I used Puff n Stuff for an office happy hour event we were having for our Board of Directors on 5/8/24. Although the food was good, I am really disappointed at how they didn't send sufficient food for what we were charged. My order was the displayed Hors D'oeuvres for 45 people. What we got was not enough to feed 45. We ended up getting 3 trays (see pic) each tray you can say came out to about $425 each since we were charged $1,300 for entire order. When I called them to ask if perhaps they had missed something, the response was "the chef said this was enough food for 45 people". I am not sure how the Chef makes this decision but there was no way this was enough food. They didn't even try to make an effort to try to somehow keep us happy. As the son AND grandson of caterers, it's safe to say while I was no bridezilla, I also asked a TON of questions the average client wouldn't. There were 100 things I knew to ask, question, and worry about that, respectfully, you probably wouldn't and it wouldn't affect your event in the slightest. Our initial contact Brittany went out on maternity leave and Ashley picked things right up- not a single bump in the communication. Just before the event, Brittany returned and picked it right back up again. BUT Florida being Florida, we had a huge COVID spike right before our event. What I hoped would be a slow time in the 2 weeks pre-event turned into almost daily emails as things had to be changed on the fly. PNS Catering never missed a beat. The staff wore masks and gloves and made my guests feel safe but welcome. The food was obviously delicious- the main reason I chose them in the first place. Great communication from start to finish. Great suggestions/ideas when I wanted cost-saving tips or I needed their input when I wasn't sure which option to choose. Expertise. Trust. Communication. And delicious food. Great service and food. They were hired to cater our holiday office party and they did not disappoint. They did everything they promised and delivered food that even my pickiest eaters enjoyed. They provide a complete set up and break down. All we had to do was show up. I really enjoyed the braised short ribs. They were so tender that you could cut it with a fork. No knife needed. If you are considering hiring Puff N Stuff to cater your event my advice is to DO IT right away. I've been to so many weddings where the food was bland or not cooked evenly and I've heard from a few people that had amazing tastings but when the food was cooked in large quantities it was nothing like what they had at the tasting. This will NOT be the case with Puff N Stuff: all of my guests were RAVING about the food all night and asking the staff for containers of leftovers to go because it was so good. Puff n stuff gave my groom and I individually packaged meals of everything to take home and it was even amazing the next day! Our passed appetizers were so good that some of our guests had competitions to see who could steal the most appetizers from each other during cocktail hour. In addition to the food being amazing, the staff was so friendly and professional I was blown away: I felt happy and comfortable from the moment I went to our tasting and met Nicole until the day of the wedding when out event supervisor Kelly came up to us and said "I'll take care of you all night, don't worry about a thing." The last few years we have been using This catering company for our holiday party. This year and last year, it was noticeable to our guests that there was not enough food to serve based on our head account. More importantly, when the menu selection for this year's party was not reviewed and agreed upon, the company assumed the previous year meu would suffice! Absolutely wonderful catering for our wedding of about 80 people. Not just the best wedding food ever but great service. A lot of compliments from family and friends about both. In planning my coordinator/event manager Nicole was on top of everything. I am a details person and she was right there with me through the entire planning process. From planning, to day of set up, to service staff, everything was on point. I had full confidence in Puff's ability to make the cocktail hour and reception go smoothly. A lot of different packages available to work with your budget. Most of your wedding budget will be spent on your venues, photography, and your food/service so choose wisely! We chose the butler passed appetizers and the plated served meals. If you can afford the jump in price from buffet to plate service you will thank yourself. Well worth the staff to serve your guests instead of lining them up at a buffet, if you can help it. Saved us space in our small venue, as well. Additionally, I recommend supplying your own alcohol (if your venue allows) but paying Puff to serve it at a bar. You will save a lot and the staff is more than happy to serve your unique selections all night. When the event ended at 10pm, everything had to be out by midnight. The entire puff team pitched in and got out well before the deadline. From start to finish, our event was well executed. So happy we went with Puff 'n Stuff! read more

They agreed to cater our annual Christmas party in Dec 2014 They first off offered us a nice Christmas meal for 60 people This included a nice almond cake but 2 days before they said I need 200 more for the cakes we said no you included it in the 890 price they substituted with small pastries size of a nickel good but small and only one person They provided two large trays of vegetables and stuffing but only one for turkey and gravy not enough for 60 people and it was cold maybe because they showed up 2 hours late! They did not apologize and we had to hunt them down a dozen phone calls they kept saying on our way ( their store was 2 miles away) Well they finally showed up it was embarrassing I will never ever use this terrible place again Over priced and did not provide service at the time they promised it was such a bad service and over two hours late! Puff and Stuff isn't just for weddings folks... When I recently had to plan an open house for my new employer, Emily and her team came to my rescue. With a strict budget, an estimated 50 guests and two CEOs with very different tastes, I knew this project was my initiation into the family. One wanted to go full out catering