Sweet meets spicy meets (meats?) savory. Every bite felt like someone dared a pitmaster and a pastry chef to create the ultimate brunch, and somehow they pulled it off. The only drawback? The restaurant is cute and vibey. Reminds me of Austin, Tx a lot since there were many places like this one. It brought me back a great memory and the ambiance in general was nice. Parking wasn't an issue either. As I walked in, I was greeted by who seemed to be the owner and a young woman. Very nice, lovely staff. Everyone was so sweet. My only issue was that they didn't have a good portion of their menu ready and it's mostly because they didn't have the gravy for their dishes. The ones we wanted came with gravy and the staff let us know they were behind on making it. So we pivoted and tried their prime rib smash burger but unfortunately that felt a little disappointing. For the price that it was, you'd think that you'd get a decently portioned burger or some sides with it but it was super tiny. And the bun felt like grocery bread, the type you can get for a home bbq. It was still delicious but rather disappointing at the same time. We ended up having to order a third dish just to feel satisfied and at least it was very good. The bowls are worth it, maybe not the burger but the bowls for sure! I also snagged up a donut and truthfully that is one of the best donuts I've ever had. Another downside to this spot and why I didn't give it a 4 star is because how slow the service was. We watched a whole family get up and leave because it was taking so long, I actually felt bad for the staff and owner. The place has great tasting food, just needs a little shaping up. If you think Donuts and BBQ don't go together, you're 100% correct. WTF were they thinking? If they called this Smoke OR Donuts, then I'm 100% on board (like it's a train or something). I Choo Choo Choose one or the other, but not Both. The platter with brisket and pork belly was good. The brisket was legit good brisket, but the pork belly was a bit tough and overdone. The sides and pickles and other stuff they added were all good and made for a good presentation and filling lunch. I've driven by this place several times and today decided to stop and try for lunch. It's Saturday and we were welcomed immediately by the Owner Ian (who co-owns with his wife). We let him know it was our first time here and he gave us two menus and let us know after each meal you get a free fresh glazed donut. Already off to a great start! After 11 AM they serve their full menu plus a brunch menu on weekends only. They have a robust BBQ menu from platters to sandwiches and everything done in-house including their sauces. Plus, you can order house baked donuts and even build your own with toppings of your choice. It's very casual, and they have a pretty stocked bar and serve espresso drinks. After we ordered at the counter, took our number and sat down, we were given a pork rind to nosh while we sat. Now, I don't care for them, but other diners seem to enjoy and it was a nice and amuse-bouche ;) I'm a sucker for brunch so I ordered the Smoked Turkey Breast, egg and cheese sandwich with runny yolk. It was PHENOMENAL! For only $12 (in today's inflated economy) I was presented with a soft, large potato bun housing tender, perfectly seasoned turkey carved - not deli-style and sliced - thick and juicy steak-cut style. Melted on top was a thick Gouda cheese slice, a perfectly cooked "runny" egg topped with fresh cranberry sauce. I can't say enough about my meal, the presentation and service! They are very intentional to let you know you do NOT bus your own table, they take care of everything even though you order at a counter. So, I've been dying to try this place. Like for awhile. Worked out today. I hate the lack of parking that was offered, but for a good meal, I'll suck it up. The BBQ was very good and customer service was friendly/helpful. I ordered the Brisket Sandwich. My friend ordered the Low Country Reuben both with fries. I liked the sauces they had available as well. I was able to taste both sandwiches. The brisket was tender and not dry. Loved that. I had never tasted anything like the Reuben before I like it as well. I'm shocked how bad this place was. I was sure I'd be getting a tasty meal. Boy oh boy was I wrong. My spouse got the side dish sampler. She got mac and cheese, green beans, and fries. The only side that wasn't garbage were the fries. They were just plain old boring fries. The green beans tasted like it had the slightest hint of lemon and nothing else. I had the opportunity to hangout with Ian, the owner of S&D at A la Carte and what a fun experience. From humble beginnings - and one 4x8 smoker in his yard. Ian has built his incredible bbq empire into a full menu food truck beast. What's most impressive is not only does Ian have Brisket and Turkey to Rival that of any Orlando competitor, the donuts are absolutely bar none. To do both sweet and savory so well in one delicious package is something you absolutely have to see for yourself. - The drinks you see are from A La Carte . The rotating drink menu is highlighted on their wall of clipboards and is a really clever way to show the seasonal drinks of the all outside eating area. Maddy chose their seasonal sour and I got their nitro cold brew. - Straight from the pit I was able to try the Brisket, the pulled pork and the Turkey. Ate lunch here with two friends yesterday. One was running late and the manager asked if we wanted him to keep her food under a heat lamp for her, which we thought was so nice and thoughtful. I was a big fan of Smoke and Donuts when they were at A La Cart. Happy they have their own brick and mortar now! It's very