Kristin's (the owner/chief yogini) teacher training (YTT200) incorporates anatomy along the way of the coursework with an optional YTT100 personal development program, only attending the first half. The latter is good for those looking to grow in the understanding of their practice without the commitment to a full six months, or with no inkling to teach. Kristin organizes yoga immersion trips annually. This year Peru and Bhutan. Next year Italy is back on the schedule. I am glad, that with some encouragement from my husband to do something I once enjoyed, I found my way back on the mat. When I landed there at Sanctuary Power Yoga, I found a piece of the peace I'd been seeking. Heather and her amazing team have been incredibly supportive. Always welcoming, they have encouraged me during my personal health journey and celebrated wins along the way--yes, even when I joyfully exclaimed "I did a push-up!" at the end of class. I appreciate the gentle reminders that are provided throughout any class to listen to your body, let go of comparison, and approach each practice with grace. "In your own time, in your own way." The spacious yoga studio full of mats is quite a sight! A truly awesome place that brings together a booming supportive community that expands beyond those walls. I loved the outdoor classes at the park and lake this summer with birds swooping in to join. Yoga has somehow become a part of my regular routine, not just for my body, but for my mind and spirit. The instructors are prepared, informative, and ready to modify sequences if students arrive with injuries. Students are encouraged to go to their "edge" and try poses, albeit listening to sensations within the body is also important to prevent injuries. After the 75 minute class relaxation is the sensation students feel. Then the teachers are available to answer questions or concerns. Vinyasa, Trauma, Yin/Yang, Gentle, Restorative, Meditation, Workshops, and Kid and Family classes are all available. I recommend this gem of a studio in the center of Simsbury. Pat

We live close by, it's only a half mile away from our house -- within walking distance ! The place had a "Rustic vibe", with an industrial look, we liked the atmosphere as soon as we had walked in. We ordered a calamari appetizer and a dozen Sweet & Spicy Wings to start off with. My wife also went with a Malibu Dream cocktail for her drink (it was outstanding). Calamari was excellent, marinara was spot on. Wings were meaty with a crispy outing coating, and the sauce was flavorful, but not overpowering. My wife's Steak sandwich was served on fresh grinder roll, the ribeye melted in her mouth (I sampled a bit of it, and plan to order the Steak sandwich on my next visit to Mulligans). My Caesar salad was also very fresh tasting. Service was stellar, Carolina was friendly & attentive. Mulligans is a Winner, an easy 5 Star rating. We plan to be back again very soon.
