All the yummy treats from other Island Vintage Coffees. Our faves are the island latte which is the perfect balance of espresso, milk and coconut flavours. We also had the açaí bowl which was yummy.
I wanted to try some authentic acai bowl. With a quick Yelp search, I stumbled upon this restaurant. Fortunately, it was a quick walk from our hotel. They did have free parking incase anyone needed to drive. As soon as I arrived, there was a short line and it moved quickly. I was blown away by the variety of acai bowl options they offered. I got the original acai bowl with some pineapple. The bowl came out pretty quickly. The portion size was good. I couldn't wait to dig in. The fruits were fresh and tasty. All the ingredients were in correct proportion. I liked the fact that the bowl was not too sweet. I wished they had the option of adding mango though. Given it was summer season, I was expecting more fruit varieties but maybe they don't grow locally. Overall, I highly recommend checking out this cafe for acai bowl. The acai berries are delicious! The ambience is welcoming!
Island Vintage Coffee quickly became one of my favorite breakfast spots to go to during my trip to Hawaii. I visited twice--once with my mom for smoothies and another time for an açaí bowl--and both visits were enjoyable. The first time we went was around 10:00 am, and the line was very long, so I'd definitely recommend getting there earlier if you want to avoid the crowd. I ordered the Lanai Smoothie, while my mom got the Kauai Smoothie, and both were delicious. My Lanai smoothie tasted incredibly fresh, with ripe tropical fruit and a good portion size. On my second visit, I arrived around 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and ordered the 16 oz. Lilikoi Moana Açaí Bowl with no honey. As an açaí bowl lover, it was hard choosing from all the delicious sounding options. The line was much shorter, but it still took about 15 minutes for my bowl to be ready, which felt a little long for an açaí bowl. That being said, the staff was very friendly and made sure my order was prepared exactly as requested without the honey. The bowl is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality made up for it. The açaí had the perfect consistency-- it was not too hard and not too soft--and all of the toppings tasted fresh. My favorite part was the fresh papaya, which added a nice tropical flavor and made the bowl stand out. Overall, I'd come back for both the smoothies and the açaí bowl, and I'd recommend stopping by if you're looking for a fresh, high-quality breakfast or snack.
It took over 30 minutes for 4 drinks and two toasted items The man that was behind the counter is a little rude It is with open doors and little bugs were out today. Starbucks was closed.
I got the frozen chai and my sister had the frozen matcha, both were super refreshing and hit the spot. I also ordered the avocado toast with an added egg, and it was delicious with a really generous portion size. The chili flakes and pickled onions on top added so much flavor. They also have nice outdoor seating, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a great place to relax and grab a tasty bite!
It goes without saying that I am obsessed with this place. We ate here 5 out of the 6 nights we were on the Big Island, usually early in the morning except for our first visit right after our flight. Everything on their menu is good. Over the course of our trip, we ordered acai bowls, coffee, matcha, avocado toast, a vegetarian open bagel, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. Every single thing was so good. Everyone working here was super kind, and I loved that they gave us suggestions for the drinks, especially the coffee and matcha.
This is a common, touristy coffee place in Hawaii but we still like to visit. I don't feel the prices are too high and this store is located in a great area. It tends to get very busy but service is quick and they are on top of it. Nice and friendly staff. The coffee is good and wakes you up! Merchandise is cute too. So much to choose from.
Nice place to get a quick breakfast or lunch offering a good menu to keep everyone happy. We came here a few times during our visit to the BI with 3 generations of family and everyone was able to find things they liked. They are also very efficient and have a big friendly staff, so don't panic if it seems crowded! They serve up some Kona coffee options which is a nice boost for a day of exploring. The coconut milkshake is also very delicious, highly recommend trying. I ordered the bagel sandwich comes on a brightly colored taro bagel.
Island Vintage Coffee is the kind of place that earns repeat visits on a family vacation. We came here at least 3 times during our trip. One day our party of 7 grabbed lunch and sat outside. I had the B.A.L.T. and it was yummy and filling. I paired it with the coconut milkshake and subbed coconut milk, though note it still has dairy since it's made with gelato. We came back another time for a Kona cold brew (so good!!), and just missed the kitchen cutoff at 2pm. Third visit was the busiest with a line, but still worth the wait. We shared the breakfast plate and an açaí bowl and everything hit the spot. Would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a reliable, crowd-pleasing stop.
Great coffee as usual! After visiting my first location in Maui years ago and visiting another in Oahu, I had to continue my love for Island Vintage Coffee and visit this location. Same as usual, great as usual, I cannot complain. Their coffee, especially my favorite, Hojicha Latte, still tastes as great as I remember. Overall, I still recommend!
Long lines so I'd say come earlier in the day. Was pretty crowded when we arrived at 9am. We got the Waikaloa Moana bowl (top notch) They messed up my husband's almond croissant and gave a regular croissant instead, which was a bummer because we were in a hurry and it was a long wait. So we left.
Obsessed with the banana Kona mocha!!! Plenty of space in/outside the coffee shop. Great spot for the family and kiddos too. I came here back to back days because it's just that delicious. When looking around you can tell everyone was here for either the coffee or açaí bowls!! Just a heads up there are chickens and birds that come in and say hi.
I visit Island Vintage Coffee every single time I'm in Hawaii, so this review is long overdue. Their coffee is consistently amazing--smooth, flavorful, and exactly what you want while soaking in island vibes. And the açaí bowls? Absolutely top-tier. Fresh, perfectly balanced, and hands down some of the best I've had anywhere. If you're visiting Hawaii and don't stop here, you're seriously missing out. Highly recommend!

