Publix is a great supermarket and the leading supermarket here in the southeastern United States. There is a lot to like about Publix. They have amazing customer service, stellar BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, affectionately known as "Pub subs." My go-to subs at Publix are most prominently their Italian, though i get the roast beef and cheese sub quite a bit, as well. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix. read more

I walk here from my 55+ community right next door at Overture! So convenient and a nice public with friendly workers

Being that I couldn't decide which one to order, I decided to make my own. Boy am I happy with my decision. I went with an Italian Hot Wrap, selected spinach for the greens, tomato, salt, garlic, mayonnaise, pepper & mustard. I paired it with the "Dirty" Potato Chips Deli Style, Sweet Potato. I feel that I HAVE to have chips with a sandwich. I've got NOTHING bad to say, it's got a LIL KICK of spicy, not really messy, I've loved every single bite. read more

I am so tired of buying Publix Italian bread from their bakery. It is stale within 1 day of purchase. The dates posted on the bread are a joke. It never stays fresh like it use to do. It use to be fresh for about 3 days and then start getting less appealing in day 4. Now to top it off the bread has huge holes in each slice. Every loaf! Someone is not doing a good job in the bakery. The bread is a mess. Perhaps a new manager of the bakery should be a consideration. No quality control. I worked a few years ago in a Publix bakery in another state. I know how the bread should look and taste...also, the dates are not at all the same. Take a look at these photos. This Publix needs an overhaul. Start with the bakery. Not every customer has several kids so that the bread should only be good for 1 day. read more

My go to! (COVID-19: Masks required to enter, a dedicated staff that stands there and wipes every cart. All employees seems to be wearing masks correctly.) What did I get Anything! Usually veggies and any BOGO deals (thats the only reason for Publix right...?) Environment In the plaza on the corner of 50 and 535. Enough parking space in the lot. Layout is as a typical Publix that I am used to. Shelves are organized and never had a problem finding that I need. They have self-checkout lanes! I know some stores don't. Niceness of the staff Staff are always nice. Those packing the shelves would greet you and some ask if need any help. Cashiers are readily available at self checkout to help with any issues. Dollar It can get pricey, but they do compare. BOGO deals are worth it. Yes? Yup, this is my go to store read more

This is specific to the pharmacy at Publix - thank you Sydney for an excellent customer service experience. It was a tough morning for our family as we needed medicine to help with unexpected illness. We trudged into Publix to pick up medicine which we were hoping would save our Disney vacation. Sydney greeted us with a big smile and warm demeanor. She made us feel welcome, answered all of our questions, and helped us purchase the medicine we needed. And yes, we enjoyed Disney World. But I thank Sydney for her compassion and her outstanding attitude toward customers - just what we needed to salvage our Florida visit. I know allot of winter garden people love this store. I don't like it for these reasons: *I'm small of stature and big pickups barrel through the stop signs for pedestrian crossings, cutting around the long light at Vineland and SR50, and inevitable I have to jump out of their way. Often!! Need big speed bumps!! And police stationed to stop people with the cut throughs. *the store is crowded with allot of special extra " look here" displays that prevent quick shops. Get them out! *they have some  organic produce and meat but they could have more!! * the store is dark and depressing. They need to paint and add warm daylight  lights. *sometimes all one needs is fresh produce. Don't hide it in the back. Make it easily accessible in the front with fresh flowers and wine. A quick in and out. People will pop in more! * I often get a grouchy clerk. Do they have long hours here?? *Some organic candles would be great too!! In the front. Quick hostess gifts. Honestly. I don't go here. I either go to the one just over lake county line in Clermint. Or go all the way to Stonerbrook west. A smaller store but nice. Compact with friendly staff. read more

You know I read some other reviews & most are 1-off experiences or gripes about things that Publix has nothing to do with (like traffic in the parking lot or how people choose to drive). I love Publix! Sure this one isn't perfect, no place is, but overall they work hard to keep everything stocked and CLEAN. I appreciate MOST that they stay open til 10p EVERY. NIGHT. Of the week. Around here that's rare & special, esp for a night owl & parent who sometimes needs to grab something w/o kids in tow. Parking here sucks. I just waited in line for 15 minutes to get the BOGO chicken sandwich. This sandwich is not worth 2 dollars, let alone $4. But more importantly was the speed of service, or the lack of employees. I can go to any other Publix and be in and out in half the time read more

There are better Publix to go to, but this is the one closest to my house. Overall, the experience is good. I especially love that they have Boars head products. There are some cashiers and baggers that I love getting and others I know now to avoid. read more