and one was cool with Publix chicken tenders. Given our company is one of the most prominent IT firms in the Orlando and Jacksonville markets, and our clients pay more than most for on-time, reliable customer service, I knew the V.I.P. treatment was a given. Early on, Emily and Sharol were helpful in helping me select menu items that were bite-sized and helped go along with the feel of our "eat and mingle" style party. They didn't even break a sweat when I called the day before and notified them that the "estimated 50 guests" was now a confirmed 72! We ended up serving the assorted pinwheel sandwiches, the key west pinwheel sandwiches, asian vegetable spring rolls,fruit brochettes, mushroom marsala meatballs, mini mac and cheese, crab moray stuffed mushroom caps and for our CEO, the buffalo chicken tenders. We served the chef's assortment of desserts and the cheesecake lollipops for dessert. Everything was a huge hit, we ended up with leftovers, mostly of the chicken tenders and meatballs, but everything was a huge hit with our clients and the extra mile they took to make sure the presentation was in line with our standards was perfection. A serviceman arrived at 2:15, before his scheduled arrival time and integrated the buffet with our logo tablecloths and had china plates, stainless steel forks and cocktail napkins for our guests. They set up a breakdown station in the kitchen and the next day another gentleman came first thing to take everything away. I highly recommend Puff and Stuff for any event you are planning, be it a corporate event, a cocktail party or a wedding. One thing that I'm not too fond of the catered food you'll find at big events like weddings and charity fundraisers because it is usually lacking quality and flavor, greasy and fattening and overdone. However, that is not the case for all caterers, especially when it comes to Puff 'n Stuff...a catering company in the Central Florida area. They are triple threat when it comes to the catering business, because not only is their food AMAZING in quality and flavor, but their servers are only the best and their business as a whole has a great reputation all over Central Florida. To be honest, I've never not liked anything that I've had from them, but I definitely have my favorites. Among the hors d'oeuvres menu I highly recommend the mini beef wellington, mini crab cakes, chicken breast brochette, and spinach artichoke dip. The cheese and fruit platters are also well done and only the best quality. For the main course items, the salmon is very good...as is the orzo pasta and veggies. And for dessert, the brownies and chocolate covered strawberries are so scrumptious. Not only does Puff 'n Stuff take care of the cooking and serving, they also set up, break down and clean up everything...and they do an awesome job from start to finish. Their prices are expensive, but you get what you pay for and I definitely recommend using them if you can afford to do so. This catering company delivers food to my company on a very regular basis. the staff is very pleasant to deal with and very efficient. The food is reasonable and they always set up and take down with nice plasticware. Having had extensive experience eating their cuisine, I can say that for a catering company, their food is a step above most. Not only do they prepare nicely-flavored quality food for the 'regular' eaters, but also for vegetarians, vegans and lactose-free folks. The surprising thing is that the vegetarian and vegan recipes are unique and tasty as well. Oh the joys of a white wedding, the happy couple, open bar, and the only dark part of the event (besides overly touchy relatives) is the dreaded wedding food, awful dishes from the 1950 put together with no care and put in a steam tray to sit until every vegetable is brown and every starch falling apart. So much to my surprise the wedding I attended in Orlando this past weekend has spectacular food! Puff and Stuff sent an amazing crew of cooks, waiters, and bar tenders who were not only exceptional at their jobs, but also nice, fun, and friendly. The passed appetizers were good bbq'd shrimp in a mojo sauce, basil cornets with a roasted pepper crème Friache, and a caramelized onion crostini. For entrées we had two separate flights the first being platters of grilled vegetables and a tray of assorted goodies like bacon wrapped scallops, mini twice baked potatoes, and plantain chips with roasted pork. The second flight was stuffed peppers, risotto, and asparagus all very tasty, I don't recall the second course as well as I should due to the open bar, but it was all very well prepared. I have reached out to Puff N Stuff 3 times requesting services for catering my wedding and haven't had any luck with them. The first time I called, I gave them my information inquiring catering services for my wedding over a year away. The person on the other end of the line promised someone would reach out to me. Strike one, no one called me. After no response, I called a 2nd time. Strike two, the receptionist said they didn't even have my information in the system so I patiently had to give it to her again. I was promised AGAIN that someone would reach out to me before the end of the day which DIDNT happen. After the third time I reached out to them wondering if they even wanted business at this point, they promised I would have a quote by Monday or Tuesday of this week. That was 2-3 days ago and I am still waiting on a quote.. This is not what I need on my wedding day and I would NOT work with a company who neglects their customers. :( read more

