Had lunch here on Mother's Day based on recommendations from Yelp! I ordered coconut shrimp and a passion fruit margarita. The meal came with rice and fried plantains. The shrimp were huge but lacked much flavor so I was thankful for the pineapple relish. The servers were very friendly and the bartender was super friendly. One star removed because my friend and I arrived early and was asked to move our car from the parking lot but shortly after we saw a car park with no issue. When we walked in at 12:30( opening time), the couple was seated.
This beach/oceanfront restaurant is a whole vibe!!! There's a DJ playing dance music, the outdoor lighting adds a lot to the ambiance, the lively waitstaff are more than accommodating and helpful. The food portions are tasty and very good! The drinks could use a little work - I had a St. Germaine Spritz that was light on the tequila and HEAVY on the ice on Fresca. All and all, I would recommend this place for the food, ambiance, and service. I've had better drinks at other restauarnts.
The hostess is rude. But the rest of the place is a cute beachside local favorite. We waited for 40 minutes for a table so call ahead and make reservations. The bar upfront seats about 5 people so there isn't a lot of waiting space. There are a couple of sofa and benches. The place easily became bushy in that hour from 2:30-3:30pm. The parking lot was packed when we left. The heiress stand can call a taxi for you. They don't speak English well at all. So be prepared. The food was decent with some dishes being better than others. The shrimp ceviche wasn't fresh and the octopus also seemed a bit too firm to be fresh. My father enjoyed his sea bass fillet. We ordered quesadillas for the kiddo. He liked it. The wait staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Very clean establishment as well. They have staff for drinks, busing the pates vs drinks and then the main wait staff. So they definitely have their operation down. It's a nice walk on the pier after your meal. It has such a pretty view. Food 3.5/5 Service 5 Ambiance 5 It's a laid back little lace to go for lunch or dinner.
Pretty much as good as it gets. Ambience is incredible - nice but not stuffy with a beautiful beach view. Service was perfect: attentive without being overbearing and my server went above and beyond with giving some recommendations of things to do in the area. I ordered a Michelada which was fab, super flavorful and just the perfect level of spicy. They brought out chips and salsa. Salsa was HOT, not going to lie, even the mildest one. But they were good. Chips were nice too. I ordered the roast veggies for one and the octopus/steak dish, which wasn't what I was expecting at all tbh but I loved it. I thought it was going to be like a cut of steak with a cut of octopus on top like a surf and turf and instead it was like all chopped up together and served with tortillas and garlic salsa as almost a byo taco type thing. Nonetheless it was soooo good. A few very minor complaints: 1. They def were a little "up-selly" 2. I wish they had cocktail prices on the menu 3. Imo the menu could be explained more clearly bc it's not super clear how big the portions of everything are and so it's easy to end up with either too much or not enough food (the former in my case) It's def a little pricy too but wow it was really good. Would absolutely go back.
My friend and I liked this place so much during our 4 night stay in Cancun, we went 3 times. Hands down the best coconut shrimp I've ever had, and very reasonably priced. Located on the beach, the views are beautiful and the vibes are chill. They have an indoor seating area as well and all of the food we had, including a whole fish zarandeado, was absolutely delicious. The service is on point and the cocktails are great too. Given the rainy weather during our stay, this restaurant was overall the best part of our entire experience. And perhaps the best part of this restaurant was we were the only gringos there, and thus, did not pay gringo prices. Clearly a local hangout spot.
It's beachside. It's hard to find and has good live music(a little loud though). But it's right on the sand. Has fishing boats parked up on the shore and overlooks a lighthouse on the bay. Don't mind the treacherous dirt road with huge pot holes to get to the restaurant. It's a beautiful restaurant with great food (slow service) but super authentic and very fresh seafood. Curry Caribbean ceviche is amazing. With mango and pineapple. The grouper was grilled and it tasted as if the t was right out of the water.
Omg this place was fantastic. We wanted to get away from the resort food and found that this place was right next door the whole time. We walked down the beach and right up to the restaurant. It's right on the beach so we were able to sit with our toes in the sand. The service was amazing, they really appreciated the business and it showed. Pretty neat that they catch the seafood they serve. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I love Puerto Santo! First off - it's on the beach but not obviously sandy and windy, it's got shades so that if it's too windy or it rains, they can put it down and you've still got a really nice view of the beach and they also have beach beds so if you wanted something that felt more like a beach club, there it is. Second - their food gets better and better every time we go there! It's so good and tasty and the portions are just right for each dish. My husband and I got the shrimp fettuccine and chicken fettuccine and it was amazing! The service was quick but not so quick that you feel rushed. And they're all so friendly. It's also super accessible to non English speakers - I speak pretty decent Spanish and was offered a menu in English so they do have options for non Native Spanish speakers. Will always be in my top three
Soooo... this is a must visit place in Cancun. The manager Alex is the best and made our experience amazing. I'll let the photos speak for themselves because I couldn't do the justice. We had about three rounds of their house salsas. Be prepared because their spicy. If aesthetics is what you desire, order their whole fish. It's unreal! Just thinking about this meal is making my stomach grumble The drinks were great. They made custom drinks for us based on our likes. We had a watermelon drink and a Rosemary drink that were amazing. We had sides of mushroom and coconut shrimp that I would highly recommend. Even the sides of rice were very well flavored and delicious. Any trip back in the area and I will definitely return!