I admit it, I am an açaí bowl snob. I am picky about my ingredients and don't waste my time on mediocrity. With that said, know that we came here twice in 3 days for the Wailua Moana bowl. It's that good. This little coffee shop does a lot of business. The line wasn't long though and they work quickly preparing the food with love and attention to detail. You can eat inside or out with lots of tables to choose from. The açaí itself was a bit soft, but I liked that it wasn't hard as a rock. The granola was great. The berries and banana were plentiful. The big scoop of coconut peanut butter was fabulous and the honey and chocolate on top were the crowning achievement. It was an A+ in my book, and that is saying a lot. read more
We came here practically every day during our vacation. The iced Island Latte was consistent every time. So good, but so pricey. The açaí bowl was tasty, the original one, but again, pricey for the portion. The lilikoi açaí bowl was too sweet but had a little bit more in portion compared to the original bowl that looked half filled. They don't put a lot of fruit, unfortunately. Their chicken pesto panini was delicious and a great portion. I ate half for breakfast and saved the other half for the plane ride home. It's alright inside. I bought their granola and salted caramel sauce to take home. read more

Truly a vibe in such a gorgeous place. The nature inspired, sunlit, modern decor Hawaiian accents brighter your day as soon as you walk in. Conveniently located in King's Shop with patio seating to enjoy the nature's paradise. There's more than just coffee, lattes but also food, pastries and merchandise for the Hawaiian vistor and coffee lovers. The Island Latte was recommended for me as I was wanting to have something unique to Kona. A 16oz flavored latte, lite ice, with macadamia nut and coconut syrup. Simply delicious! Really glad we were introduced to their açaí bowls and coffee while visiting Kona. This place is a fantastic spot to get your açaí bowl and coffee fix. They have a wide variety selection of açaí bowls and coffees. The presentation of the açaí bowls are stunning. Very vibrant colors and taste delicious and healthy. Not to mention it's not too sweet either. I felt in loved with their açaí bowls! Service was good and friendly. I would definitely recommend. read more

Açaí bowl!! They have several choices with fresh, yummy toppings. I shared with my husband. I wish I ordered my own. It was that good. Probably one of the best I've ever eaten. The coffee here was also on point!! Hawaiian coffee really is worthy of the hype. Lots of space in this coffee shop. It's wide open- so not a private quiet coffee shop. Very friendly!! read more

The açaí bowls were really tasty and a decent portion for the price. It did take a while to get the açaí bowls (30 min!) but they only had one person making all of them. The Haupia cream on the açaí was the best part. Banana bread was ok. Coffee was good, not the most amazing but pretty decent. Lots of seating outside and a bit inside. If you can order ahead, that would be the way to go. Though I don't think you can order the açaí bowl so regardless you may be in for a wait on that one. read more

