we recently had takeout from this restaurant one of the dishes was the pasta Primavera. I would never order this again. It was totally disappointing. The pasta was completely overcooked with large undercooked pieces of broccoli. The only other vegetables were a few mushrooms, but an over abundance of red onion and roasted red peppers in a watery broth. completely bland with no seasonings whatsoever. read more

The restaurant is tucked into an intimate corner of this property, with a large privacy oriented outdoor seating area under the trees. They have several specials and happy hour offerings, and the menu is well balanced and varied. We started with a "Friday Night Special" appetizer of three "colossal" shrimp at $2 each, and they were "colossal". For an entree I had the Sicilian Pork Chop, a SINGLE CUT pork chop, served with mashed potatoes and steamed mixed vegetables, and an excellent spicy jus. It came with a choice of a side of soup or salad, and I chose the salad, vwhich was a very nice mixed garden salad with high quality greens and Parmesan peppercorn dressing. The wife had the Cobb Salad with Lobster, which was presented beautifully, with a variety of items including hard boiled egg, bacon bits, and Gouda cheese. Very nice! They have a limited but well chosen number of draught beers. We finished with a Keoke coffee and fried dough/ cinnamon sugar sticks with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Both were very nice. We had a wonderful anniversary celebration on Saturday, 5/17. Scott, the owner, was so accommodating with our special needs and requests. The food was delicious, as always. The banquet choices were excellent and The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. We had many positive comments from our guests. Most were from out of town and said they wished they had a restaurant like this nearby. Others, who lived in places like Newtown, Brookfield and Brewster, said that they would definitely return in spite of the distance. read more

Unbeatable price and value for a family style takeout for four- we ordered the chicken parmigiana family style take out which also came with bread, salad, pasta fagioli, and penne ala vodka, all for around $30! Very good traditional Italian style meal. The chicken parmigiana came with about 7 pieces of chicken. We ate most of the chicken and have ample pasta leftover. Our only recommendation would be to add more vegetables in the salad as it was mostly lettuce. Would definitely recommend this for a family of four.. a couple would be able to have one or two nights of leftovers! read more

Love this place!! Perfect for any occasion. I've been before for dinners and a surprise 60th and have only good things to say. Food is amazing, service is amazing, prices are great and the decor/location is great. I hosted a surprise 30th last night in the private room off to the side and would 100% recommend it if your looking to host any party. We had 30 people and fit comfortable. Recently attended a celebratory event here. The service was terrible. Thirty minutes wait time between asking for a beverage, getting a beverage, etc. No milk or cream was served with coffee, and when it was it was expired and curdled. When the party hostess wanted to speak to the owner, he accused her of lying about all of her complaints and disappointment. When she left he followed her out of the restaurant screaming profanities at her until she got in her vehicle. I do NOT recommend visiting this establishment. ​ read more

I decided to buy the chicken parm and penne vodka sauce which came with a soup, bread, and salad. The whole meal was delicious and was plenty for a family of four. The location is hard to find, once you're there the decor is something to be desired and the inside needs a major face lift! There seem to be 4 different areas in the restaurant: large dinning room for big groups; smaller, more intimate area; bar area (with a TV); and an outdoor seating area. The restaurant tries to be "upscale," but it's challenging when the ceiling leaks (slightly), the tile floor is old and grungy looking, the outlets on the walls are almost falling off, and all the tables wobble (everyone in the restaurant on the "intimate" side were placing items under the tables to keep them from wobbling)... So, needless to say, we didn't have high expectations of the food. We ordered the tomato brushetta as an ap; I ordered the chicken marsala with pasta; and the two others in our party ordered calzones. With all entrees (i.e., chicken marsala) you get your choice of salad or soup, I got a salad with white zin dressing. In addition, you get bread and butter. I must say, the bread and butter, well, the butter was really good (see pic). It had garlic and olive oil over it. The garlic was pretty strong, but we really liked it. Salad - good, dressing was the best part. Appetizer of tomato brushetta... well, it is not your typical brushetta with the pile of tomato on top; it was more like wood fired bread with cheese on top and the cheese had a few flakes of tomato in it (see pic). It was okay, we were just surprised at it actually being called brushetta. Main courses (see pics)... the other two in the party LOVED their calzones and both stated they would come back just for the calzone. As most calzones are, these were huge and came with a side of marinara sauce. One person in our party stated that they weren't as greasy as most calzones and that it was one of the best he has had. The chicken marsala was good; I wouldn't say it was the "best" I've ever had, but it was nice and tasty. Overall, the food was excellent, specifically the calzones, the service was great, but the atmosphere was less than desirable, therefore 3 stars. read more

