What a great experience. Fresh food and great service. Cacio e Pepe is a MUST. Side table freshly made for us. I love family-owned restaurants. They make sure they deliver nothing but the best. Artichoke hearts for appetizer are on point. Highly recommended for families. If you like nice food and a good atmosphere, definitely this is the place. I was visiting with my kid. And they are super kid-friendly.

What a really nice authentic restaurant! I was surprised how good and flavorful the food was, and even how nice it looks inside. You're almost transported to about part of the world. The food was soooo good. The branzino was beautifully cooked and filleted table side. Did I mention the flavors were incredible? We finished with the housemade lemoncello which was divine Ava refreshing. A 10/10. The waiter was friendly and the owners son so you get the family vibe for sure.

We discovered this place while looking for a sit-down pizzeria that used to be at the same address, and while we were sad at its loss, Castello is a net gain. It's a bit on the fancy side, but the food is up to snuff and a nice surprise this deep into the outer 'burbs (Danbury is the terminus for a branch of the Metro North). The Carpaccio de Manzo was tasty, and my Swordfish steak was not overcooked, which is a rarity and appreciated. Food was well-presented and delicious. The Cannoli I had for dessert was a thing of beauty, and tasty to boot. A little on the pricy side, but nice for a family or date outing.

I also had The French onion soup loaded with onions. Top choice. My Classic Rueben was a classic for sure. Huge portion. Excellent fries. Tender pastrami. The Steamed clams are an excellent choice. Nice size clams with a savoury broth. My salad was even excellent. The inside is clean with plenty of room for large parties. They do recommend reservations. Stop in & treat yourself. I will say it can get quite loud in there when full which it was on a Saturday night. We shared a salad to start- it was some sort of winter salad with spinach. For mains he got a steak- the steak itself was well cooked and flavorful. The mashed potatoes normally his favorite side were quite bland. He had me try them and I agreed. I ordered the mushroom ravioli. I went to take my first bite however and found they'd brought out the lobster ravioli instead. After awhile of waiting they brought out the correct meal. They did comp the ravioli which was very nice and aside from the small mix up we had great service throughout. We'll definitely come back but it is pricier than our average meal out. Hoping to try their brunch soon!

We started with a really great two cheese crostini which was delicious. I paired that with a rye old fashioned (or two) and that drink really hit the spot. For my entree I had a meatball hero which was just as delicious the next day when I had the second half for lunch. The portion was huge and I loved the meatballs and the sauce. For dessert we had a cheesecake with a house made pistachio creme which was amazing. We had a chance to talk to Tim who I believe owns the place and we asked him about a sign we saw on the westside at Innovation Studios for a Rebellion Gastropub. He says he hopes to have that open early in the new year so we can't wait to try that out as well, especially since it's only a five minute drive. But it's worth a 20 minute drive or more to visit Rebellion and we'll definitely be back.

Everything is brought out in ONE shot! Soup, salad, appetizers all at one time with the entree arriving very shortly thereafter - and at times WITH the aforementioned! Even when I mention this to the server, we still always wind up with everything at once or the main entrees coming less than a minute after the salad and or appetizer dishes get picked up! WHY? That happened this time as well and we watched it take place at the table next to us. The MAIN problem at this location is that the food prep is just not in line with the time you get your order. Food is regularly brought cold from sitting. For the third consecutive time, one of us ordered their 7-Pepper Sirloin Salad to experience the same debacle as in the past. Cold chilled salad topped with what was supposed to be warm to hot sirloin tips - but they were COLD... AGAIN! Between that and their weak drinks, I really have to find a new place when in the mood for steak and in the Danbury area.