Found this place in Waikoloa as we were staying across the street in the Marriott and this little plaza was conveniently within walking distance. As soon as we discovered them for breakfast and coffee we went there each morning we were there! Service is so welcoming and friendly! They are very tentative and accommodating. It only took a few minutes to get my coffee and our bacon breakfast bagel sandwiches. The sandwiches were 10/10 perfectly cooked, fresh ingredients, tasty and BIG. I got a cappuccino and they also made it perfectly foamy and strong. The cafe is pretty big they've got some souvenirs they sell, a few places to sit inside and many outside. I'd for sure visit the island vintage coffee if and when we come back to Waikoloa! read more

I am always on the search for the best acai bowl. Island Vintage Coffee's Haupia Moana bowl is pretty up there in ranks in my book. The combination of the texture of their blended acai, granola sprinkled in building it like a parfait, with bananas, papaya, raspberries, the scoop of Haupia ice cream is what takes it to another level. Drizzled with honey. They get busy so use their online ordering and skip the line. read more
Island Vintage Coffee is a bright little coffee shop in the shopping center near our hotel, the Hilton Grand Waikoloa.. It was the Acai Bowl I was after, a true Hawiian classic. It did not disappoint. Hearty enough to share with my daughter. I couldn't have eaten the entire bowl myself. The fresh Acai berries, the divine Haupia cream on top made for a most delicious breakfast to start our day on the Big Island. 8 read more

DAY 4 of Vacation - Second coffee cup of the day! Found this spot while walking around Kings' Shops. My mission in Hawaii was to visit as many local Kona coffee shops as I can. Parking: Large parking lot. Finding a spot is easy. Free parking. Ambiance/Environment: This is a cute coffee shop. It was decorated for Halloween when we visited. Love the open space inside. They have merch in the center of the shop with indoor seating around. They also have outdoor seating. Service: Shout out to Kenyarae! She took our order and was patient, efficient, and knowledgable about the menu. We asked her a few questions about the menu, and she was able to answer them all and even gave us good recommendations. What we ordered: 1) Hawaiian Honey Latte - This was recommended to me. It contained 100% Hawaiian honey w/ cinnamon. This wasn't overly sweet; you could still taste the coffee. The honey & cinnamon flavors went well together. I really enjoyed my drink! 2) Ginger Chai Latte - My BIL ordered this. This is only offered as a hot drink with almond milk. I'm not a chai person, but I still took a sip of his drink. There is a light ginger taste, but you can taste the chai more. 3) Frozen Matcha Green Tea - This is as it sounds .. a blended matcha drink. My FIL ordered this. He mentioned it tasted as expected. The matcha flavor came through and it didn't melt as fast. 4) Tropical Sensation - My MIL ordered this. This drink contains guava nectar, ginger-peach tea, & fresh berries. She really liked her drink! She mentioned it was very refreshing, especially after walking around in the heat. 5) Waialua Moana Bowl - Of course my bf ordered this. He loooves acai bowls. This bowl contains acai topped with Wailua dark chocolate, Big Island cacao nibs, house made coconut peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, berries, granola, & Big Island organic raw white honey. There was a generous amount of granola. He preferred more acai than toppings. Despite that, he liked the fresh fruits and peanut butter. read more

I love their coffee. The Hawaiian honey latte is super good. But dang for almost $10 with oat milk sheesh. The workers all seemed kinda rude too and in a rush I guess tourists are annoying lol located in the kings shops right across the hotels. read more

Starting with--we make our own coffee, so we didn't order coffee. This is a great coffee/casual breakfast spot just outside the Waikoloa Marriott. We were staying in the hotel for a few days and came for breakfast. We split the bagel sandwich and the Haupia Moana Açai bowl and both were delicious! So we had to do the same the next day. The bagel sandwich is a 5/5 on the messy scale, so if you're committing to that, grab a handful of napkins. The first day, it had a tarp or ube bagel (the purple one) that was so fluffy and delicious! The next day it was a hard plain bagel (in photo) which made a real difference in the taste of the sandwich. It would have been nice if they'd asked if we wanted it with a plain bagel. To the açai bowl I added peanut butter, because why not!? Highly recommend for breakfast and prices are reasonable for the island. read more
