The place was clean, well lit and stocked. Bought a two pack of biscuits, they were VERY good, ordered a sandwich, the Chipotle Club, was told it was the signature sandwich. Asked for a long roll, they dont do that, because it's only one chicken breast. First of all, $13.99 is a tad high, especially for a sandwich on a round roll (They say Kaiser I say hamburger bun). It's pricey, but the place is nice and the quality should be good, right? Not so fast. First bite I found the chicken to be very stringy, second bite I was unable to break the chicken off the rest of the breast. I brought it inside and asked for a refund. They were decent about it but not pleased. I paid on a Credit card and they gave me cash back (But kept $1 from the tip). To be honest when you charge that much you better be giving highest quality available. In their defense buying chicken breast recently has been a challenge. read more

Ready made goods were delish and upscale. Prices are about what a decent restaurant would charge. But you can pick from the case and literally see what you are getting. I also got a small individual carrot cake! It was excellent. I purchased some charcuterie makings and they had some interesting items like pickle hummus and special cheeses. Pretty much the only grocery store on beach side in this area. They do a very good job at keeping the store clean and stock well. The service here is always good and the staff is very friendly. I mostly come here for the hot food in the deli area. The daily specials change often which is really cool because they're daily. I've never had a problem with anything I've ordered. Except at 1 time I ordered a vegetarian Sandwich because that's a cool local name I didn't read the description. I still ate it and it was still delicious and it was completely my fault. The staff in the deli area are always friendly! They seem to all understand that many of us are here for a short launch period and they work diligently to fulfil everybody's needs. read more

SCW and I stopped in here on a quick getaway up to Melbourne. We have passed by the Village Beach Market a few times and decided to stop in. I'm glad we did. They have a nice selection of wines that you won't necessarily find in the local bigger stores. They have an impressive variety of good quality grocery items as well. They really use the space they have well. We found some of the usual plant based options here, cheeses, some plant based meat substitutes as well. Nice they have that option for the locals and vacationers staying in the many condos around. I found they generally have higher quality staples and higher end options without too much of a markup. But you will pay beach/vacation like prices. They have a deli with some tasty looking options including protein bowls, grain bowls as well as some made to order sandwiches and pizzas. I didn't try any of those so can't speak to how they are. We did grab an already prepared veggie wrap to go. It was ok, a bit dry. Could have used some more flavor but better than most fast food. The employees were helpful. Seemed friendly and ready to help if you had any questions. The interior was clean. The parking lot is quite cramped and a bit awkward but not terrible. I'd likely stop in again, however this isn't where I'd do day to day shopping for staples. read more

This is a hidden gem of a market. All the amenities you could ever need - tucked inside a modest looking building. Don't blink, or you might miss it!! What brought us here ... wine!! The selection is quite good and very reasonably priced. Service was so friendly it made us feel like "locals"! We actually came over from the Tampa area for a day visit, and discovered that they had a wine that has been difficult for us to find!! After the $3.5M+ Renovation, all I heard was prices were ridiculous. I ventured over and the renovation is noticeable, but not the seismic upgrade you'd expect for the price tag. I got a few bananas, pretzels and ventured over to the prepared food counter. I got a small container of Chicken Salad, and the price tag was $10+. Turns out chicken salad is priced at $15.99 per LB. Recognize convenience costs money, but compare this value to the new market in town Riders. At Riders, you can get 1 LB of Seafood Salad consisting of Lobster, Shrimp & Crab for $13.99 per LB (it's fantastic and well worth the money). $15.99 v. $13.99 on Chicken v. Seafood Salad is just a bizarre discrepancy. The people working at this market have always been very nice and helpful. The quality is good and it's convenient if on the Barrier Island. But the value proposition is just not there anymore. You get cheaper better quality (still expensive) just down the street. read more

As many reviewers complain, yes, this store is relatively over priced for generic brands. However, you're paying for the convenience as it's the only real market on this side of the bridge! Everyone that works there is extremely friendly & their sandwiches, tacos, grain bowls, etc are amazing! Priced really well also. I don't do my weekly grocery shopping here but it's convenient to stop in for the essentials or if you're out of something and don't want to drive 20 mins across the bridge to Publix. We visited the Village Beach Market since we live in North Hutchinson island permanently now. It's a small store packed w above quality products. The prices are higher probably due to being in the island. I picked fresh shish kabobs & salmon, a Mediterranean wrap, a fresh banana loaf, and drinks. I lean towards clean, No added sugars & definitely chemical free products. I wish their banana loaf did not have added sugar since you can make it with ripe bananas w/o sugars. Overall is a good store, convenient if you live in the island. The gentleman that served me in the back was nice & friendly & the cashier girl too. It is definitely the most convenient option, great selection of prepared foods, gourmet items and wine, produce is impeccable and of course prices are not cheap. We love it though. The market is located 5 min walking distance from our air bnb. I wouldnt do my weekly grocery shopping there they are expensive - and they can be as it is an upscale area. However, that being said- kudos on the prepared foods section! So far we have tried the chicken parm, meatballs, stuffed peppers, shrimp salad. Just go back to the place and heat up. This place doesn't have to worry about any competition because it's the only option for people who don't want to go to the mainland. It caters to the upscale client to justify its high prices, which makes sense considering the people who live in this part of Vero Beach. It has some stuff that you won't find at Publix. The staff is too friendly for my taste, but I guess that's the south for you. The other customers seem to like the friendliness. This used to have bissinger dark chocolate covered blueberries. We are in Vero Beach on vacation. Stopped into Village Beach Market for a few snacks and drinks during our stay. When we got back to our hotel I realized I lost my wallet. By the time I made it downstairs to the lobby to ask if anyone found it, I was told by the receptionist Brian at this market called to let me know he found my wallet out front of his store!
