The doctor was putting a hot wire close to my heel and I was an agony. She did it three more times. I suspect she damaged the nerve but told me it would go away. It hasn't. I don't know if it ever will. I regret it. Now I have to find somewhere else to actually finish the spider vein work. I am not comfortable going back to this business. I spent a lot of money and I'm not happy. They billed my insurance but neglected to tell me I had $2700 out-of-pocket co-pay after numerous procedures, plus $400 per session for spider veins and was told not to come back for three months. I wore compression stockings for months throughout the summer. It's not worth it. I'm not happy. I'm not sure what to do. I drove well over 1000 miles back-and-forth to the office two and three times a week.

The previous doc, PA, and NP at Prevene we saw were all knowledgeable but also took the time to listen and do a proper assessment. More often than not, they also thought through root cause possibilities rather than simply looking for a band-aid to slap on via meds or overly simplistic advice. Our last few appointments with the new staff was full of interruptions and more talking than listening, telling me the same thing you could find online or in a book. She makes sure all of your questions are answered and even is the first to check on you before your surgery and give you a timeline. She did an amazing job and my scar is hardly noticeable. Having the specialty knowledge, it is clear this is what she does ever day and has mastered her skill. However, I cannot offer the full review due to her billing department. Prior to surgery I faced my first issue. They called to take my deductible payment. I had to call my bank 3 times because it kept declining because they are using Square and my bank thought it was a fraudulent transaction. I thought this was all settled until I received my bill from the hospital - and the deductible was also applied. The billing department billed my insurance incorrectly and thus the hospital was able to file first. It is almost six months now and I have still not received a refund for the overpayment. I have called about once a month. I was advised they didn't have everything back from my insurance. I can see it on my end and have sent in the paperwork needed. Yet I have not received any responses nor my refund. It is very unfortunate because I would like to recommend Dr Vazquez if anyone I come across every needs Thyroid surgery. Unfortunately, the fact the billing department cannot seem to process in a timely manner is preventing me from this.

I went to this practice specifically for PRP injections having exhausted so many other treatments for chronic neck pain. Multiple people told me to try this treatment because it helped them immensely. I did three rounds of injections as advised. No imaging/mri was ever taken or done before hand which I questioned. The injections were painful and each time I let them know I was getting much relief. I paid 1675.00 for three treatments and was told that generally helps most people. After the third treatment I was told I may have to much damage and stem cell injections would be the next option. I confirmed with other doctors that stem cells cannot be taken from the stomach area which is what this clinic does. So thankful I did not spend the 5,000 here on that treatment. After being in pain, spending money and getting no relief I moved on and had several second opinions. I learned PRP injections are done very differently and was advised by reputable doctors that I was scammed. An mri is a bare minimum when injecting into the neck and the amount of prp used was extremely low. Also, it is generally one treatment and you are under anesthesia because they go through many layers. When a person is in pain they are desperate for some relief and I feel this clinic took advantage and took my money. The treatments are not being done properly and it creates false hope and then you are left with no relief and cannot get that money back. Unacceptable. Please go to a reputable doctor for PRP if you are considering. I'm trying to get my money back with no luck. I need to have PRP done again elsewhere and the money would go towards it.