Went for dinner tonight as they have out door service and I am not dining in yet due to covid. The food was excellent. The service was good as well EXCEPT for the fact the staff has neck gators for masks which they are constantly touching as they pull them up and down when they approach people. Half the time the waitress would approach patrons without pulling up her mask at all. At least 3x to our table alone as well as other tables. This made me very uncomfortable. So I will be back but not until covid is under control. Don't want to feel uncomfortable while dining. I can accept being outdoors but I expect staff to wear masks as required. read more

Very disappointing... This was once our favorite local place, but I'm sad to report, service and quality have gone down hill. To paint the picture, the restaurant has 3 different rooms; the main dining room, a secondary dining room, and the bar section. When we first arrived, we were seated at a broken, wobbly table in the secondary dining room, situated right next to the windowed wall next to the bar. I asked if we could transfer to the main dining room, but was told they were having a private party. I pointed out that the table was broken to two different people and though we were told by each someone would come around to fix it, this never happened. We resorted to self-help by folding up the specials menu and placing it under the leg of the table to stop the wobbling. We ordered drinks and a Clams Casino as an appetizer. The clams had a little too much "kick" so we didn't finish them. Next, my wife ordered Penne alla Vodka, which she found to be decent, but my Steak Italiano came out so rubbery and chewy, with huge pieces of stale pepper and onions. Needless to say, I sent that back and was uninterested in ordering anything else. Scotty was busily walking around, but a visit to our table might have carried some weight. I suppose he was busy with the two other tables near us who were also complaining about their orders. In addition, the bar crowd became so loud, breaking out in song in their drunken state. It was very hard for my wife and I to enjoy a quiet dinner after a long week of work. I would imagine the lady with her two young girls sitting in the same room with us felt the bar crowd was overwhelming the whole restaurant. I'm really sorry to see this place deteriorate so much. It seems with the small staff and large crowd, they have bitten off more than they could chew. read more

A restaurant with a heart and soul. The owner is very dedicated to the local community. The staff is very helpful. I am on a very low sodium diet. If you explain your food problem with staff they try very hard to accommodate. The food is very good,sometimes outstanding. The seafood is fresh. The New York strip is better than most steakhouses. The marinara sauce is excellent. I tend to stay away from the Italian food because of sodium but manage a taste from dining partners. Rarely disappointed. I hope you like garlic... Almost everything we ordered was coated in garlic and it was very visible. Yes garlic can add great flavor but the desire is not to have every dish taste similar. This place calls itself an Italian restaurant however it serves buffalo wing and other items you would expect to see at a sports bar. The bar itself is definitely a sports bar with all the tvs and advertising there is. Do not order the calamari, it is the worst I have ever had and reminds me of something I would see served on Bar Rescue (TV shows). The food is edible and definitely a place for locals but I don't plan on coming back as it's not real Italian food. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have someone clean the bathrooms, put up some stall dividers, etc. Parking is horrible by the way. We need a good mom and pop Italian restaurant, not migrants trying to imitate Italian food. read more

