Over the past few weeks this Publix has gone downhill big time. There's only one person at the customer service at times. There was only one cashier working the register. The deli was shorthanded. The bakery was shorthanded. So, the store is not as clean and their shelves are sometimes empty. This is not the Publix we've known for years; moreover, it is more like a Walmart. read more

Four stars for overpriced groceries but excellent customer service at Publix. My son loves the free cookie in the bakery! He also loves sitting in the shopping carts that look like cars. We have been doing a lot more shopping here recently because of those two things. I tend to focus on the BOGOs and the clearance items when I go shopping at Publix. Anything else is priced so much higher than other stores in the area. I will spend the extra money for the delicious Publix cakes and cookies however! The restrooms are in the back of the store (including a family restroom) and don't forget to check out the clearance rack in the back as well! read more

This location is right next to my gym, so I stop in every now and then if I can't make it to the one closer to my house. Like every other locations, everyone is super friendly. I mostly go here for their deli meat, beef, chicken and BOGOs. The only thing missing compared to the one by my house is the huge fridge which offers a bunch of different drink options such as sodas, teas, energy drinks etc. They have the smaller ones in the check out isles, but it doesn't offer the abundance of options. read more

Oh Publix, you make me crazy happy with the stuff I find and need in the casa. Piled up on chicken thighs, breakfast items, BOGO laundry detergent and snacks which were missing from my fridge. The layout is similar to other stores so there's that comfort of knowing where to walk to find what you need. I had already paid and was about to leave when I recalled wanting to buy the Publix thermal bag which has a decent size compared to others I've found in Sprouts or other locations, two of their workers walked around assisting me to find it and, as always, I walked out with a lot more than what i had mentally expected to purchase. The one star review is for the deli only! This has got to be the worst Publix deli in Central Florida. I don't care when you order Subs, it is never ready within 30 minutes to 1 hour. I just ordered three subs online at 6:25 PM. The online system told me my subs will be ready at 7:10. I get to the store a few minutes before 7:10 so I walk around and get a few items that I need. I walked back over to the deli and at 7:15 they hand me one sub. I said to the guy, I ordered three subs and he gives me a deer in the headlights look and like hu, did you really order three subs?? Read your sticker my friend, you have on there 3 of 3! Yep, that means I ordered 3 subs. 30 minutes later I get the other 2 subs! Meanwhile the first one which is chicken tender is ice cold!!! Not much you can say about Publix since most of their stores are very clean and easy to navigate. This particular Publix is close to the house so it is the one I go to most. The best part of Publix is their BOGO. Publix usually has every register open in the afternoons when I typically shop there. read more

This Publix is located at the corner of Red Bug Lake Road and Tuskawilla Road. I'd agree with Justin I, this is a great Publix. It's easy to navigate, clean and plentifully stocked and even when the deli line is 3 deep waiting in line, they are cranking you through. I wish Altamonte, Casselberry, Aloma, Deep Creek and Baldwin Park would step that up in their delis. The management is always quick to get extra check out lanes open when they see lines, which is nice. Well stocked in regular and sale items. Friendly staff. read more

This Publix has most of what we need. The staff are always friendly and helpful and also needed since there aren't very many places to leave shopping carts in the really crowded parking lot. The bakery has some awesome desserts including pecan rolls and raspberry tarts. The deli has good turkey, pastrami and beef. The vegetable department can be trying with bulk size offerings but the staff told my husband to open the package and just take one of things like zucchini. But on the other hand, I've never seen any of the vegetables look old. The meat department will cut steaks to order and order in special cuts of roasts or split a turkey breast in half. Good beer, wine and soft drink selection. Good bulk goods selection. They often have good specials on fruit and holiday cooking items that can save money. The automatic coupon system is a real treat as is the member card. The store caters to families but couples can survive by buying the smaller cans, boxes and the smaller cuts. read more

Consistently the worst pharmacy experience. If it is not something common they cannot manage to order it. Waited three weeks for one medication that I was able to get at cvs same day. Ordered something for mom yesterday and was told they would have it in tomorrow, no problem. I called to see if it was ready and they said they could order it for me and it would be ready tomorrow. What the hell. These folks are freaking idiots. Save yourself the freaking agony and go somewhere else, any where else. They are unreliable. And really don't seem to care. read more

