I absolutely love this tiny bakery!

If you are looking for a great pick me up while in Florence, head over to Pugi. Very close to the Duomo and the Accademia, Pugi is an amazing bakery that you cannot miss. When going into the Accademia's main entrance, turn around and you'll probably see a line out the door and onto the street for Pugi. This tiny shop serves great baked treats and wonderful pizza. Their focaccia is second to none, and their service is just as good. They also make quite a nice range of desserts, including biscottini and schiacciata. You definitely should check them out!

Best pizza I've ever had. The olive oil drizzled was superb. I went here 11yrs ago when I studied abroad. Still could taste the food!

Amazing pizza a taglio. Looks like a great bakery too but we never got to the pastries.

This review is long overdue for our visit back in November of 2024. I was looking up Nduja recipe…read moreand reminded myself this was the place that initiated my love for Nduja sauce. American/Aussie owned bakery brunch spot by the river, such a cute little eatery. We loved our visit and though it's definitely more of a touristy spot, as most customers spoke English, the food was delicious to forgo the tourist trappy vibes. We shared a plate and added some items as we didn't want to get too stuffed on our first day of Florence. We had the Nduja Eggs plate with bacon and avocado added. Nduja is a spicy Calabrian pepper spreadable pork sauce, and oh boy was it so flavorful. If I remembered correctly, Melaleuca spread this sauce on top of a fried bread and eggs. I don't see it on the menu at the moment and it's probably a rotatable dish... but it definitely kicked started my hunt for the sauce. Since this is a spreadable pork, it's not something I could bring back to the US but I was able to find it online back home. The service was amazing and the beverages were delicious. Like many Italian places, the dining room is small and bathroom is a single small room that might require a small wait if they're busy. Didn't get to try their baked goods this last time, but definitely on our list to go back for more when we're back to Florence for a visit.
