Stopped by the Waikoloa location for a quick snack after a long day at the pool. First impression walking in was really good -- the place is clean, modern, and has a nice family-friendly vibe. Good music playing, plenty of seating, and overall a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the Blue Hawaiian/Strawberry Swirl, a root beer float, and mint chocolate chip loaded with candy toppings. Everything tasted really good and the ice cream itself was super flavorful. My only small complaint is the extra charge for each topping. Paying $0.50 per topping can add up pretty quickly. A couple other minor things: the lights kept turning off because of the motion sensors, and the young lady at the counter didn't seem very enthusiastic about helping explain the ordering process after we mentioned it was our first time there. The interaction felt a little rushed. That said, the ice cream was definitely good enough for me to come back again while I'm on the island for the next few days. This dessert soft serve shop is incredible. We are taro fiends, and their desserts featuring taro were exquisite. The sixes are beyond generous, and we definitely should have ordered less than we did. We got a shake and a huge soft serve, but we would have been fine with just one. (Maybe not, as our family loves ice cream very much). Our child really enjoyed all their adorable panda decorations, and the whole experience was really sweet, including their temperature changing spoons. Service was so quick because we happened to be the only ones there. Wonderfully kind staff, and it was an easy ordering experience at the counter. With such a cute name, who could resist? We really really wanted to like Pudgee Panda but the specials were too sweet for our taste. Very clean, open and bright. We ate out on a little bench outside. Person at the counter was very friendly, wore gloves - nice to see food safety in action. Ordered: Hau-u-Bebe - love the color, all was just too sweet. Lilikoi Chili Peppa was a delicious flavor, tangy, and then chili pepper came and kind of ruined the experience. A dash would be fine, but it was too much. Perhaps try a basic flavor and may not be too sweet? I'm sure the kids would love this place with all the colors, syrups and toppings. Just not our thing. I wanted ice cream for dessert and found this place when doing a quick search - and I'm so glad I did! The ice cream was delicious and unique, I had never seen some of these flavors as soft serve!! Definitely recommend stopping by! I recommend the butter pecan with fruity pebbles! My husband had the blue Hawaiian and strawberry swirl - he also loved his! The regular was much bigger than we both expected! The employee was SO KIND! She let me try flavors and even added an extra topping when I couldn't decide between them. Mehhhh.. We got the Hau U Bebe and Lilikoi chili peppah which were pretty good - 3 stars for these two. My daughter got the mango with fruity pebbles topping and the mango flavor tasted gross, and not like mango at all. It had almost a chemical flavor. I even asked if it was supposed to have a liquid yellow filling? She assured me that's the mango flavor. I definitely recommend skipping the mango flavor, we wish we did. Also, they ran out of chocolate and they recommended vanilla with chocolate syrup so I said sure! Nope, not good. I was picturing like a fudge chocolate topping, but it tasted like a cheap chocolate syrup. The vanilla and mango were not tasty at all. I think if you stick to the top rated ones you may enjoy it, but it wasn't what we were expecting. It was more icy texture rather than creamy soft serve texture. read more

My special needs granddaughter and I stop by regularly for her keiki vanilla swirl with strawberry syrup and poppers and I will have one of their drinks. My favorite drink is the Java float made with vanilla swirl and coffee. They have a large menu and we are slowly sampling new items. The shop is new, clean, well decorated and welcoming. The service has been exceptional every time we have visited. The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and patient especially with my granddaughter. I've visited both locations on the Big Island, and I believe the experience varies depending on what you order. At the Waikoloa spot, I tried their ice cream cone, but it was a letdown. The cone came out of a store-bought box and tasted stale, plus it was pricey. However, at the Pahoa location, I opted for a protein shake advertised at my gym, Fitness Forever. It contained macadamia nut milk, banana, blueberries, peanut butter, and protein powder. While it was tasty, it was also on the expensive side. I'd consider getting the protein shake again if I needed a quick post-workout protein fix. The service was good at both locations. There is seating if you want to sit and eat/drink at both locations. Would seem like a good idea to grab a protein drink with a workout buddy after hitting the gym. read more

The ingredients are all unique creations and they were wonderful. I had the Hau-U-Bebe Signature Swirl and my wife had the Lilikoi Chili Peppah. Although we both ordered the keiki size, it was large enough to satisfy and the taste was so fresh and uniquely original. Ridiculously good and adorable, this new frozen desserts spot is so unique from everything I've ever had before...using local ingredients (which means supporting local farmers!) like Lilikoi, Hawaiian chili pepper, ube, dragon fruit, and they are always looking for other local sources. I sampled the Lilikoi chili peppah swirl, and it was so yummy! And I got the keiki size Hau-U-Bebe (Ube vanilla swirl topped with ube condensed milk and coconut flakes)...So yummy and not too sweet. And then I got a Thai Tea with freshly brewed matcha and boba, and that was heaven in a cup! Onolicious! The owner and staff are so friendly and explained all the items. So tough to choose! And another great thing is that they also have healthy smoothies with add-ons like protein powder, Ghost BCAA, and Redcon pre-workout. So, really they have something for everyone, including your PUP with their lactose-free mini swirl topped with a dog treat! You all are amazing!