Found this via Yelp! Once again, this group has not let us down. It was a little hard to find, but follow the directions, it will have you turn into a resort, and trust you're going the correct way. Just show the guard at the gate the Yelp app with this restaurant in it and they will let you in. Then you're going to keep following the app to another gate, and you will ask them there where to go and they will point you around the corner. Once you turn the corner you will see a wooden sign with the name of the place on it. Follow the dirt road around (lots of pot holes) and boom you are there! Service was phenomenal! The salsa is a little spicy so wait for your drinks before you start in on them. Wife had lobster, cooked just right! I had shrimp fettuccine and coconut shrimp and it was amazing! Had a couple cocktails and were too full for desert. If your interested in a place off the beaten path a little out of the way, this is a good spot to find. Our bill was around $150. Well worth the money! read more

So good, we went here four times in the span of four days. It's proximity next to our Airbnb made that too easy, but really the fresh and delicious food made it a no-brainer. Must order: all of the ceviche, fish of the day (you get to select your own fish for them to prepare)... Seriously for my next Cancun trip, I'm staying in this area so I can go back four more times!! read more

This place is a little hard to find but worth the search. Great/ fresh margaritas. Guacamole is awesome as well. Recommend the grilled octopus. Second visit. Had the fresh lobster -amazing. Highly recommend. Very local place. read more

I wish we had arrived at sunset to enjoy the view but it was still fabulous. Fine dining with your feet in the sand. Delicious margaritas in beautiful goblets. The food was delicious, perfect, and the staff is delightful. We would go back for sure. read more

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Amara nearby and literally ate here about 6 times. The food was fresh and delicious every time!! We had everything from Paella, sea bass, ribeye tacos, seafood fettuccine and a variety of seafood and meat pizzas. The service was great and some nights there was entertainment. Truly amazing place for someone who appreciate fresh seafood! The place is pretty popular so you probably want to make a reservation to get a table outside on the beach. Friendly stuff, great food, surprisingly reasonable prices. It was a really nice discovery after many overpriced "touristy" restaurants at double the price. read more

The dinner was excellent. We started with the complimentary chips and sauces. We ordered an appetizer of guacamole which was very good and a large portion. Dinner was the fresh fish, which was superb, fresh and prepared just right. Shrimp tacos were also excellent. Fresh, tasty and filling. Staying on the beach, we walked down a few feet and were there! Worth the experience of dinner on the beach. We went early, So it was not crowded. George was an excellent server. read more

We arrived at 9PM, were immediately helped and our server was very attentive. They gave us complimentary soup broth and chips and dip while we waited. The prices might seem a lot for each dish but the portions are good sizes and the presentation is very nice. We all enjoyed our meals along with the view and if we had more time during our visit, we surely would have stopped by again! So worth it. read more

We're foodies and can say confidently that this is the place to go. We went both nights while we were in Cancun. Located right on the beach, with the sand at your feet. Incredible portions of incredible, authentic Mexican dishes. Cocktails are super tasty with a great amount of alcohol. Friday nights are ladies night and ladies get a free drink of their choice (mezcal shot, martini, or gin/tonic). We highly recommend the vegetable grill (which comes on a hot grill and is a fantastic portion with great flavors and a garlic dip) and the lime ceviche (it's so fresh, you'll be amazed). read more

Beautiful view, delicious food, attentive service. We loved the salsa and chips they brought out for starts - very spicy! The mango curry ceviche was one of the most delicious and unique dishes I have ever tried. I loved the combination of flavors! My husband got camarones poblanos and those were also so yummy! Tried the margarita de maracuyá and it did not disappoint! Great experience overall and you can't beat the view! read more

Google map didn't direct us to the restaurant's parking lot, we had to park and walk 10mins of sketchy roads instead. We almost gave up on the way, but after we finally sat down at the restaurant, it was all worth it! The food was superb and price was very reasonable. We order a whole fried fish, octopus guacamole, and grouper ceviche. All of them were pleasantly delicious. Be sure to make a reservation if you would like a table near the ocean and enjoy the scenic view. read more

