I've been to this Publix at Rosemary Square numerous times when I lived downtown. It was my go-to for quick grocery runs and picking up a few essentials. I'd consider this more of a satellite Publix. It's noticeably smaller than your typical location, so don't expect the exact same selection you'd find at one of the larger stores. It's still a nice-sized grocery store, I'd say about a third of the size of a standard Publix, but it's geared more toward smaller grocery runs than a full shopping trip. When I needed to stock up on groceries, I'd just head over the bridge to the bigger Publix... the one that used to have valet. that's still so wild to me! Location has most of the department you'll find...produce, frozen, meat, bakery...just smaller and less selections. Rosemary Square location does also have a deli, but I never found it worth making a special trip for. The hot foods, especially the chickens on the deli end cap, just weren't what I was looking for. I went to the fancy Publix for my deliberate deli runs. One tip if you're in a hurry: there's also a register in the back of the store that a lot of people may overlook. Overall, it's a convenient downtown Publix that's great for running in and grabbing what you need. read more

I'm sad to say this is the first time I've ever had a bad experience at Publix. The staff at the deli were incredibly rude! The only reason I'm not giving it One star is because the workers at checkout were profesional, but it honestly did not offset how rude they were in the deli. They were snappy, poor communicators, dismissive, short, and rolling their eyes. Did not get my order right and I just gave up. read more

My husband and I are in this store at least a couple times per week. And we can honestly say that the people that work here are very rude. For example tonight asking the deli person "excuse me do you have any more mashed potatoes? "You don't see any now do you? " "well I thought I would ask if there was any in the back" "no". I was in today and encountered a very unhappy employee named Nikki with tattoos. She told me that my dog wasn't allowed even though there were other dogs and I've been in there before. If there is a rule against dogs where are the signs? Nikki was having a bad day. Thankfully we have Target, Aldi and Walmart to shop at. read more

I was on the hunt for a fruit called a Chirimoya. I had tried it in Peru and was hoping to find it in Florida. We went into Publix looking for it and were unsuccessful on our own. When we went to ask the cashier, she was super nice and walked us over to the "produce guy" to see if he knew if Publix carried Chirimoyas. Unfortunately the produce guy said no. So as a substitute, I purchased a HUGE FLORIDA avocado. Ridiculously huge and only for $1.29. Seeing that I really wanted a Chirimoya (instead of a huge avocado), the cashier referred us to a produce market (she didn't know the name of it) and gave us relatively good driving directions on how to get there because we actually found it but it was closed. Oh well. Maybe next time. Great service, free parking Sundays, and also a small parking lot across the street. I'd recommend this Publix to anyone! read more

I shop at this Publix frequently. This is due to the fact it's relatively close to my office making it convenient to grocery shop on my break and make wise use of my time. The majority of the staff are helpful and pleasant. The store's layout is awkward yet manageable and the parking lot is my least favorite element of the store. There are a lot of questionable characters who lurk in the parking lot and in front of the store so it's important to pay attention to one's surroundings. Most of the time, West Palm Beach PD is on site and present at the front entrance of the store. The selection of certain items are minimal due to the size of the store. For example, there isn't a wide variety of health and beauty items such as lotion. As far as sale and BOGO items being well stocked, I'd say 60-75% of the time I'm able to fulfill my shopping list. Many of times I've needed to secure a raincheck for out of stock BOGOs such as Kefir and Stock unsweetened cold brew in the dairy section. I sometimes find expired items on the shelves so product rotation could be improved. Overall, this store meets my needs and the convenience factor as well as the benefit of time management make shopping here a win for me. Albeit, I wouldn't be disappointed if they remodeled in the near future. read more

