Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had. When we arrived, we asked if we could sit in one of the booths and were told they were being reserved for the band. The "band" ended up being one man performing, so we accepted the explanation and sat elsewhere. A few minutes later, another couple walked in, asked for a booth, and was seated there without any issue. That immediately made us feel like we weren't valued as customers. It was Taco Tuesday, and we were excited to see fresh tortillas being made. Unfortunately, instead of serving fresh tortillas, they opened the container holding older tortillas and plated those for us. We ordered three different meats, but when our food arrived, every single item was cold. The tortillas were so cold they had become hard and stiff instead of soft and fresh. When we mentioned it to the staff, we were told the food gets cold because they have a fan blowing directly toward it. That's not really an acceptable explanation Between the inconsistent seating, poor customer service, and cold, flavorless food, the experience was extremely disappointing. We left feeling unwelcome, and the food itself was far from the authentic Mexican cuisine we were hoping for. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

Second time trying out this place. Food was good! We had chicken fajitas which were really tender and juicy. Not dry at all. We also had the carne asada. Super tender meat and well seasoned. Definitely coming back for the carne asada. Service was quick and pleasant- anything we needed they were available to bring it over. Let me share first they have a lunch Buffet. We first looked at the buffet at 11:10 am and its appearance was not very appealing. We decided to order from the menu. We ordered chorizo and eggs also green chile Burritos and both were excellent. Large portions, very hot, fresh and flavorful. A little disappointed that their Soda machine was out of order so water or Tea were your choices. Salsa was great chips were fresh. At 12 noon the Buffet was fresh, stocked and we learned they make street Tacos up where the lady was making fresh tortillas (corn were excellent) servers might share or elaborate a little more about the buffet. Been here a few times it was good food and good service but we went a few days ago...not so much. My burrito had cold unmelted cheese in it and it was a wet burrito that had unmelted cheese on top as well, not too much flavor in the beans or wet sauce, very bland, so I had to smother it in the salsa we'd received with the chips. My son's burrito had an overload of semi cooked rice (hard) and barely any meat. My husband's burrito was small and barely had any beef compared to rice and beans.. Wasn't offered refills on our soft drinks. So we will not return. Sadly because our family used to enjoy this place. I've been a loyal customer and always order the same Caldo with extra veggies and extra meat. The restaurant used to charge me an extra $5 for the additions, which was completely reasonable. Now all of a sudden the owner changed the pricing and said they're going to charge me for an entire extra Caldo instead. I understand prices can change, but charging for a whole extra soup when I'm just adding extras feels excessive and unfair, especially after consistently ordering the same thing for so long without any issue. It was disappointing to be treated differently after being a regular customer. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression. Terrible service for mediocre food the food actually had a lot of flavor but we Google searched for a location and found them based off of this advertisement all you can eat buffet on the weekends for 17.99 we got our bill and it was 3599 because now they include mimosas however none of us drink and I known that that was the price we would not have gotten buffets. With a $260.00 Bill I showed the lady at checkout she told me that was old she got the manager and the manager argued with me told me that that was not their logo or their sign that they've never had that price clearly you could see from the pictures I'm posting that it is the same location they've just moved some things around. We didn't order any alcohol and I asked for them to at least assist with something and they refused. Our server did not check on us we had to pile up our plates to the side on the table next to us and within moments of eating we had to run to the restroom The lady in the stall next to me ran in with explosive diarrhea too. Heard about this place often since it's near the Montclair train and bus station. Thought we'd give it a try one Sunday morning, so we stopped by Juancho's for a regular breakfast. Nice ambiance and decor inside the restaurant. Saw them setting up for some Mexican brunch, which looked very good. We chose to order from the menu since we weren't really hungry that early of a morning. For starters, got some complimentary chips & salsa, which we enjoyed immensely. The salsa and chips were made fresh. 4/5 The chicken enchilada plate with green sauce, rice & beans was average. The chicken itself was dry and not enough green sauce; overall, it was okay for me 3/5 Thumbs up on the chilaquiles, says hubby 4/5 Portions are good for the regular breakfast. Prices are average. 1st Visit - horrible service. Service is HUGE!!!! We gave it the benefit of a doubt and visited the 2nd time, this time for breakfast. The order took forever. When it was handed to us it looked like its been sitting for a while where the cheese was no longer melted but hardened. The order was wrong.... I figured considering it was NOT being written down as we were ordering. We ordered green sauce instead it came red. That irritated me and resorted to eating it anyway because we were both so hungry. Zero zero customer service. Not once did anyone come to check on us. Water was not filled. The restaurant was not busy, cant imagine it would be because of the self served all you can eat. The place is cute. Looks clean however the service was slow and there was only like 5 other tables besides ours that were seated. I had to ask and waive at someone to help us to take our order and then ask the girl in front/ hostess for a side of mayo. The only reason I came here was to charge my car and my friend and I wanted grab some food. The nachos were ok dry in my opinion and took forever to be served just for one drink and nachos. We ate outdoors, with a beautiful mountain view, and enjoyed the beginning of dusk. Mara M. was a very attentive server. We enjoyed the Horchata drink and also had some draft Mexican Beers with our chips and spicy salsa. Our entrees were then plates: Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Carne Asada, all accompanied with rice, refried beans, and grilled white onion stalk and jalapeño. He's a regular here and comes at least once a week. I've heard nothing but good things and wanted to try their lunch buffet, but unfortunately, I arrived with only 20 mins left, so opted not to get it, as not much was left at that point at the buffet bar. I used to come here all the time with my family, at least once a week, and we'd usually spend around $120. The food is amazing and truly authentic. You can tell the cooks really know what they're doing. Our favorites are the molcajete and flan, and the birria tacos are delicious too. The staff are some of the friendliest people around and really make the experience special. That said, the AC hasn't been working this summer, and it's been uncomfortable. I feel for the staff having to work in that heat. The owner really needs to get it fixed so both the team and customers can enjoy the restaurant like they should. Their buffet caught most of our eyes because it was an affordable $19.99. My only complaint of the food itself was that the rice and beans were bland and not very warm. Later within the day, 14 of us (also including myself) started to have stomach issues and pains. When some of us attempted to reached out to the restaurant for complaints, we were caught off guard with the lack in accountability from staff and how the manager kept dodging all of our phone calls when asked to speak with them. The majority of the time I come here for brunch about once every several months in the morning, and service is always awesome. I came here later in the evening after work one night, and some of the staff that I see on the weekends and in the morning were here, so it was awesome to be recognized and ask if I was having iced tea. The bowl of soup is a generous serving, and I absolutely enjoyed it to help me with my cold. They provide corn tortillas as well. The taste wasn't bland and was quite flavorful and filling. And like the morning, the same level of service, checking if I was okay, and overall welcoming nature was there like it has been when I've come every other time.