cute inside and is a great place to meet friends or have a solo meal. I got the brisket platter which comes with two sides and cornbread plus some pickles and onions. It was a little more than what I typically like to spend for a weekday lunch but I had leftovers and was able to make two meals out of it, so actually it wasn't bad. They do have lunch specials and lots of other sandwiches which are more typical lunch pricing. The brisket was great and actually my favorite part of the meal was the green beans! I would rush back for those green beans, which is not something I'd ever think I'd hear myself say. They also do catering and I used them for Thanksgiving 2022 and they were great. We got our food in a timely manner, which as night shift medical staff, we really appreciated. I liked my sandwich, but I think its a preference thing for me. Absolutely delicious! I got the pulled pork platter with the smashed potatoes and the cabbage slaw. The pork was extremely tender, with lots of choices of bbq sauces to choose from (the guava one is outstanding). The potatoes had tons of flavor and a nice crispy outside, and the slaw was refreshing and tangy. To top it all off, I got The Lou donut. Holy shirtballs! It was out of this world! A perfectly crispy outside to the donut with a soft and moist inside. All topped with a delicious bourbon glaze, chocolate chips, and Heath bar crunch. Great flavor combinations! I just tried Smoke & Donuts food truck in my office's parking lot and was not disappointed. I had a brisket donut sandwich, which came with chips and a soda for only $8. The brisket had excellent flavor (although I would have preferred a couple slices of brisket and to choose my own sauce flavor, as opposed to it finely chopped up and pre mixed with sauce). The donut was the perfect size for the sandwich, and its thick, sugary sweetness paired well with the smoky brisket and bbq sauce. I attempted to eat it like a sandwich at first... lol a fork is necessary! The staff was very friendly and my food came out super quickly. So between the donuts which are just INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS (& I am so not a donut gal) and the really lovely service I'm giving this Food Truck 5 Stars, despite some hiccups on my personal taste palate. First of all, there was a very sweet and friendly gal called Krisha at the window who answered my questions. I'm really particular about the taste of my Pork and wasn't sure if should get the pulled pork or the ribs slider. I was hesitant, but decide in the end to ask Krisha if they could give me a small sample of their pork before I ordered. There was no hesitation and they actually gave me a substantial amount! I tasted the pulled pork by itself and it was too salty for me, but as have mentioned in my previous Yelp reviews, I'm a massively low Sodium gal, and so lots of dishes that I eat out, I find salty but the rest of my dining companions are fine with the salt levels. However I did try the Pulled Pork with all the 3 sauces available. The Guava- Quince was pretty decent, but my fave was the Country Mustard which really dialed down the salt taste. My least fave sauce was the Texas Ancho. I'm so glad they were willing to give me a sample of their pork as otherwise would have spent $ on something didn't really enjoy. (And this review probably would not have been 5-Stars). In the end I decided to get x 2 of their side items which they could make veggie, and a donut and paid about $8 and change for the lot. 1) Roasted and Smashed Jones Farms Red Potatoes (without the Brisket ends) $2.99 - so good! Loved that it was local FL grown potato firstly and secondly there was a hint of a lemon herb that just really enhanced the taste. The salt granules they used were the perfect amount and taste too. Absolutely recommend as not too oily at all and just wished there had been more of a garlic bite to it, but that's a personal taste preference. 2) Sweet Potato & Grits - my first taste, when I are everything separately, didn't leave me too impressed. But when I moshed every component all together, it became a party in my mouth and was muy delicious! I totally would recommend just mixing up all the components if you get this dish, as the flavors then get all pulled together and work much better. The size for both of these items was pretty good - it's not a massive amount, but as a side, it works. 3) Kentucky Bourbon & Maple glaze cake donut ($1.99) - I decided to get this as Krisha recommended it as her fave, and holy deliciousness made of fairy dust! This cake donut just blew me away with how light and airy and just utterly fabulous the taste was. For real, the donut I ate here needs to be worshipped!! This place now ranks as my top Orlando donuts place and the donuts at Orlando Meats have totally dropped down to nos 2, for sure! I'm super glad the massage ladies at the place across the street suggested I go and try them, otherwise would totally have missed out on getting to try THE BEST DONUTS IN ORLANDO!! I was lucky enough to be business neighbors with Ian, his dad Russ and the whole crew. They've worked hard on their craft, I've had pretty much everything they offer, professionally prepared, oh so tasty, all of it. Brisket half n half is my favorite with slaw, green beans and potatoes. Running a restaurant, let alone building up from a simple food trailer to brick and mortar place to call home is an admirable feat. Give them a try. Amazing people read more

Food trucks out, stopped hot a couple of donuts not bad. They are the cake donuts and a little greasy. But it's a donut what can you expect. All in all they were good. I love food trucks so I will support them anytime. read more
