Well, Avalon lives up to their reputation. In fact they are the best dental group I ever used!!! From receptionist, to hygienist, to the dentist - they were perfect in a way that I've never encountered. I was there for teeth cleaning and I was treated as if I was a family member; and they treated my teeth like they would want their own teeth treated. They were very upbeat and transparent about pricing. I left with a great feeling and a feeling that my teeth were the cleanest they've been in a long time! They try to show me on the x-rays but I can never see it. It's hard to find fault with such talented dentists, but this experience continues to play out after 90% of my semi-annual hygienist appointments. I've never had this kind of experience of unwavering follow-ups as I've had with this group. So, if you want access to this level of quality work, be prepared to make time in your schedule for the follow-up after the hygienist for work that seems like it's drumming up business. I'm still a customer. I find it hard to leave their skill-set behind. I have an appointment next week to fill a micro-cavity found under an old filling. I went in as a new patient for X-rays and a cleaning which my dental insurance would have covered without any copayment from me. They absolutely refused to clean my teeth unless I agreed to a deep cleaning which is $40. After they took 18 unnecessary X-rays looking for a way to create a problem, he examined my teeth with a dental hammer and picked at my fillings trying to loosen them. I have been going to the dentist for a cleaning every six months since I was 21 years old and have never had the dentist examine teeth before a cleaning. The hygienist takes the X-rays, cleans your teeth and then the dentist comes in to examine your teeth and gums. Dental health is very important and shouldn't be treated as a money grab.

And one of the reasons that I picked Christiana care hospital is because it is on the HRC website , all places should make all people feel welcomed.
