This shop is literally the GOAT of coffee shops this trip to Hawai'i! Of course, I got the honey goat, half sweet, with mac nut milk (they have macadamia milk!) instead of oat. It was still a bit sweet for my taste, but I'm sure everyone else would've found it the perfect combination. The barista said it's their most popular, and I can see why. The last time I was in the shop, a couple of years ago, there wasn't as much merch. This time - shoppers' paradise! Local snacks, bags and knickknacks, and so much more. Many of the offerings are made locally, so this is a great way to support small, independent businesses over corporations. The parking lot is expansive compared to other shops in downtown areas (Hilo or Kona), there's outdoor seating (although it's usually hot) and public bathrooms nearby. Easy stop on the way to Kailua Kona. Popped in for a quick cup of 100% Kona Coffee. the med size was only $3.50! Coffee was superb. Evidently lots of people know about this place as it was super busy with locals and takeouts. Easy parking in the lot. I came here and ordered the mango sunset beverage, which was very refreshing! It comes with kona grown mango black tea, mixed with lilikoi lemonade. Very good price - only 4 dollars for a twelve ounce drink. The only reason I gave 4 stars is there was quite a bit of ice in the drink. About 3/4 of the cup was filled with ice. It's easy to see this big coffee house next to the main highway. I had just drank an iced coffee from another nearby coffee house. Since I was here I ordered a small drip coffee and it turned out really good. The flavor was very bold and didn't have a bitter taste like some other coffee on the island. We had a 2 hour layover in Kona before our connecting flight back to the mainland. The airport was small and didn't seem too busy, so we decided to venture out for some coffee and goodies. Looked at Yelp and found that Kona Mountain Coffee was less than 10 mins away. We called Lyft and off we went. This coffee spot is in a small plaza with a couple of other restaurants and a small market. The shop has a nice variety of items. Perfect for tourist like us haha. We bought some tumblers and this awesome macadamia nut toffee. As for the coffee, I ordered an Iced Mauna Kea Coffee. It was very good. The Mac Nut and White Chocolate flavors didn't over power the coffee flavor, which I liked. I should've gotten a larger size, but I knew we were flying out soon and didn't want to keep going to the bathroom haha. The workers were quick, which was perfect because we still needed to head back to the airport. We love chatting with the employees here, buying treats, gifts and souvenirs. You can also order more items when you get home. Best coffee on the island! We came here multiple times during our trip and it never disappointed. If you're heading south from the airport, it's super close and easy to stop by. Every single person working here was so friendly, smiley, and just genuinely seemed happy to be there. Such good energy. The shop itself is really cute, warm, and inviting. They also have a bunch of fun candy, coffee, and random little goodies. It made the place feel way more personal and unique than a typical coffee shop. Huge shout-out to the staff working the day I placed a mobile order. It said it'd be ready in 15 minutes, but I guess it was finished early. When I walked in, the staff member had already placed our blended drinks in the freezer to keep them cold. I love that they do that.
