You can either sit in the lively bar area which had live music playing when we had dinner or in more formal dining area with a piano player. Not impressed by their service but they were a little short-staffed. We waited at the door for a while almost getting ready to leave as no had come out to seat us. But when our waitress came out, she seated us immediately. The drinks took a while and were delicious. The food took forever to come out. The chicken dish my wife ordered was very good but the wood fried pizza was luke warm and chewy when it came to me. The cheese had settled and felt more like reheated than freshly made. I think it sat somewhere until my wife's chicken was ready. My wife ordered a second dirty martini and they brought a plain one with single olive. When informed, they poured some olive juice and brought it back. No apologies. We did notice that their regular customers love them. So willing to chalk it up to an off night and give the restaurant a second chance. Will update review based on next experience. read more

The food was excellent. The service is the only aspect that kept me from giving this restaurant five stars. I got fettuccine with a really good meat sauce. I could be wrong but that pasta tasted homemade. My fiancé got the margherita pizza. Normally that would not be my kind of pizza but this had a crispy crust and the sauce was yummy! I was bummed that an appetizer I saw online the Naples Street Food Basket I could not have. The waiter said something about someone getting fired earlier in the week. Maybe that was the only person who knew how to make that app? The top thing that I did not like was our waiter was not that attentive. Our glasses were empty from the middle to end of our meal. He kept looking at our table seeing our glasses were empty but not even asking if we wanted more to drink. I ended the night with Tartufo. Again took way to long to get to our table (the lack of attention by our waiter again). But the ice cream was nice and creamy and the raspberry sauce and blueberries added to our plate ended the food part of our night well. read more

The waiter spilled a full glass of red wine all over my teenage daughter, ruining the dress she had just bought. She went to the bathroom embarrassed, mad, and in tears. The waiter pretended as though nothing happened the rest of the meal and my daughter got a half hearted apology around the time they dropped the check. The issue isn't so much that an accident happened. I understand they do happen. The issue is the fact they couldn't care less. Stopped by here after hearing of the place last night, and I'll just say it was well worth it. Upon walking in I was welcomed by a wonderful hostess who made me feel right at home. I was dining by myself, and prefer to sit at the bar when I do so, and she managed to find me a nice cozy spot at the busy bar. Decor is nice and cozy, and the staff was very polite and courteous. Just what a diner looks for when sitting at the bar. As for the food, it was amazing. I started with the Grilled Calamari salad that was on the appetizer side of the menu, and I have to say that it was identical to the Calamari Salad I had in Rome this past summer. Very fresh, authentic and tons of fresh flavor you want to see in calamari. DEFINITELY recommend this salad in particular, and I'm sure the other salads on the menu are served at the same standard. On to my entree. Being that they have a hand-made wood fire oven that was built by imported Italian masons (very impressed by this!), I knew i had to try a pizza. I went in for a traditional Margherita and all i can say is WOW. Theres something about the sauce that is still resonating with me. Very fresh, tasted as if it was fresh crushed tomatoes made at the time of my order. Cheese was awesome as well, and basically, everything about the pizza was great. First yelp review writer here. I'm not the yelp reviewer type, but the food I just ate was so bad that I'm in shock, and I felt like I had to say something. Weird thing is, I ate here last summer and the food was delicious, but they must have gotten new owners or a new chef because I feel like I just ate cafeteria food from middle school. The garlic bread was so undercooked that the cheese didn't even melt on top of it. My chicken picatta was just chicken cutlets in picatta juice. It wasn't even sauce. It looked like a weird soup with not enough broth. The veggies were clearly from a frozen bag and undercooked. The Caesar salad was just Romain lettuce with a cup of Caesar dressing.... I would like to give them another chance, but if they keep making food like this I doubt they'll be around long enough for me to try it again. read more

