I was passing through Connecticut and stopped in Michael Angelo's for a quick pepperoni slice, and it was so good I ordered a second. The crust was so the superstar so light and crispy, along with a delicious sauce made for a wonderful experience. The service was great, and the entire shop was very well kept and clean. First time here but value myself as a bit of a pizza connoisseur. Food/Drink: Pizza by the slice! Fantastic New York style pizza. Limited options of toppings and combos. Partial Italian style menu, appetizers, entrees, pizza, soups, salads, and desserts! Pasta fagioli was excellent! Pizza: Great crunch, nice bite on the slice. Not burnt crust even after reheating, pretty rare. Very flavorful, but limited topping options. Sauce was really good though. Dinning Area: Pretty small, maybe 3 tables, closed space with 2 soda coolers and mostly inside counter space. Prices: Relatively cheap. 3 slice, a soup, 2 breadstick things, 1 can and 1 bottle of soda for $20! Parking: Small, shared lot, very cruddy area. Maybe 4 spots, and a few different stores in a 3/400 feet area. Bathrooms: No bathrooms. Atmosphere: During the weekday lunch rush, pretty dead. Staff/Attendants: Staff was Great highly motivated, good conversationalists, and huge personality traits. Italians from the Bronx is a plus. 10 Today was my first day trying them. I ordered a meatball grinder. Hands down one of the best that i've had in a while. It was flavourful, fresh, and delicious. The price was also reasonable. My favorite pizza in the Danbury area and last weekend was more of the same! I built my own medium with chicken eggplant and roasted red peppers. My boyfriend built his medium with meatball, sausage and bacon. Both of us were more than pleased with our choices! The best part was that his 4.5 year old grandson ate 4 slices of his small cheese pizza!! We ordered and picked it up. It was ready and still warm and delicious when we got it home. The only thing that I need to say is Customer Service is the first in line for service , if you can't do that..what do you have? No service. I called to order a pizza because I read on Yelp that it was good. The initial conversation was weird and awkward. The person who answered the phone had no knowledge of anything, pertaining to "pizza", "specials" nothing. She didn't know "what a house special " is? She passed the phone to some guy, but while doing so, I could hear the conversation she was having (which was a bit condescending) with the guy asking him, "what does this guy want?, what is a special?"I dont what this guy wants? Maybe she was a teenager. If so, if she can't take an order, why is she taking orders (but that's another subject)? Once the guy (that she was talking to) answered the phone , I realized this wasn't gonna work out. His answers were even worse than hers, plus he was sarcastic. The pizza is probably the closest to NY Pizza since we arrived in CT. It's also very good. We drive a few towns away to get it. A lot of places claim to have "NY style pizza" but do not. Nothing wrong with CT Pizza. read more

I have an unspoken rule about pizza places: if it's a tiny, unassuming spot, the pizza is usually bomb. Michael Angelo's is the place that proves the rule. It's our favorite pizza place basically ever. We get takeout from here often enough that they know us. The staff are always friendly and chill, the food is awesome, it's just great all around. Well, except for one drawback. The parking sucks. Everyone drives like a maniac on that street, so it's tough to pull in to a spot and even tougher to leave. Delicious pizza! highly recommended. I've been coming here since we moved to Danbury & it is consistently awesome pizza. Only thing I can say is that sometimes we decide against going bc the owners (particularly the larger guy) can be unfriendly and get annoyed if you ask for something simple (like utensils) - it's a real turn off but we deal with it bc we love their food. Also shocking considering we've been going there so long you'd think it would be more welcoming. Anywho... Today when I went the NICEST young man took care of us, he was so friendly, upbeat and detailed, making sure we had everything we needed. He was working hard and you could tell her was keeping things moving like a well oiled machine, if he didn't looks so young I'd wonder if he bought the business, that's how lovely he was!