The MANAGER AMBER IS A RACIST , im an African American in the store shopping with my son , its after school so he is hungry he plays sports . He asked me can he go to the deli get a cookie and some chicken of course i told him yeah , i went over the meat section while he wait in line , came back where in line to check out, he said ma the police just approached me i said why he said he told me to make sure i pay for the chicken , im very upset at this moment my child is minor im a parent why not direct it to me, I proceeded to ask him why he approached my baby he said the manager AMBER told him my son was walking around eating chicken which is untrue we walked from the deli to the line it was no reason for her to alert the authorities on a black minor eating chicken when I literally spend money in publix everyday and she knows that . And if I paid for it he can eat anything it's on the receipt SO YOU TELLING ME ITS OK TO APPROACH SOMEONE IN THE STORE ABOUT SOMETHING THEY PURCHASED WHAT MADE HER THINK HE WASNT PAYING FOR HIS FOOD . I shop here because it is the ONLY grocery store closest to where I reside. The employees are RUDE and it is allowed. I spoke to a manager and they were rude. You cannot blame the employees if they are NOT taught manners or hired because they have customer skills. It is management's fault if they hire people without training them how to speak to customers. They have police in the store. I come from Chicago and you know the reputation it has, yet there are no police guarding the store. I would give zero stars if possible! This is by far the most disgusting place that sells food that I have ever been to. The bathrooms are daily covered in feces---on the floors, toilets, and walls. No towels or towels littered all over the floor. I refuse to buy or eat anything from this store unless it is packaged outside the store premises. Where do the employees who are in food prep wash their hands? Where does the sushi guy go to wash hands? I would have absolutely no qualms about firing the entire management staff TODAY!! This is the absolute worst Publix I've been to in the state of Florida. Two night in a row, we've been here to get subs. Last night we waited over 30 minutes, whole other deli staff members were chatting and ignoring customers, only to finally get acknowledged and find out that that were out of bread. Tonight, it was over 20 minutes. We get to the window and ask for white bread, the clerk spent 5 minutes looking for bread (see pic) One staff member working, slow as can be. Went to Publix today at Rosemary Square. Spoke to Manager Beth who told me customers do not have to wear masks. Also, employees working in Meat Dept were wearing masks under their noses which is a health issue when working with meats. She told me PB County does not require customers to wear masks in store. I placed a deli order over the phone and they got the date wrong so I never got my order. I come to this Publix all the time , never have an issue but today around 8:25pm I went in to get a Publix sub and specifically wanted a chicken tender sub. When it was my turn to order a sub the lady making the subs told me they were out of chicken. If you're a regular Publix customer you know if they have the chicken on the warmers or by the refrigerators you can hand it to them so they can make the sub. The lady told me Publix doesn't do that .so I said since when , she responded I said . I was highly upset about this service someone either needs to retrain her or she should find somewhere else to work if the job is so hard for her, I went and asked they lady in the bakery about it and she said I used to work in deli and yes we do offer that service. I love shopping at publix, the prices & the customer service is great but I had to give this location 2 stars because they seem to be more focused on security than cleanliness. I was so disguised to find a tampon on the floor in the restroom, and this was after I resorted to using that stall because the other two toilets had urine all over the seats & who knows what in the toilets (I decided not to photograph those..You're welcome) it just blows my mind that they have 3 police at each entrance but not one person to clean the restrooms... I wouldn't give this publix any stars at all. Old women in the deli should retire or be fired for the way she speaks to customers and actually tells you she doesn't care if you complain to her manager or corporate office, I contained to the store manager but doubt anything was done about her. Publix deli is the worst deli to shop at they leave customers standing and waiting to be served while they chit chat with each other or act like they are busy doing something I've seen it many times and have had other customers waiting verbally complain while waiting and I don't know why they have numbers to pick to be waited on bc every publix I go to foes not utilize the number system. Publix where shopping is a nightmare should be there motto bc it's definitely not a pleasure any more, I will be going to Joseph's Italian market for my deli needs from now on, they are actually pleasant and nice to the customers. Disappointing Publix location. Being used the huge sprawl that is Publix usually, this City Place location lacks in all departments. The produce section was tiny, offering only 10 or 25 items of each selection. The store was pretty well maintained, the beer aisle had a pretty good selection but if you're looking for anything fancy, they're not going to carry it. What a treat to find such a nice grocery store near downtown and the historical and shopping districts of West Palm Beach. It is very conveniently located near City Place, which also has a very convenient parking garage. Prices were competitive; and, the people working there were very friendly. My wife and I shopped and browsed, picked up a few items; and, felt refreshed when we left. It was a very hot day; and, Publix provided a welcome respite between shopping trips. This is the worst Publix that I have ever been to. The aisles seem smaller to me as I walk through them, so I'm guessing they are smaller than in a normal Publix. Additionally, the layout does not seem to me to make intuitive sense. On one occasion, I asked an employee where something was, and he sent me to the wrong aisle. And the men's room is sometimes in visible need of a cleaning. I once witnessed the line at the deli backed up to approximately ten people long. Another time, a "customer" began a friendly conversation with me, only to eventually hit me up for money. So there is a reason why they have security working at this store. Lastly, the employees here are not particularly friendly. The CEO of Publix should visit this store and think about whether it measures up to the Publix standard. read more