Sorry that I didn't have the same experience as the others. We decided to dine here based on the favorable Yelp reviews. The ambiance was very nice and service was average. We decided to order a pizza (traditional) to share and each of us ordered an appetizer. I ordered the (naked) chicken wings with sauce on the side. My sister had a salad, and my father ordered the app with potato croquettes and fried polenta. When my wings arrived, they looked dry but I figured it was because i ordered them without sauce. Well....they were pretty dried out. I was hoping for wings with a crispy exterior that are a little crunchy when you bite them to reveal moist and flavorful chicken meat. Instead, I got petrified wings. The meat consistency was like chewing on wood. The waiter also told me twice that he dropped one on the floor and he "owed" me one. Well, he never made good on this and I never bothered to ask for the extra wing because they were not enjoyable. I gave most of them to the others who concurred that they were really dried out. The only way I could eat them was to smother them in dressing so that they would soften up. We were pretty excited to eat the "wood fired" pizza so we waited with great expectation and once again, we were disappointed with the pizza as well. The slices were a little thick for wood fired and the dough was thick and chewy. I really thought it would be thin crust and have that wood fired taste especially on the crust. We have been going for years it is usually good food and they play live music, several times we made reservations and get to the restaurant and no reservation so we wait get seated and have a good food/time. After much deliberation we decided to have New Year's Eve dinner their and friends did also we made Reservations for the Lounge/bar (Music By Frankie today music) they reserved in the dinning room. Low and be hold we get there no reservations in the lounge and a table not available soon neither Linda or Kelly were on site to speak to (8pm) and our friends table had room for us so we decided to sit with them in the dining room made it easy on the Host (son of owner) The Black haired waiter was Rude and the only waiter In that room. Went to the bar to get out drinks, When Linda (owner) arrived I spoke to her about the mess up she could only say the hostess (who left already) didn't follow her seating chart. I asked why wasn't she on site to be sure it all went accordingly. No answer.. We ordered from the limited menu to make it easy on the rude waiter (Even thou The Lounge had both regular and limited- the son said we could order off both considering they messed up our reservations) my meal filet came out Rare I kept my small piece of lobster while they took it back everyone ate finished and I'm still waiting it then came out over cooked. Linda came to me to explain about returning food and thermometer and it came out the way I ordered it, (my fault) I ordered my meat medium well not rare she said it came out like that, no it didn't I explained to her to ask at my table they all saw it was rare.. My husband explained it came out rare and had nothing to do with me. They charged for my meal which I didn't eat we paid the bill and left . There were two bartenders at the bar register. I waved my arms so they could see we were there. One female bartender who's name I was told is Oariah, yelled from across the bar (maybe 20 ft) that they were very busy with people placing orders and others checking out and we had to wait out turn. Pulcinella's in Brookfield is the worst run establishment I've ever witnessed. First mistake - we dine in, takes half an hour for a waiter to acknowledge us then another hour until the appetizers and food all comes at once. Then for the kicker he brings a to-go box literally filled with animal hair. How does that even happen? We point it out and the waiter doesn't even acknowledge and offers a different sized box? Second mistake - we pick up, they take our debit card, don't return it and deny any responsibility so I need to order a new card. Tonight was the final straw - call in an order, go to pick it up, "oh someone must have forgot to put it in". I call the manager bc you can't speak to him in person he waved me off, and then on the phone he just hangs up on me because "it isn't his problem" WOW!!! . The pizza here is AMAZING. They use double zero flour which is what is used in Italy and gives the pizzas dough and crust an amazing texture. Their pizza's also offer a wide variety of creative choices, and their limencello and orang cello is homemade by the owner who is from Italy. Come here for the limon and orangecello alone as it is the best that I've ever had, and I come from an Italian family whose grandparents make their own wine and sauce so I say that strongly. John our server (and the owners son) was also extremely nice and knowledgeable, we will certainly be back soon. read more

I love the White Truffle Pizza here as well as the Calamari Salad. Quite a good many of their dishes are worth trying. Great service the only reason I am goving 4 stars is because the food at Del Primos down the road tops this by far how ever you will pay more for that . The wine selection is ok could be better, prices are not too bad. This place has a great atmosphere in the bar space and music on friday mights which is fun... I feel bad writing this as this is a new restaurant in my home town. Quite simply, it is one of the very worst dining experiences I have had in a long time and was, without question, the worst service that I have EVER experienced from ANY server at ANY time! EVER! Waited 15 minutes for server to even notice us. When she did, she didn't greet us or ask if we would like a cocktail...simply "are you ready to order?". I might have been if my menu wasn't missing one of the three pages! My wife ordered the Cadilac Margerita-waitress had to look at the menu to see what that was. After waiting 17 minutes and still no drinks, my wife asked the hostess to help. A couple minutes later, my beer came out (no glass) and my son's Sprite came out minus the straw that seemed to go with other sodas. My wife, however, had to wait another 5 minutes for hers (also minus the straw). When the food came out, my wife's order was wrong. She ordered the twisted pasta with fried eggplant that was to be finished in the wood fired oven. She made the mistake, I guess, of asking for spaghetti instead of twisted pasta because what she received was not fried eggplant nor had in been finished in the oven. The homemade pasta was good and she enjoyed it, it was just not what she asked for. My son and I had pizza. Good crust. Quality ingredients, but not sure they are worth the price. Large pies run $35 to $50. That makes Pepe's look like a bargain. Asked for a second beer and Sprite. These took 10+ minutes to come out, but I did get a glass this time and my son a straw. The hostess noticed that we had been sitting idle and, bless her heart, she tried to make it right. She had the bartender come and take an order of drinks on the house. One problem-I ordered Irish Coffee. You know. Hot coffee, Jamison's, Baileys, and, sometimes Creme de Menthe? Right?! Guess not. I was brought iced coffee with baileys in it! I have never had that happen in all my years of ordering Irish coffee after dinner. Needless to say, the drink is probably still on the table. We also asked the bartender for a dessert menu when he offered the drinks. We gave up on that after 27 minutes and a search of the restaurant for our server to get the check. She was just confused the whole time. Doesn't seem to know the menu and certainly doesn't know basic serving techniques. Dirty plates and empty glasses should be removed asap. Customers shouldn't have to look for you or ask for drinks. I watched her serve the gent next to us and she gave him a small tea spoon to twirl his pasta rather than a tablespoon. Needless to say I chuckled when he exclaimed "what am I supposed to do with this?!" She needs to find her life's work as serving isn't it. The food was ok and people seemed to enjoy it. In fairness, it is only their second real weekend and they have kinks to work out. However it was packed at 7 and there we only two servers, 1 back server, and 1 bus person for the 14-15 tables. Clearly not nearly enough! I generally tip 20-25%. However, the service was so poor, my wife didn't want me to tip at all. And she is a server herself! Felt bad and overtipped at 10% and slipped twice that to the only person who really seemed to be working I hope they can work it out but I will not be back anytime soon. read more
