We were so excited to see this restaurant pop up on in-kind. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Stunning paintings and really nice decor. Unfortunately that's about where any of the positives end. Service was absolutely horrendous. It was a solid five minutes before we were even acknowledged. She took our order, I asked for chips and salsa. She said she would bring them, and then never came back. We flagged down another server and she brought them for us. Our food was delivered about two minutes later And again, no one ever came back. We had to flag down another server for boxes and our check. The food wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't say it was good, either. More just edible. The extreme amount of MSG made it extremely offputting and left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. We really wanted to love this place since it's only about seven minutes from our house... Went to Pueblita after family had mentioned how delicious it was! They have SO many affordable options, full service bar, and plenty of seating and TV's. Great for a family dinner or a hang at the bar to watch sports. The food was delicious and service was kind. Found this place online as we were looking specifically for menudo. Not all restaurants serve it on days other than Saturdays or Sundays. We'll this was the day after Christmas on Friday and sure enough the other 3 places I called did not serve it today...until I call Pueblita. When the hostess told me they had it, we jumped in the car and got there quick. We each ordered a bowl of menudo which came with coice of corn or flour tortillas, onions, cilantro, oregano, and lemons on the side. The menudo was hot and flavorful. The portion was generous at a very reasonable price of about $14.00. We noticed many other menu items that were also reasonably priced. We'll definitely return next time we're in town. read more

Let me start by saying that I'm always looking for Mexican breakfast spots around the city of Ontario where I live. Now I work in Montclair so I tried this place at the suggestions of yelpers. This place is somewhat big compared to other Mexican restaurants, but when I walked in, it wasn't that packed. The staff was friendly and took my order right away. That's where it ends. The food was just OK. I ordered Chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and I asked for them to add ham to my scrambled eggs. 10 minutes later the waiter comes back and tells me that the kitchen cannot do that. Again, I'm always looking for good Mexican breakfast spots, and I've always been accommodated as to how I want my eggs with ham added it to them. That really bothered me because again I'm paying for my food. I'm not asking for it for free. So to end my review I'll say that the Chilaquiles were just OK and I've seen more egg on chicken fried rice. The service!! Came in and was told to wait a few minutes to be seated, 15 to 20 minutes later was still waiting. Meanwhile it looked like other customers got tired of waiting and left. Other customers too were waiting for chips and drinks still did not get while we were there. The waitress/hostess made a drink for other customers and it must have not made right because they sent it back, so she was starting to remake it again and I finally had it and spoke out and asked her if she was planning on seating us and and she replied I told you it would be a few minutes. But even without the construction, I feel it's not a good location even though it's on a busy street (Benson). My wife found this restaurant online and she liked the menu, so we thought we'd try it out with our friends. We walked into a busy but not crowded restaurant. The waitress sat us almost immediately. They didn't have regular booths like we like when we go with a group, but they seated us at a table that had regular chairs on one side and padded bench seats along the wall. There was empty tables all around but they wanted to clean a certain table for us to sit down. Got seated and it took a while for them to get our drink orders. Which we just got water and a lemonade. I went from far away to celebrate my birthday to this place and try it with my partner and I didn't like it, the customer service was very bad, we arrived and they served us almost 20 minutes later or more and I thought maybe they are super busy, but they hardly had any people and those who arrived after us were served quickly.
