We were so excited to see this restaurant pop up on in-kind. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Stunning paintings and really nice decor. Unfortunately that's about where any of the positives end. Service was absolutely horrendous. It was a solid five minutes before we were even acknowledged. She took our order, I asked for chips and salsa. She said she would bring them, and then never came back. We flagged down another server and she brought them for us. Our food was delivered about two minutes later And again, no one ever came back. We had to flag down another server for boxes and our check. The food wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't say it was good, either. More just edible. The extreme amount of MSG made it extremely offputting and left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. We really wanted to love this place since it's only about seven minutes from our house... The birria flautas were crispy and packed with flavor, and the Torta Chingona layered with carne asada and chile relleno was hearty and delicious. Found this place online as we were looking specifically for menudo. Not all restaurants serve it on days other than Saturdays or Sundays. We'll this was the day after Christmas on Friday and sure enough the other 3 places I called did not serve it today...until I call Pueblita. When the hostess told me they had it, we jumped in the car and got there quick. We each ordered a bowl of menudo which came with coice of corn or flour tortillas, onions, cilantro, oregano, and lemons on the side. The menudo was hot and flavorful. The portion was generous at a very reasonable price of about $14.00. We noticed many other menu items that were also reasonably priced. We'll definitely return next time we're in town. read more

My wife and I order our drinks we order non sweet iced tea we ask for some sweeteners got our drinks never our sweetener then I had to ask for the chips and salsa because they never offer us non. Then we place our order I order a albóndigas and wife order the chicken mole with all the condiments on the side. When my wife got her mole never got condiments on the side my wife said the mole didn't taste like mole no sweet take or no flavor not good at all then when I got my albóndigas I don't know but it tasted like they got the albóndigas and put them inside a fish soup didn't taste like albóndigas at all it was sour and tasted more like caldo de pescado more then albóndigas then our dishes smell like dirty smell like when they was the dish with a dirty sponge that funky smell our waitress was nice but the service was not the best I don't think I will be coming back or recommending this place at all was not happy at all. read more

Let me start by saying that I'm always looking for Mexican breakfast spots around the city of Ontario where I live. Now I work in Montclair so I tried this place at the suggestions of yelpers. This place is somewhat big compared to other Mexican restaurants, but when I walked in, it wasn't that packed. The staff was friendly and took my order right away. That's where it ends. The food was just OK. I ordered Chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and I asked for them to add ham to my scrambled eggs. 10 minutes later the waiter comes back and tells me that the kitchen cannot do that. Again, I'm always looking for good Mexican breakfast spots, and I've always been accommodated as to how I want my eggs with ham added it to them. That really bothered me because again I'm paying for my food. I'm not asking for it for free. So to end my review I'll say that the Chilaquiles were just OK and I've seen more egg on chicken fried rice. Very disappointed one last point I asked for an agua de Jamaica.. well if that wasn't the smallest cup EVER!!! very disappointed, would not be coming back. I do not recommend. read more

But even without the construction, I feel it's not a good location even though it's on a busy street (Benson). My wife found this restaurant online and she liked the menu, so we thought we'd try it out with our friends. We walked into a busy but not crowded restaurant. The waitress sat us almost immediately. They didn't have regular booths like we like when we go with a group, but they seated us at a table that had regular chairs on one side and padded bench seats along the wall. Had the chicken fajitas... what a surprise, a couple small portion of chicken and what was more surprising is that it had no bell peppers at all. Instead it was just carrots and celery . There was empty tables all around but they wanted to clean a certain table for us to sit down. Got seated and it took a while for them to get our drink orders. Which we just got water and a lemonade. The service wasn't the best but it was still pretty decent. They served chips and salsa but I don't think one bowl was enough for my party. The restaurants interior was pretty nice. Very homey and a lot of art work. They also have a changing table in the restroom which was nice. They finally got our order and i know the food was made fresh but it took almost an hr just to get our food. I don't mind it being fresh but we had kids with us and they were so hungry.