While I was shopping at Publix today at approximately 5 PM EST. located at West Point Commons 13750 West Colonial Drive, Winter Garden Florida. I was finishing my order at the deli counter when one of the associates being to help a lady standing next to me. The lady asked the associate for a particular type of cheese. The associate said that he couldn't find the cheese. So, the lady took it upon herself to lift the glass where all the deli meats and cheeses are stored and grab the cheese and hand it to the associate. I told the associate that cheese and the meats in the whole container was now contaminated because she put her hands inside the container and not only did she touch the cheese but she touch whatever meats or cheeses that was close the cheese that she grab, the associate told me that he was just going to wipe down that cheese and it will be good. When I told the lady that she was wrong she told me that she does this all the time when they are busy and I need to mind my business. I went to find a manager and I explained to him what took place. The manager told me that he would remove all of the meat and cheese in the container because they are not considered to be contaminated. While I was there the manager did not tell the associates to remove the meats but allowed the associates to continue to serve meats and cheeses from that same container which now contaminated. Who knows if this lady has the coronavirus or not. My concern is that since she put her hands in the deli container and said this something she does all the time, anyone that may order meats or cheeses from that container may catch the coronavirus and Publix will be responsible for their illness or deaths. I already contacted my local TV stations about this and I a posting online media because people need to be aware. What is wrong with people, do we need to die before we learn to respect each other. read more

Quite typical of a Publix was the impression from our short stop in this seldom visited Publix. Had what we needed and found plenty of open registers so checkout ines were not ridiculous. I do recall when Publix use to run a commercial showing three grocery carts filled from (2) other competing grocery stores, attesting they were surprisingly the more competitive choice. I'm sure they would not pass that te$t today as they are surviving beyond many of their competitors like Albertsons, Goodings, Winn Dixie, Kash N Karry, and many others. read more

I like this store but the deli is a nightmare. There is never anyone to slice meat because the employees are busy making subs and take out food. You just stand there and wait while they keep saying "We will be right with you" If you order in advance, it is never ready. Maybe they should hire some more people. Late in the evening deli meat is sitting on a bakery rack while they take meat off of it to cut and it sits there for a very long time. Complaining changes nothing in this store. read more

This is the Publix closest to my house and I'm so glad it is. I've shopped at lots of grocery stores and so far this one wins. It's always clean, the carts move smoothly, and they don't mind if I let my dog sit in the cart if we walk there. There is a very nice young man who works in the bakery who is very attentive and helpful. One time he even baked me a fresh baguette while I was shopping because all of the other ones were old. Talk about FRESH! The produce and meats are always fresh as well. Plus you gotta love those buy one get one deals. And they accept coupons from a few other stores, which I love! read more

Went to customer service to purchase one item (diapers) and get a few $20 bills broken down. Rakeem was helping me and he was wonderful. But his colleague or boss, Nick, Interrupted our transaction and said that they were low on $10 bills. It would have been a pleasant experience if Nick had not been involved. read more

This is a fantastic Publix. The employees always say hello and ask if there is anything they can help you with. They even do special requests. I can only eat organic fruit and I asked for cherries and without hesitation, they got my phone number and said they would call when they arrive and they sure did! This might look like an older Publix on the outside, but the inside is fresh, clean l, and well maintained. I'm always surprised what great shape their shopping carts all always kept. Friendly staff. Great selection. read more

There are far better Publix to go to less about a mile down the road. This one is the closest one to my house, but I choose to go to others farther away. The store itself is small and they're often out of stock or don't carry what I'm looking for. The liquor store attached always has these 2 men sitting outside harassing people to buy their leaf art or to give them money. They seem to be buddies with someone who works inside so when you complain, they do nothing about it. Customer service inside has a lot to be desired. Just had a stocker ask me how I was, then proceeds to tell me he'll be a lot better when he's off work in a few minutes. Like, I don't want to know that. Promptly after I went to the 10 items or less line to have the cashier COMPLETELY ignore me. Literally did not say a word to me. No hello, no goodbye, didn't tell me my total, anything. Instead she was too busy trying to flag down someone to take over her register so she could go on break.... I'll go to target up the street and pay more money, for better service. read more

I usually LOVE Publix, but this publix was disappointing. The people here are friendly, and I haven't had to wait in lines for too long, but for the love of god can you please install cart return stations in the parking lot?? I came by at 7:30 pm and the parking lot was LITTERED with carts, blocking all the closest spots to the front! It was so frustrating! I tried to not park so far away since it was dark outside, but I had no choice. You can do better, Publix!!! read more

We switched our pharmacy from the Walgreens right in front of Publix to Publix. I am so much happier and it seems like I never have issues with their pharmacy. It's nice to be able to get my grocery shopping done while I wait for my script, never takes too much time and the pharmacy staff is always friendly. read more

It's not the newest, best stocked or fanciest Publix but the quality of service and the overall attitude of their employees make it one of the best I've been in. Especially the pharmacy. Denise is who I've personally worked with and I can't say enough about how she and everyone I've dealt with in their department has gone out of their way to help me manage my prescriptions and find the best deal for me. When they could just let me deal with excessive costs they research and find affordable options. I've been going to this store steadily since July 2018 and will continue to do so because of the wonderful people who work there and don't get enough recognition for the service they provide. read more

It's amazing how the location of the Publix changes the quality of service you receive. In this case, this Publix has offered quality service on each visit (as opposed to South Florida). Whether it's the fast service at their pharmacy, kindness at their deli or assistance from their baggers, I have yet to have a negative experience here. read more
