, which is not to my taste or anyone else's that I can name. We threw out the chicken salad - once again a waste of our money. We haven't tried the seafood salad yet...perhaps a surprise will be in store for us and the food will be edible. Our experience begs the question of whether or not Fresh Market has any quality control protocols in place to ensure the above experiences do not happen. Apparently not! This is the second or third time we have had a bad experience with deli products. The store is too far away for us to take the damaged food back for a refund and we just don't have the time to do so. I'm surprised and very disappointed that FM management did not take my first review seriously and correct the issues I mentioned. Perhaps their attitude is to do nothing and hope the snow birds from across the bridge will keep them ion business despite their poor record of providing quality food. Well, as for my family, we won't be going back to Fresh Markets any time soon. It's bad enough to buy bad food at any price. But to pay the exorbitant prices Fresh Market demands is stupid. Our new Thanksgiving tradition going forward. I ordered my Thanksgiving feast online. On Thanksgiving day went to FreshMarket to pick up. Very well organized. At the door they asked my name, handed me my order voucher went inside handed the voucher to the attendant. He brought out my box which everything I ordered, I was in and out within 15 min. I pre ordered an Easter dinner for my family from Fresh Market after they sent me an email describing their offerings. I thought what a wonderful way to stay out of the kitchen and spend more time with my family. I went to pick it up at 5pm on the evening before Easter to be told that they were out of the dinner I ordered and no others were available! To be told this the night before I was to have Easter dinner!!! Talk about stress, Fresh Market ruined my Easter dinner, I will now be rushing to come up with a dinner and slaving in the kitchen. I would never set foot in that store ever again, nor any other Fresh Market location. They have a store full of food they could have done something to make it right. Stopped by Fresh Market since they are one of the few retailers of a beverage I wanted to try. Upon entering the store, a huge variety of flowers and plants greeted us. There are 2 aisles of bulk food items ranging from chocolates to trail mix to beans. The store was clean and there were markers for social distancing at the registers. Both the cashier and the employee who helped me find what I was looking for, were extremely friendly. The only reason I'm docking a star is due to the higher cost of groceries compared to other stores. read more

So disappointed with the fully cooked Thanksgiving dinner. I ordered the 8-10 family dinner thinking that Thanksgiving dinner would be a breeze for me this year. What a joke! The turkey was partially frozen. After leaving it out for four hours it still took three hours in the oven. Who freezes mashed potatoes? Fresh Market does, as well as, freezing stuffing. Both a watery mess which required considerable doctoring. The cranberry sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can. The only saving grace of the whole dinner: the Parker House rolls. Fresh Market in Vero Beach is a delightful place to shop. The store is always clean and has very appealing displays in each department. Today, I was especially pleased with the butcher department. Norma, one of the butcher employees, went out of her way to serve me with exactly what I was looking for. She is always polite and efficient. In fact, the entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. I must confess, sometimes I go to Fresh Market just to walk around to get a "feel-good" fix. The Fresh Market is a wonderful store, great prepared foods, organic produce, high end specialty items but not in Vero Beach. The Manager is awful! He hires rude, nasty, misfits to work there. In a specialty store like Fresh Market people don't mind over paying for better products and prepared foods if the service is outstanding. The staff at Publix is so superior and so is the service! This store continually runs out of items, the lines get way too long, they need new managemant at this store! This is a luxury market place and customers want superior service not inferior service from a bunch of misfits with bad attitudes. Unbelievably high prices on a fair amount of items! Overheard a few couples commenting on the quality and price of some things being better and more fairly priced across the street at Publix. I agree. The produce section was depleted, expensive and with rotting veggies! Lettuce was compost-worthy! $6.00 for loaf of bread? $3 a muffin? No way! Bulk coffee is good. Cashiers are friendly. OK, so the prices are high here and certainly COVID hasn't helped that at all. But, they have a wonderful selection of fruit and veg and their baked goods are lovely. I personally enjoy their deli items and buy the cold salads for convenience - and am happy to pay for that convenience when I don't have the time or inclination to make such things for myself. The place is always clean, and I have always found the staff to be helpful and accommodating. Certainly, this place doesn't have a selection as large as Publix, but that's not really what I'm going there for anyway so I don't find this to be off-putting in the least. Maybe my standards are high given that we are from Northern California and we normally shop at Whole Foods but I am extremely disappointed by this place. Fresh?!?! Not even! Based upon the name, and the fact that they hold themselves out to be a natural and organic food store, I thought this would be Florida's version of a high end organic market. Nope. Not even close and it was actually kind of gross inside. We didnt even feel comfortable buying fresh fish for our dinner and had to leave. Yuck. I don't know what all the sour reviews are about? I love this place. Fresh Market has food you can't find anywhere else in Vero. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere very clean and quiet. Of course the prices are a little higher than Publix or the like, but you are getting a premium product and experience. Their bakery is very good. The deli is good. The wine section is good. The produce is good. The specialty food section is good. Overall, I believe the Fresh Market of Vero Beach deserves five stars. read more