Was there for a graduation party. The Antipasti was fabulous. So was the balsamic dressing. APPETIZERS - Stuffed mushrooms were very flavorful. The spicy calamari was done just right. Tender inside with a crispy breaded outside. The mozzarella sticks seemed to be the average frozen type you get in a supermarket. ENTREES- Stuffed flounder - Flounder was moist and tender. The stuffing was a little pasty with no evidence of crabmeat. Penne with vodka sauce - Penne was aldente and the sauce was spot on perfect. Eggplant rollatini was perfection. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of stuffing. Sauce was also excellent. Chicken Parmesan - Flavor was very good. The chicken patties looked like the frozen kind with a lot of breading and not much chicken. Chicken Francais - One of the worst chicken francais dishes I have ever had in a restaurant. The sauce was tasteless. It was tough, dry and like rubber. Mentioned how terrible with chicken was and they did not even give my sister in law a discount because of the absolutely terrible chicken. The staff was excellent. Friendly and very attentive. Cleaned and served perfectly. The owner should be proud of his employees. CONCLUSION - 2 Stars Why - Chicken Francais - the worst - less one star Did not give a discount for a terrible entree - less one star My sister in law said she was charged for more people that were at the catered party there - less 1 star IF YOU HAVE A CATERED PARTY HERE MAKE SURE YOU ARE CHARGED FOR THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF PEOPLE. This is by far the best Italian restaurant around!! It's a little hidden gem! My family and I come here as often as we can they have a great vibe inside and out. Inside dinning is so romantic and quiet, outside is so fun and upbeat with a bar and fire pit! Don't even get me started on their food... best food every plate I've tried has never disappointed! Biscotti's is one of the better Italian options in the area, jousting with Villa Pasta for the crown as best Italian in New Fairfield. The food is quality, and I've rarely had any issues. You always know you're going to get a good meal with good portions. And the parking lot is always full, so that's a good sign, even before you walk in. My recommendation is going with an entree. Yes, they have pizza, but it's not the best in town. It has a very thin crust, which is great because you can enjoy several slices without being full on bread. The cheese isn't the best quality, as evident by the enormous amount of grease that flows off the pie. But back to the entrees... the portions are more than generous, and any normal person would get two meals out of it. The chicken or veal parm are always huge portions, and the seafood fra diablo is my personal favorite. The most important thing for an Italian restaurant is to have a good, homemade marinara, and Biscotti's does not disappoint. It's got some spice to it, but it's not hot per se. The pepper or chili they use in there gives it the perfect amount of zest. Their batter is awesome on fried apps, so the sauce with some fried mozz or calamari is a great snack or start to the meal. There were no tentacles in the calamari though, which was kinda a bummer. Only time we've ever had a bad experience was a take out order, where we got a bad fettuccini alfredo. Perhaps it was the cream, maybe the cheese, but it just tasted awful. When we called back, the restaurant was more than happy to credit us for the dish, which we used the following night. It was okay having only one entree for two people, because it was plenty of food for two. There's also a bar, usually full of some characters... but in a good way. I've met some great folks here, and have had some conversations I'll never forget... but in a good way! The staff is always friendly, attentive, and eager to please. We went today (on Father's Day) and we haven't stopped talking about our meals.... first to start the bread comes on the table steaming with the best butter and oil I've had. Next we started with the the island calamari and it was simply amazing always get the those island with the peppers! My mother who even hates seafood enjoyed it. Then.... the meals... I m first generation Italian grew up on the Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx . This Italian food was the worst I ever had delivered. Eggplant parm was absolutely disgusting. The sausage and pepper hero was topped with shredded parm not requested. When I contacted the restaurant as to my disappointment the owner Scott told me that if you are complaining to go "F" myself and hung up... I go to this place with Bronx friends as they have a nice outdoor eating seating when we are in the neighborhood but never ever again!!! I know the restaurant owners are under stress during these trying times but Scott's response is inexcusable...Fugazi Italian Food!!!! Scott's reply was that I was rude. Is rude just informing the owner that his food was uneatable? Again I totally understand what local owners are going through in these uncharted times but an owner Scott should never tell a customer under any circumstances to go "F" themselves as I recorded on our call. Wanted a local place for Italian food, tried this place on a Groupon. The food was good. The appetizer with fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes and prosciutto was great. Waitress was friendly and effectient. Husband had chicken parmesan, was good. The only drawback was a large party of 8+ women that were very loud, the whole time we were there, they were there way before us. Then several of them and a couple more were standing in middle of dinning room talking. When we said something to the waitress, she said they were going to the bar soon. Staff were nice...seemed to be a little burned out, but nice. Service was great. Bruschetta was really good. Salads were not exciting. Soup was ok. My son was happy with his pizza. My wife and I were less than impressed with our chicken (Picatta and Francese). Chicken was very tough, perhaps overcooked (better than undercooked, I guess?). Vegetables had NO flavor!