I have finally given up on this Publix... at least once a week I find a bag of produce that we bought with a past expiration date. The store manager has the personality of milk toast - product replenishment and brands are inconsistent and while there are a few exceptions, the store manager's milk toast personality is found throughout the employees. The store manager - manages to the lowest common denominator and does not understand how to make effective retail policy nor how to manage exceptions in order to provide excellent guest service. I have other Publix choices equal distant from my house - Goodbye Red Bug and Tuscawilla. Today I tried to buy 3 BOGO deals on Kona - 2 different products - I was told no and hell no you could cause a rub on Kona (the display was full). Well we are having a party and my wife and five adult children like Kona. So I left the cart in the front of the store and made two trips back to the service desk to get what I needed - dumb managers create and enforce policies and do not manage to the exception - the result is an upset customer, a loss of a customer and the ill will that transpires through word of mouth publicity. read more

This is by no means specific to this Publix because I've shopped them all with the same result. If you're looking for big spendings on food that will good bad as soon as the next day, this is your place. Raspberries, buy them and within 24h they are a rotted mess. The same with most of their fruit. Not sure what's up with that? I much prefer my local farmers markets. Not only does everything taste better but it's much better quality! read more

Publix is my favorite grocery store! How can you give them less than five stars. This location is great and they have a great selection. This one is great to stop in when we visit out friends out in Winter Springs. It's clean, organized, and the employees are very friendly. It must be policy to walk you to what you are looking for. Anytime we need help finding a weird ingredient the staff member will stop what he or she was doing and take us to the spot. At checkout, they always ask if they can help you out to your car. We politely decline, but what a nice touch. All in all, Publix is as good as it gets when it comes to grocery stores. read more

This morning, I entered the store feeling desperate. My ASD child attends a nearby school and was completely melting down that his shirt "felt funny". This is no small issue with an ASD child, so not knowing where else to go, I approached Jessica at the service desk and asked where I could go to buy an adult size t shirt in the area and I explained the situation briefly. I was directed to a rack of Orlando City shirts and I was thankful. As I searched for the correct size, Jessica came to me and stated they had some free t shirts in the back. She disappeared into the back for a few minutes and came back with a shirt matching the size I was looking for. I hugged her and told her she had no idea the impact she made today. Parking at this location is not the easiest to navigate. I love Publix in general and this location is clean. However, I am removing one star because one of the cashier's banged my fiance so hard with her eyes that I'm pretty sure he's now pregnant. Not in a "maybe I'm being paranoid and she's just looking at him" sort of way but in a "I didn't know eyeballs could violate somebody so intensely" sort of way. Good BOGO selection here, though. I'm glad I'm moving out for the area. This publix apparently needs to re train its staff because it seems like associates will do what one and management will tell you another. And you as a customer get figure it out. If things are run that way I'll go to Walmart where things are cheese and I get the same crappy service. read more

I love spending my hard earned money there because of the atmosphere and when there is a problem, I know the manager will gladly fix it. This is a very nice store but I just bought my first Thanksgiving dinner there. Very, very disappointed. I had bought a turkey from a different Publix the week before for our company pot luck and it was wonderful. So, when plans fell through and I had to do Thanksgiving I thought I'd do the whole dinner this time. Worst Thanksgiving ever! The turkey was dry as were the mashed potatoes. I tried adding milk to the potatoes but couldn't get it right. The stuffing was runny, had an awful taste and therefore not edible. We threw it all away. Finally, the cranberry sauce was too sour to eat. We actually threw all of the leftovers away. It was over $89 of wasted money and a ruined Thanksgiving. read more

Though I dislike the corporate greed of Publix (as in let's shove everybody else out and stake claim to every corner), I do enjoy shopping at this particular store. I say "particular" because we have shopped at Publix stores all over Miami and they are generally awful. This one is impressively clean, well organized, well staffed and the general customer service is excellent. The people at check-out could not be more pleasant. We also use this pharmacy and have enjoyed very good service there as well. Though I shop elsewhere for certain items, I do about half of my shopping here because of the extensive choices. The location makes me a little crazy because parking is at a premium and the traffic congestion is wretched. It's in a very busy strip mall and the exit onto Red Bug runs along the front of the store. All that is still worth the above mentioned attributes of the store. Good work, manager. read more