This Whole Foods competitor has a surprisingly tasty and healthy assortment of food from fresh, organic produce to the largest assortment of whole bean coffees, nuts and snack mixes in the area. The prepared foods at the Deli counter are quite good, and include empanadas, pizzas, quiche, sushi and Italian specialities. Some standouts are the home made meatloaf and stuffed cabbages. The rotisserie chicken is excellent but pricier than other markets. There is a large assortment of ethnic and specialty items. I am so glad there is an alternative to Publix here in Vero Beach. read more

The best food market I have ever used. In virtually any category of produce I can truly say that you can't go wrong with what they carry. I've discovered more favorites here than I could have imagined. Their cold smoked salmon, the whitefish salad, their selection of crackers, their selection of wines, and the bakery are good as you would find in any specialty store that sells those items. Probably incorrect since I am able to buy that cheese half price somewhere else. I didn't feel like driving back to return. If I could give no stars, I would! This store prides itself as upscale and specialty. Sadly, it is neither! I stopped in to purchase some meat for dinner this past Tuesday. The young lady behind the meat counter had a bandanna on her head and sloppy appearance. When it was my turn, I noticed she was not wearing gloves. While I told her what I wanted, she scratched her head and actually picked her nose!!!!!!! I stared in disbelief!! I told her I changed my mind and left! Absolutely disgusting! The last time I was there the same young lady was working and I could overhear her while I waited online. She was talking to a co worker and must have dropped the "F" bomb five times in one conversation, quite loudly! Today at Fresh Market in Vero Beach I attempted to buy 2 crab cakes at the high cost of $7 each. I stood there for several minutes hoping for a clerk to come out of the backroom. During this time another customer arrived at the counter. Soon a clerk arrived and instead of scanning the counter, greeted the newer customer who they seemed to know, completely ignoring me. I then had to endure the newer customer being waited on first. Then I had to call to the clerk to notice and wait on me. Then I arrived at the only register open to be greeted by a cashier who was talking on a phone the whole time she waited on me., only to be handed my order with her not even looking up at me or saying anything. I had to point this out to her as she lamely offered the excuse that she was too busy to be polite. We called the store, spoke to a manager who could have cared less. It is up to you if you are willing to pay high prices for abominable service. I will stick with Publix where I have always had excellent service and better prices. Fresh Market in Vero Beach should be ashamed of itself. read more

This place is pretty average. The prices are high, the clientele is old. I do like that they have a lot of organic food. I frequently prefer to go to the similar grocery store across the street. The one thing that really sets this place apart is the selection of candy. They have every chocolate bar you could imagine. They also have bulk candy. Everything you can imagine is covered in chocolate and sold here. Pistachios, cranberries, almonds, etc. Their jelly bean selection is outstanding. read more