I had a little different experience with Puff 'n' Stuff than these other reviewers, so I wanted to write a review so others could benefit from my anomaly of an experience. I asked to have three vegetarian meals for my bridal party; their server basically told them they could go to the buffet and just pick out vegetable items. Later, when everything was packed up, we found three vegetarian meals boxed up with the rest of the food. I know mistakes are often made, but this communication breakdown seemed very odd. At the end of the event, the DJ announced that we would be exiting and everyone started to move outside the venue. The groomsmen, who unfortunately weren't on their best behavior that night, were going to the bar and taking drinks that were clearly "to go." A couple of them had three or four beers in their arms. I had expected that professional bartenders would not hand out alcohol at the end of the event to people who clearly planned to leave with it. I think the issues with my wedding basically came down to me being too passive during the planning (I'm really introverted and didn't want to seem bossy!). If you aren't using a wedding planner, I would strongly suggest speaking to your vendors very clearly about what happens at your wedding, and which vendor is expected to do what (especially venue manager vs. catering manager). I would also suggest asking Puff 'n' Stuff to speak with the person who will be in charge on site the day of your wedding. During the planning period, I felt like my consultant understood my needs perfectly, but I ended up fielding a lot of questions at the event from the lead of the catering staff. With these stipulations, I would very much recommend Puff 'n' Stuff. Their food really was excellent and my guests overall have said many positive things about it. My goal isn't to bad-mouth the company, because they obviously do very good work at their events based on all of these glowing reviews. read more

I tried the food at the Otronicon VIP Event on Jan. 13, 2011. LOVED the pasta station! I was the one scooping up boat loads of tiny shrimp on top of my pasta, LOL! The Sweet 'n Sour Meatballs were also very tasty. Unfortunately I waited too long to get some potstickers and chocolate covered strawberries. Beyond wonderful. We booked them for a private dinner for about 30 people. It was a very busy weekend in Daytona and I called them 48 hours before the event. Heidi was amazing at setting a menu that went with our event and was in our price range. The staff arrived early (they beat me to the venue!) and were very friendly. We had so many compliments on the quality and presentation of the food as well as the helpfulness of the staff. They were quick and efficient. Plus the food was SO tasty. We held our daughters wedding reception at the Orchid Garden which is absolutely beautiful!!! When we originally booked the Orchid Garden it was owned by RTP. While we were in the planning stages it was sold to Puff N Stuff. Under the RTP contract we were able to contract out all of our vendors including the food. Puff N Stuff was responsible for the bar, setting up tables and covering them with navy tablecloths, placing small items around that the bride and groom brought in and a Day of Coordinator. We are so fortunate that Puff N Stuff didn't do more. It felt like everything they were responsible for had problems. Here is a list of some of the blunders: -I could NEVER get a correct contract from Puff N Stuff. Our final contract still had incorrect tablecloth colors listed. -Payments were not collected on schedule and they over charged our acccount. -The wedding coordinator NO SHOWED! -The bridesmaids bouquets were taken when they arrived and were suppose to be put at the head table. When everyone sat down the vases were empty and the bride had to ask ANOTHER VENDER to please help her find her flowers. -The elevator didn't work! We found this out the next day when we heard that our elderly grandparents all walked upstairs! -Stairs weren't roped off as promised for cocktail hour. -We paid for a premium bar. They poured a lower grade of at least one brand and told guest they were out of vodka (There were only 133 alcohol drinkers) -600 personalize beverage napkins were never even unboxed and were given back to me at the end of the night. -250 personalized koozies were purchased as favors and the bartenders were suppose to give them out. 30 min before the evening was over the bride asked where the favors were and they threw them on the bar. Getting things resolved has been a headache: -After waiting 10 days for a minimal refund check I called and the VP and was "promised" it had been mailed three days earlier. It arrived the next day Priority Mail with a tracking number showing the post office received it 30 min AFTER her email was sent! -Our $1000 deposit check, per the contract, was to be returned 20 days after the event. We repetitively requested our check. After SEVEN WEEKS we were told it's been shredded. Sad they would do all of this to a bride and groom who spent a year and a half planning their special day. They put their trust in the staff and were let down in so many ways. Thankfully we had other venders for the food and set up. read more

I emailed them online, they followed up right away and helped me pick a menu. They re-iterated the menu several times and found exactly what I wanted and fit my budget. Emily Sullivan was so friendly and helpful. It was like a VIP experience. The day of the party the staff was there 15 min early, they set up fast and everything looked so professional and decorative. It was beautiful! They were so helpful and attentive during the party and even straightened up the house at the end! I really wish I could hire them more! The food was spectacular! Everyone commented on how yummy everything was , and how excellent the staff was. I just cannot say enough good things! My wife and I were absolutely delighted with the pre-party coordination by Mary and the professionalism of the event staff of Gabrielle, Laura, "T" and Bill. The food was cooked on site and the presentation was elegant. Many guests commented on the quality of the food and service. The cleanup was very thorough. I attended a holiday party in December 2014 and was not only delighted by the exquisite food but I can honestly say that the service was stellar as well. Promptly upon my arrival, the staff was happy to explain the options available to me (this party was unlike any I have ever attended). Another event at the Palmetto club where the exclusive caterer "Puff and Stuff" FAILED miserably. Second year in a row where the buffet line, as managed by the caterer, ran out of food after the first rotation was served. This left guests standing around for over 15 minutes with half filled plates and food getting cold. Some many things were wrong with this caterer, stale rolls (yes, old, stale, inedible breads), food line not staffed, plates ran out, people ate main meal off of small dishes. Meats and vegetables were cold and not kept warm. Steer clear of this caterer. read more
