I used to go to the location in west Seattle often growing up as I lived closer to the junction. I had no idea it was a chain and we came here cause I knew we'd enjoy it. The pico de gallo is our favorite as it's the cabbage based and it pairs excellent with their spicy salsa! They also provide bean dip for no extra cost. Unfortunately our bean dip had a hair in it this time around :( Our waitress was super nice, she did not upcharge us when asking to share a fajita and was honest about the regular being big enough for two. I came her for dinner. Was really hungry. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. It came and was SMOTHERED in red enchilada sauce. Like swimming in it. I've never had it come that way. But ok. It was extremely salty probably from the enchilada sauce. But it was the DRY shredded chicken that wasn't very well shredded. I ordered the Cancun platter and it said it came with chicken crab and shrimp the chicken and shrimp are great maybe the shrimp is slightly over cooked but good. The crab however is 100% imitation crab which the menu said nothing about. I eat here often but always get fajitas and wanted to try something else definitely should've stuck to my normal. I really like going to this restaurant and sitting in the cantina. The place seems to always have people. The service is always fast. Tableside guacamole is always chunky with warm tortilla chips. This time we went early for Happy Hour. I had street tacos and chicken wings. All ingredients are fresh, fresh, fresh. They are not like some places that give you a taste at Happy Hours prices. You know the ones that give you 1/2 a taco toddler size and 1 chicken wing on a bed of greens to make it look bigger? No, it's the whole shebang. I was expecting 3 wings at that price but I got 6 or 7 wings and they were Buffalo size. Hot and very crispy with a side of sauce. Enough to take home. We got full on the tacos and guacamole plus the salsa. It was like eating chips. You just can't stop with one. They keep bringing more warm chips baskets to the table. Finally leaving a review, being this is my 2nd time here. First time was on my son's birthday. We were looking for something more local but definitely feeling Mexican cuisine and let's just say this place did not disappoint! The place is much larger than we originally thought. The bar area was spacious, decorative, with few screens appropriately positioned around the other. On the other side of the restaurant was more of your traditional family style setting, but it was a very comfortable atmosphere. My son ordered the Ultimate Fajita Burrito, while I had the Dueto with grilled shrimp and beef. The plates are large and plenty filling. The birthday boy had the Coronarita and it was thoroughly enjoyed. My second time around, it was for my mom's 79th birthday. My kiddo, mì esposa, and mì madré came here to celebrate, as Mexican was her desire. Mom has dementia, and didn't remember she was stuffed, but she certainly made room for a surprise birthday dessert. The staff was perfect with gathering all around, dropping the sombrero on her head, and sang in mariachi harmony! Don't even come to this place if you like Mexican food, there's clearly no hygiene and staff is too sassy. Stopped by for lunch yesterday, and we ordered Enchiladas and Beef Burrito. The enchiladas came without sauce, when I asked the staff she said it's extra, extra for what? Enchiladas are supposed to be having the sauce all over, what I got hardly had any sauce. Food was cold and the rice was dried, god knows how rice looks this way! Moreover it had hair, I even took a picture, posted it here. This restaurant a little parking lot plaza. It really did surprise me when I walked it. It is larger than I thought it was going to be and I thought it was well decorated. Not fancy, but casual and relaxing. We went for my mom's birthday. We were seated with water and chips and house made salsa... it was very good. I ordered a lemon drop cocktail... it to was very good. My mom had chicken enchilada, my son had street beef tacos, my hubby had shrimp tacos, and I had chicken street tacos. This is the second time that they have messed up in the two times I've placed an order. The first time they forgot to put in an item and when we called they asked if we wanted to come back to get it. Ended up having to ask for a refund - it wasn't even offered. When I ordered this evening, upon arriving they had already given my order to the customer before me. The hostess laughed as she told me and asked me if I could wait and hopefully the customer would return. The flour tortillas were brought out but weren't fully cooked, doughy and obviously not ready to serve or eat.