A place where you can sit and feel the sand under your feet ! Relax and order one of the house cocktails or a cold beer, fresh seafood ( we actually watched the fishermen coming back with the catch of the day, fresh lobster and fish ! ) . Massive order of guacamole, not for 2 but for up to 4 ppl ! They only downside is that we had trouble finding the place, google maps sent us somewhere else and then once we were in the right direction there's this road that looked more for 4x4 vehicles and ours is very low, we struggle to get there. The ambiance was perfect for the type of restaurant . 3 stars because a couple of things that we order were missing something .. we'll be back though and try something else. read more

This place was amazing and our waiter Jorge was super engaged. He kept checking on us and filling up the wine glasses, and bringing their amazing margaritas to the table. He scene was beautiful as the beach water was less than 50 feet away. Wonderful music and perfect temperatures for a nice dinner along Cancun's shore line. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who comes to Cancun. Go to Puerto Santo and ask for my main man Jorge and try their margaritas and lobster. Make sure you come with an empty stomach because you will most definitely leave full and ready to go to sleep. read more

Amazing hidden gem!! It was a bit of an adventure to get there since it's not a touristy spot, but that's what makes it such a great find! The food is the best I've had in a long time, and it's right on the beach, it's quiet, has friendly service. They even got us a taxi back when it got late to ensure we got back to la zona safely. And although I know it's better for me to keep it on the low, I can't recommend this seafood lovely restaurant enough! read more

We loved this place; we were staying nearby so that we could be close to Playa Blanca for kite surfing. This place is within walking distance of our condo. Lucky for us! The little outdoor bar is ideal, just what you might think of for a beach bar, with bar stools in the sand! We went there several times to enjoy a drink and the perfect beachy atmosphere. We also ate dinner here a few times and the food was always great. The service is very friendly and always on spot. You can choose your fish (on ice) from the catch of the day, and they offer to fry or grill it. We always choose grill! It takes longer, but oh so delicious and not all that fat. The sides that come with the fish are always fresh and tasty. This is the perfect place for a nice beach vibe with a great setting, good food, nice bar. read more

Cozy, relaxed restaurant perfectly situated on the beach. This was the best meal we've had during our vacation, my husband even said one of the best meals of his life! Our waiter, Allen was so friendly and helpful that he suggested some great dishes. He was the best!! Highly recommend asking for him to be your waiter, he will take great care of you. We had the mixed ceviche(shrimp and octopus), fresh and delicious. We had another shrimp dish that was in this mild spicy, creamy sauce with veggies, with a side of warm tortillas(so yummy!). Lastly was the humongous lobster with a side of creamy mushroom sauce for dipping the lobster meat into. This could easily feed 3-4 people. Husband had the mango margarita on the rocks and I had a virgin mojito. We were so happy with our meal that we were thinking about it even the next day. 99% chance we will go back for a second meal before we leave Cancun. This meal/restaurant is a gem. read more

Deserves the 5 stars!! We started off with the kiwi ceviche and then we had a full lobster. It was all delicious!! You can enjoy your dinner outdoors right next to the marina,listening to the sounds of the waves. Great experience. Good service. Worth every peso! read more

There are 2 seafood restaurants you have to go to in Cancun and this should be #1 on your list. I had a whole red snapper over a wood fired grill, and the flavor was flawless. Order their specialty drink, and also try the mango ceviche. Not only is the food perfect but the service is ridiclous. Genuine happy servers, who give the most amazing recommendations. The seafood is fresh, the drinks are strong, and you can listen to the waves lapping on the beach as you eat. A little challenging to find, but do it. read more

Found this place via Yelp! and I have to say it was so worth the adventure to find it. While it is called Puerto Santo most know the area as Puerto Juarez. It is located in a gated Condo community. You have to declare your activity there at the entrance and you are logged in. The restaurant is one round-about and then off the beaten path. There is small wooden sign that says Puerto Santo on it in aqua letters. SeaFood is extremely fresh! We had ceviche and Camaron Mojo de ajo (Shrimp with Garlic). ALL AMAZING! my hubs and I seek out this type of ceviche spots all along the Riviera and this one is the best for Cancun area. The place has a rustic beach decor (similar to what you see in Tulum) and while we were there they had a sick playlist going of reggae covers of popular pop songs. We spent about 2hrs there and never felt rushed and the service was impeccable equal to that of a 5star expensive restaurant, probably better! I love that about Mexican culture. In total our bill was like $65! We had appetizer of guacamole, they gave us complimentary shrimp soup, ceviche, and grilled shrimp. Plus beers, michelada, and a don Julio 70 shot after dinner. If you want extremely authentic Mexican seafood go here! What they give you at the hotels is not bad, but not good either. Just being honest! read more

We stayed at the nearby Amara Condos and it was a short walk from the pool through the beach. They were very accommodating as we had a large dinner group of 23 which we had managed to make reservations for earlier in the day. We got 4 whole fishes and various shrimp dishes to share and it was all very good and fresh. Service was great too and they had live music that night. The guacamole was also very tasty and made fresh with optional crickets. read more
